Strategic information systems (SIS) focus on the use of information system (IS) and information technology (IT) in the strategic management process in business organizations. The emphasis is on the strategic view of IS and IT and their impact on organizational strategy. Increased competition and advances in information technologies push for considerable structural changes in SIS. Agents, as autonomous entities which either work on their own or cooperate with others, and agent architectures have enormous potentials to be applied in such critical systems. In this article, first we investigate the very fundamental concepts of strategic information systems and intelligent agent technology. Then, the discussion continues on the specification of the characteristics and implementation issues of a typical SIS. Afterwards, we make use of these concepts and integrate them into a state-of-the-art, intelligent architecture for strategic information systems, called intelligent agent-based SIS. This is a comprehensive framework for a SIS in IT era which may be put into practice by a team of professionals in the near future. The graphical representation of this model is intended to help the reader understand the concept much better. After explaining the suggested model in full details, we introduce some support agents and specify their corresponding roles in an intelligent agent-based SIS architecture. Discussions and concluding remarks regarding the proposed system are provided at the end of the paper.  相似文献

为了弥补区间值模糊集和三参数模糊集在模糊信息表达方面的不足,在Flou集的基础上,提出了一种新的L模糊集,Flou值模糊集,并用投票模型对其作出解释。引入Flou嵌套集的概念,结合Flou值模糊集截集的定义及分解定理,建立了Flou值模糊集的表现定理,并用一个实际算例验证了表现定理的有效性。它揭示了Flou集和Flou值模糊集的联系,提供了一种利用Flou嵌套集拼成Flou值模糊集的方法。为处理模糊信息提供了一种新的工具,并为Flou值模糊集的研究和应用奠定了初步的理论基础。  相似文献

This study aims at developing an evaluation framework of strategic information systems (SIS) and evaluating the SIS planning and implementation by using a cognitive approach called the repertory grid technique. The findings are based on in-depth interviews with chief information officers (CIOs) involved with SIS developments in their organisations. This exploratory study builds on a cognitive methodology and enables us to develop the evaluation framework of SIS within the CIO's mind. In a practical viewpoint, we evaluated the effectiveness of the essential activities in the SIS planning and implementation. Results showed that activities on analysing industry and environment, analysing information system weakness and strength, formulating SIS strategy, identifying SIS initiatives, prioritising and allocating resources for SIS, documenting SIS, and liaising with top management team are well performed.  相似文献

Spatial data quality has become an issue of increasing concern to researchers and practitioners in the field of Spatial Information Systems (SIS). Clearly the results of any spatial analysis are only as good as the data on which it is based. There are a number of significant areas for data quality research in SIS. These include topological consistency; consistency between spatial and attribute data; and consistency between spatial objects representation and their true representation on the ground. The last category may be subdivided into spatial accuracy and attribute accuracy. One approach to improving data quality is the imposition of constraints upon data entered into the database. This paper presents a taxonomy of integrity constraints as they apply to spatial database systems. Taking a cross disciplinary approach it aims to clarify some of the terms used in the database and SIS fields for data integrity management. An overview of spatial data quality concerns is given and each type of constraint is assessed regarding its approach to addressing these concerns. Some indication of an implementation method is also given for each.  相似文献

知识约简是粗糙集理论研究的主要内容之一,该文在信息系统中引入了知识的相对信息量的概念。对一致决策表,证明了其属性约简在代数表示下和相对信息量表示下是等价的,但对不一致决策表,举例说明其属性约简的代数表示不能用相对信息量来等价表示。由此可见,相对信息量表示比代数表示直观,但不能完全代替代数表示方法。  相似文献

The efficient handling of land information within the urban environment, a requirement for sustainable city life, can be achieved with the application of spatial information systems (SIS). The particular application discussed in this paper is directed towards the recording and analysis of tenant-created extensions to government built housing, activity which has, in effect, turned housing consumers into housing producers. The customising of a commercial GIS is described, as is its potential use in case studies from Egypt, Ghana and Zimbabwe. Both neighbourhood structures and the layout of individual houses are capable of analysis. The integration of diverse data sets to create the SIS is outlined, as is the consequent need for comprehensive metadata. Implementation issues of SIS in the Third World are considered, along with further possible research themes such as the role of time, the topology of buildings, the use of SIS in demographics and the study of interior building circulation patterns.  相似文献

Recently, stereoscopic 3D technologies have come to be used widely in various applications including movies and computer games. Stereoscopic 3D is defined as that which provides visual depth and details by exploiting the stereoscopic vision of the eyes caused by binocular disparity. Prior studies proposed important system features of stereoscopic 3D that may increase the user’s sense of presence. However, few studies, either theoretical or empirical, have investigated how these perceived system features affect the user’s sense of presence. This study aims to construct a theoretical model that explains the perceived effects of stereoscopic 3D features on sense of presence, and to verify the validity of the model in the 3D computer game domain. The study focuses on spatial representation and perceived realism as important mediating factors between the perceived system features and sense of presence. According to the Dual Mode Model (DMM), two types of spatial representation are crucial for perceived realism and presence: egocentric representation and allocentric representation. Egocentric representation implies representing locations with respect to the particular perspective of the perceiver, while allocentric representation locates reference points outside of the perceiver, regardless of his or her position. Research questions in this study are: How strongly do perceived expression and manipulation features of stereoscopic 3D systems influence spatial representation? How does spatial representation influence perceived realism and presence in a stereoscopic 3D environment? In order to answer these research questions an empirical study was conducted in a controlled lab environment. A total number of 257 users participated in the study and collected data was analyzed by using structural equation modeling with SmartPLS2.0. The findings are as follows: First, both the perceived expression and manipulation features of the stereoscopic 3D system influenced spatial representation, but the perceived expression features had stronger effects than the perceived manipulation features. Second, both egocentric and allocentric representation were found to affect presence. In addition, egocentric representation was found to affect sense of presence both directly and indirectly through perceived realism, whereas allocentric representation contributed a sense of presence only indirectly through perceived realism. ABSTRACT

This article aims to advance information society research and practice by examining and understanding the information and communication technologies (ICT) adoption in enterprises for improving the sustainable information society (SIS). This study employs a quantitative approach to investigate how enterprises adopt ICT, and how this adoption influences different types of sustainability and improves the sustainable information society. The survey questionnaires were used, and data collected from 396 enterprises were analyzed to understand the correlations between the ICT adoption and the sustainability in the SIS. The research findings reveal that the ICT quality, ICT management, and information culture have a significant impact on the sustainability in the SIS, whereas the outlay on ICT does not have such an impact. This study advances the information society research and practice by developing a model to depict the dimensions of ICT adoption and their impact on different types of sustainability in the SIS.  相似文献

The recent information set theory provides a useful mechanism to represent an agent’s perceived information values. However, often a decision-maker (DM) considers multiple evaluations for the same information source value. To this end, we extend the recent information set as hesitant information set (HIS). It gives the multiple perceived information values, corresponding to an information source value. In the context of multi-attribute decision making, HIS represents a set of different possible subjective utilities that an agent may perceive as an evaluation of an alternative-attribute pair. The basic operations, and properties of HIS are investigated. A few information measures based on HIS are presented. Besides many illustrative examples, a real application in group multi attribute decision making problem is included.  相似文献

During the last decades, strategic information systems (SIS) research has become an influential stream within the information systems discipline. The success story of the Journal of Strategic Information Systems provides strong evidence. Yet, we believe that there is still a lot of untapped potential in the interaction of SIS research and industry. Put bluntly, it is impossible that results of SIS research are publicly available, reconstructable by subject matter experts, and valid beyond the single or very few cases and at the same time constitute the foundation of competitive advantage. We argue that SIS researchers need to become boundary spanners who actively engage in industry collaboration to help create competitive advantage and who disseminate their insights later on to advance the scientific knowledge base. We outline challenges of boundary-spanning SIS research and provide some ideas and recommendations. Wherever sensible, we draw on our experiences from the traditionally strong industry collaboration of the business and information systems engineering community from the German-speaking countries.  相似文献

An advanced geometric modeler GEMS4.0 has been developed,in which feature representation is used at the highest level abstraction of a product model.Boundary representation is used at the bottom level,while CSG model is adopted at the median level.A BRep data structure capable of modeling non-manifold is adopted.UNRBS representation is used for all curved surfaces,Quadric surfaces have dual representations consisting of their geometric data such as radius,center point,and center axis.Boundary representation of free form surfaces is easily built by sweeping and skinning method with NURBS geometry.Set operations on curved solids with boundary representation are performed by an evaluation process consisting of four steps.A file exchange facility is provided for the conversion between product data described by STEP and product information generated by GEMS4.0.  相似文献

The study aims to understand the influence of social information systems (SIS) on absorptive capacity (AC) and innovation in Austrian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For this purpose, a framework was developed and empirically tested using a nationwide, mixed-mode survey on a random sample of 138 SMEs of knowledge-intensive industries. The results show that the backbone of SIS utilization is SIS governance. SIS capabilities mediate the positive effects of SIS utilization on AC components, which build on each other and mediate the positive effects of SIS capabilities on innovation. Our findings provide a number of useful implications for research and industry.  相似文献

信息离散性度量方法在生物信息处理领域中获得成功的应用,其基本思想是利用子序列分布差异来表示序列之间的差异,但是子序列长度的变化对结果的影响较大。文中提出了一种新的基于信息离散度的DNA序列相似性分析方法,利用不同距离的碱基对的联合概率分布差异来表示DNA序列之间的差异,并分析了信息集变化对结果的影响。实验结果表明,该方法是分析DNA序列相似性的简单且有效的工具。当信息集变化时,相似度较高的序列间的距离值变化很小。  相似文献

In this paper, a fuzzy Object-Oriented Data model (FOOD) is defined based on the extension of a Graph-based Object model (D. Lucarella and A. Zanzi “A graph-oriented data model,” in Database and Expert Systems Applications, R. Wagner and H. Toma, Eds., Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 1996, pp. 197–206), in order to manage both crisp and imperfect information. These capabilities are requisites of many current applications dealing with data of different nature and with complex interrelationships. The model is based on a visual paradigm which supports both the representation of the data semantics and the direct browsing of the information. In the extended model both the database scheme and instances are represented as directed labeled graphs in which the fuzzy and uncertain information has its own representation. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
