Cutthroat competition amid subsidiary companies of IT Group Company due to immanent characteristics of IT industry and grouping management mechanism infringes upon the collective profits. Two ways to avoid cutthroat competition of group company with game theory are studied:the assessment objective made by IT group company for subsidiary companies focuses on profits not revenue; the supervisory department of group company shall intensify law enforcement strength and give severe punishment against illegal depreciation of the subsidiary company.

1 Introduction With the rapid development of economic society, many group companies in IT industry emerge and expand, with new management problems: internal profit division, disorderly competition, and the problem that subsidiary companies do the things in their own way and beat down each other. Such cutthroat competition damages the group’s benefit and enables the company to fail to bring the advantage of 1+1>2 allocating optimized resources, nothing else than killing the hen to get the eggs…     

Assessment on IT-based Technical Innovation of the Subordinate Company of the Corporation

Information technology （IT） is one of the most important means by which companies can win an advantaged position in drastically competed market. It has a positive effect on the advancement of the corporation＇s technical innovation. The application of IT can promote the communication among subordinates of a corporation or group, reduce explicit boundaries of the subordinates, and boost the ripple effect of technical innovation of the subordinates. Not only does any subordinate company within a corporation need to assess both technical and economic benefits brought to the corporation itself by technical innovation, but also it should thoroughly analyze how the ripple effect of technical innovation among subordinate companies plays a significant role in the boosting value of the corporation as a whole. In this paper, a scientific approach to assessing technical innovation of a subordinate company is proposed through analyzing the ripple effect of IT-based technical innovation on subordinate companies.

Having discovered India's inexpensive engineering talent years ago, nearly every big tech company has a subsidiary there. Now the venture capital (VC) groups of these multinationals are discovering India's independent start-ups. Venture capital investment in India is on the way to a substantial increase this year, with US $341 million committed in the first half of 2007. That follows VC's nearly doubling in 2006 to $508 million spread over 90 deals. Nearly 15 percent of the 2006 money came from the venture capital divisions of companies like Cisco Systems, Google, IBM, Intel, and Yahoo, according to Arun Natarajan, CEO of Venture Intelligence, a Chennai-based firm that tracks VC investments. That's a much higher proportion than in the United States, where in 2006 big companies accounted for less than 8 percent of VC financing.     

The Empirical Studies on IT Management Effectiveness in Japan: 2000, 2002 and the Future

Many corporate senior managers have not been fully convinced of successful IT management over a period of decades. In order to clarify the mechanism of IT management in companies, we conducted the surveys on IT management in 2000 and 2002. Through the surveys and analyses, we found the causal structure in IT management, developed IT Management Effectiveness as a new measurement tool, published ranking lists of high scored companies, and analyzed characteristics of industry/sizes of respondents and so on. Based on the surveys and researches so far, we would suggest future works, such as comparison of Japanese companies with overseas companies, time series analyses.

Many corporate senior managers have not been fully convinced of successful IT management over a period of decades. In order to clarify the mechanism of IT management in companies, we conducted the surveys on IT management in 2000 and 2002. Factors Influencing Strategic Use of Information Technology and Its Impact on Business Performance of SMEs

In this paper, we study the relationship between factors influencing the strategic use of IT and business performance by conducting a survey of small and medium‐size enterprises (SMEs). From the results of our survey we came to several conclusions which are presented here. First, IT investment has a significant impact on the strategic use of IT, and the strategic use of IT has a significant impact on business performance. Second, SME investment in IT and strategic use of IT are influenced by both the intensity of competition in the market environment and partnership with other organizations. Third, the support from the management group in SMEs is a core factor for IT investment and strategic use of IT. Finally, for SMEs to use IT strategically and successfully, it is necessary to combine members' participation with a flexible organizational structure and culture.

Managing the Experience in IT R & D Department

How to manage the experience in IT RD department is vital for the IT company. The primary purpose of this paper is to probe into the natural character of the experience in IT RD department, and put forward the strategy of how to manage it. The research on the strategies is applied in a mobile phone game software company to further validate its efficiency. The results indicate using the strategies of a learning history and dynamic knowledge map can improve the performance level and more attentions should focus on the relationship between people and how to communicate.
