The new monomer, 5′-O-methacryloyl-3′-azido-3′-deoxythymidine (MAZT), was synthesized by the reaction of methacryloyl chloride and 3′-azido-3′-deoxythymidine (AZT). Poly(MAZT) and copolymers of MAZT with vinyl acetate (VAc) and maleic anhydride (MAH) were synthesized by radical polymerizations. The synthesized MAZT and polymers were identified by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), 13C NMR, elemental analysis and gel permeation chromatography. The quantities of MAZT units in poly(MAZT-co-VAc) and poly(MAZT-co-MAH) were 45 and 27 mol%, respectively. The weight average molecular weights of the polymers synthesized were in the range from 8800 to 17600. The in vitro cytotoxicities of samples against K562 human leukaemia cell line at 100 μg ml-1 decreased in the following order: poly(MAZT-co-MAH) > poly(MAZT-co-VAc) > poly(MAZT) > MAZT > AZT. The in vivo anti-tumour activities of the polymers synthesized against Balb/C mice bearing sarcoma 180 tumour cells were greater than those of 5-fluorouracil at all concentrations.  相似文献

The electrostatic charge dissipative (ESD) properties of conducting self‐doped and PTSA-doped copolymers of aniline (AA), o‐methoxyaniline (methoxy AA) and o‐ethoxyaniline (ethoxy AA) with 3‐aminobenzenesulfonic acid (3‐ABSA) blended with low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) were investigated in the presence of external dopant p‐toluenesulfonic acid (PTSA). Blending of copolymers with LDPE was carried out in a twin‐screw extruder by melt blending by loading 1.0 and 2.0 wt% of conducting copolymer in the LDPE matrix. The conductivity of the blown polymers blended with LDPE was in the range 10?12–10?6 S cm?1, showing their potential use as antistatic materials for the encapsulation of electronic equipment. The DC conductivity of all self‐doped homopolymers and PTSA‐doped copolymers was measured in the range 100–373 K. The room temperature conductivity (S cm?1) of self‐doped copolymers was: poly(3‐ABSA‐co‐AA), 7.73 × 10?4; poly(3‐ABSA‐co‐methoxy AA), 3.06 × 10?6; poly(3‐ABSA‐co‐ethoxy AA), 2.99 × 10?7; and of PTSA‐doped copolymers was: poly(3‐ABSA‐co‐AA), 4.34 × 10?2; poly(3‐ABSA‐co‐methoxy AA), 9.90 × 10?5; poly(3‐ABSA‐co‐ethoxy AA), 1.10 × 10?5. The observed conduction mechanism for all the samples could be explained in terms of Mott's variable range hopping model; however, ESD properties are dependent upon the electrical conductivity. The antistatic decay time is least for the PTSA‐doped poly(3‐ABSA‐co‐AA), which has maximum conductivity among all the samples. © 2013 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Polymeric solid electrolytes, with excellent cationic conductivity, were prepared from the complexation of lithium methoxyoligo(oxyethylene) sulfate and lithium methoxyoligo(oxyethylene) sulfonate with poly[methoxyoligo(oxyethylene)methacrylate-co-acrylamide]. The electrolytes exhibit low glass transition temperature and have almost no crystal. Their ionic conductivities at 25°C are over 10?5 S/cm. The carrier number in the complex decreases while ionic mobility increases considerably with increasing considerably with increasing temperature. The polarization reversing method confirms that the cationic transference numbers are all over 0.9. The electrolytes have single ion conduction characteristics in DC polarization. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Polyaniline (PANI), poly(o‐anisidine), and poly[aniline‐co‐(o‐anisidine)] were synthesized by chemical oxidative polymerization with ammonium persulfate as an oxidizing reagent in an HCl medium. The viscosities, electrical conductivity, and crystallinity of the resulting polymers (self‐doped forms) were compared with those of the doped and undoped forms. The self‐doped, doped, and undoped forms of these polymers were characterized with infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, and a four‐point‐probe conductivity method. X‐ray diffraction characterization revealed the crystalline nature of the polymers. The observed decrease in the conductivity of the copolymer and poly(o‐anisidine) with respect to PANI was attributed to the incorporation of the methoxy moieties into the PANI chain. The homopolymers attained conductivity in the range of 3.97 × 10?3 to 7.8 S/cm after doping with HCl. The conductivity of the undoped forms of the poly[aniline‐co‐(o‐anisidine)] and poly(o‐anisidine) was observed to be lower than 10?5 J/S cm?1. The conductivity of the studied polymer forms decreased by the doping process in the following order: self‐doped → doped → undoped. The conductivity of the studied polymers decreased by the monomer species in the following order: PANI → poly[aniline‐co‐(o‐anisidine)] → poly(o‐anisidine). All the polymer samples were largely amorphous, but with the attachment of the pendant groups of anisidine to the polymer system, the crystallinity region increased. The undoped form of poly[aniline‐co‐(o‐anisidine)] had good solubility in common organic solvents, whereas doped poly[aniline‐co‐(o‐anisidine)] was moderately crystalline and exhibited higher conductivity than the anisidine homopolymer. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Proton exchange membranes (PEMs) based on blends of poly(ether sulfone) (PES) and sulfonated poly(vinylidene fluoride‐co‐hexafluoropropylene) (sPVdF‐co‐HFP) were prepared successfully. Fabricated blend membranes showed favorable PEM characteristics such as reduced methanol permeability, high selectivity, and improved mechanical integrity. Additionally, these membranes afford comparable proton conductivity, good oxidative stability, moderate ion exchange capacity, and reasonable water uptake. To appraise PEM performance, blend membranes were characterized using techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, AC impedance spectroscopy; atomic force microscopy, and thermogravimetry. Addition of hydrophobic PES confines the swelling of the PEM and increases the ultimate tensile strength of the membrane. Proton conductivities of the blend membranes are about 10?3 S cm?1. Methanol permeability of 1.22 × 10?7cm2 s?1 exhibited by the sPVdF‐co‐HFP/PES10 blend membrane is much lower than that of Nafion‐117. AFM studies divulged that the sPVdF‐co‐HFP/PES blend membranes have nodule like structure, which confirms the presence of hydrophilic domain. The observed results demonstrated that the sPVdF‐co‐HFP/PES blend membranes have promise for possible usage as a PEM in direct methanol fuel cells. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Poly[aniline‐coN‐(2‐hydroxyethyl) aniline] was synthesized in an aqueous hydrochloric acid medium with a determined feed ratio by chemical oxidative polymerization. This polymer was used as a functional conducting polymer intermediate because of its side‐group reactivity. To synthesize the alkyl‐substituted copolymer, the initial copolymer was reacted with NaH to obtain the N‐ and O‐anionic copolymer after the reaction with octadecyl bromide to prepare the octadecyl‐substituted polymer. The microstructure of the obtained polymers was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 1H‐NMR, and X‐ray diffraction. The thermal behavior of the polymers was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The morphology of obtained copolymers was studied by scanning electron microscopy. The cyclic voltammetry investigation showed the electroactivity of poly [aniline‐coN‐(2‐hydroxyethyl) aniline] and N and O‐alkylated poly[aniline‐coN‐(2‐hydroxyethyl) aniline]. The conductivities of the polymers were 5 × 10?5 S/cm for poly[aniline‐coN‐(2‐hydroxyethyl) aniline] and 5 ×10?7 S/cm for the octadecyl‐substituted copolymer. The conductivity measurements were performed with a four‐point probe method. The solubility of the initial copolymer in common organic solvents such as N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone and dimethylformamide was greater than polyaniline. The alkylated copolymer was mainly soluble in nonpolar solvents such as n‐hexane and cyclohexane. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2012  相似文献

Ferrocene‐substituted conducting polymer namely poly(trans‐1‐(4‐methyl‐3′‐thienyl)‐2‐(ferrocenyl)ethene‐co‐3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) [P(MTFE‐co‐EDOT)] was synthesized and its electrochromic properties were studied. Monomer, MTFE, was obtained using 2‐(ferrocenyl)ethene and 3‐methyl‐4‐bromothiophene. The structure of monomer was determined via Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), 1H‐NMR, and 13C‐NMR techniques. The copolymer was synthesized using this monomer and EDOT. The resulting copolymer P(MTFE‐co‐EDOT) was characterized by cyclic voltammetry, FTIR, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and UV–vis spectroscopy. The conductivity measurements of copolymer and PEDOT were accomplished by the four‐probe technique. Although poly(trans‐1‐(4‐methyl‐3′‐thienyl)‐2‐(ferrocenyl)ethene) [P(MTFE)] reveals no electrochromic activity, its copolymer with EDOT has two different colors (violet and gray). Band gap (Eg) and λmax of P(MTFE‐co‐EDOT) were determined. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2012  相似文献

The conductivities of blends of low‐density polyethylene and poly(4‐vinyl pyridine) (P4VP) were studied. The blends were synthesized by in situ sorption and thermal polymerization of 4‐vinylpyridine in low‐density polyethylene. They showed, after iodine doping, conductivities of 1.7 to 5.0 × 10?7 S cm?1 at 298 K, depending on the P4VP mass increment into the matrix. Their conductivities were one order of magnitude higher for measurements at 338 K. The optimum ratio of iodine to pyridine (n) which gave the highest conductivity was 0.21. The thermal stability of doped blends was acceptable for their uses as electrochemical devices. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 87: 939–944, 2003  相似文献

A series of free‐standing hybrid anion‐exchange membranes were prepared by blending brominated poly(2,6‐dimethyl‐1,4‐phenylene oxide) (BPPO) with poly(vinylbenzyl chloride‐co‐γ‐methacryloxypropyl trimethoxy silane) (poly(VBC‐co‐γ‐MPS)). Apart from a good compatibility between organic and inorganic phases, the hybrid membranes had a water uptake of 32.4–51.8%, tensile strength around 30 MPa, and Td temperature at 5% weight loss around 243–261°C. As compared with the membrane prepared from poly (VBC‐co‐γ‐MPS), the hybrid membranes exhibited much better flexibility, and larger ion‐exchange capacity (2.19–2.27 mmol g?1) and hydroxyl (OH?) conductivity (0.0067–0.012 S cm?1). In particular, the hybrid membranes with 60–75 wt % BPPO had the optimum water uptake, miscibility between components, and OH? conductivity, and were promising for application in fuel cells. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Summary The polymers containing 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid (AMPA) were prepared by radical polymerizations. The polymers were identified by FT-IR, 1H-, and 13C-NMR spectroscopies. The contents of AMPA unit in poly(AMPA-co-MAH), terpoly(AMPA-MAH-FUR), and poly(AMPA-co-EETFU) were 67, 73 and 49 mol %, respectively. The number average molecular weights of the polymers determined by GPC were in range from 5,600 to 9,200. The IC50 values of the synthesized polymers against cancer cell lines were in the range of 0.02 to 127. The in vivo antitumor activities of polymers against Balb/C mice bearing the sarcoma 180 tumor cells were greater than those of 5-FU. The development of flexible electronics requires the patterning of conductive and active semiconductor films. Although inorganic materials such as indium tin oxide and metal nanoparticles have high conductivity and transparency, their poor interfacial adhesion with organic layers, lack of flexibility, high weight and high capital costs are drawbacks. In contrast, organic conducting polymers have great potential for use in commercial flexible electronic applications because of their low production costs, environmental stability and acceptable conductivities. A UV‐curable photoresist containing hydroxyl groups was prepared from a mixture of a photoinitiator, epoxy‐acrylate resin, hydroxyethyl methacrylate and tripropylene glycol diacrylate. Patterns having line widths/spaces of 100/100 µm and 10/5 µm were fabricated on a poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) substrate using lithography techniques. (3‐Methyl‐3,4‐dihydro‐2H‐thieno[3,4‐b]dioxepin‐3‐yl)methanol (ProDOT‐OH) was self‐synthesized through urethane linkages onto the surface of the patterned photoresist on the PET film, which was then dipped into a solution of another monomer, 3‐thienylethoxybutanesulfonate (TEBS), and initiator and polymerized in situ to form conductive poly(ProDOT‐OH‐co‐TEBS) films covering the surface of the patterned resist. The optimal conductivity of the poly(ProDOT‐OH‐co‐TEBS) films was ca 90 S cm?1 with an optical transparency of ca 70%. A new bottom‐up technique has been developed for the preparation of patterned organic transparent conductive films: self‐synthesis of the monomer using urethane‐forming reactions and subsequent in situ polymerization. The conductivity of the films can be controlled by the polymerization reaction time and the resolution of the pattern. These conductive patterned films might be applicable to the manufacture of industrial touch panels or chemical/biological sensors. Copyright © 2009 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Conductivity hysteresis and room temperature ionic conductivities >10−3 S/cm were recently reported for electrolytes prepared from blends of an amphiphilic comb copolymer, poly[2,5,8,11,14-pentaoxapentadecamethylene (5-hexadecyloxy-1,3-phenylene)] (polymer I), and a linear multiblock copolymer, poly(oligotetrahydrofuran-co-dodecamethylene) (polymer II), following thermal treatment [F. Chia, Y. Zheng, J. Liu, N. Reeves, G. Ungar, P.V. Wright, Electrochim. Acta 43 (2003) 1939]. To investigate the origin of these effects, polymers I and II were synthesized in this work, and the conductivity and thermal properties of the individual polymers were investigated. AC impedance measurements were conducted on I and II doped with LiBF4 or LiClO4 during gradual heating to 110 °C and slow cooling to room temperature. Significant conductivity hysteresis was seen for polymer II, and was similarly observed for poly(tetrahydrofuran) (PTHF) homopolymer at equivalent doping levels. From thermogravimetic analysis (TGA), gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and 1H NMR spectroscopy, both polymer II and PTHF were found to partially decompose to THF during heat treatment, resulting in a self-plasticizing effect on conductivity.  相似文献

New hybrid poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate‐co‐methyl methacrylate)‐g‐polyhedral oligosilsesquioxane [poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA)‐g‐POSS] nanocomposites were synthesized by the combination of reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization and click chemistry using a grafting to protocol. Initially, the random copolymer poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA) was prepared by RAFT polymerization of HEMA and MMA. Alkynyl side groups were introduced onto the polymeric backbones by esterification reaction between 4‐pentynoic acid and the hydroxyl groups on poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA). Azide‐substituted POSS (POSS? N3) was prepared by the reaction of chloropropyl‐heptaisobutyl‐substituted POSS with NaN3. The click reaction of poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA)‐alkyne and POSS? N3 using CuBr/PMDEATA as a catalyst afforded poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA)‐g‐POSS. The structure of the organic/inorganic hybrid material was investigated by Fourier transformed infrared, 1H‐NMR, and 29Si‐NMR. The elemental mapping analysis of the hybrid using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and EDX also suggest the formation of poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA)‐anchored POSS nanocomposites. The XRD spectrum of the nanocomposites gives evidence that the incorporation of POSS moiety leads to a hybrid physical structure. The morphological feature of the hybrid nanocomposites as captured by field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopic analyses indicate that a thick layer of polymer brushes was immobilized on the POSS cubic nanostructures. The gel permeation chromatography analysis of poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA) and poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA)‐g‐POSS further suggests the preparation of nanocomposites by the combination of RAFT and click chemistry. The thermogravimetric analysis revealed that the thermal property of the poly(HEMA‐co‐MMA) copolymer was significantly improved by the inclusion of POSS in the copolymer matrix. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Polyaniline, poly(aniline‐co‐4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone), and poly(4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone) were synthesized by ammonium peroxydisulfate oxidation and characterized by a number of techniques, including infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy, 1H‐NMR, thermogravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. These copolymers had enhanced solubility in common organic solvents in comparison with polyaniline. The conductivities of the HCl‐doped polymers ranged from 1 S cm?1 for polyaniline to 10?8 S cm?1 for poly(4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone). The copolymer compositions showed that block copolymers of 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone (r1 > 1) and aniline (r2 < 1) formed and that the reactivity of 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylsulfone was greater than that of aniline. The results were explained by the effect of the ? SO2? group present in the polymer structure. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 90: 2337–2347, 2003  相似文献

The polymer electrolytes based on poly(vinylidene-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-co-HFP) have been widely studied and applied in devices for its excellent electrochemical and mechanical properties. Here, porous PVDF-co-HFP membrane modified with glass fibers (GFs) and polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) were fabricated by phase-transfer method. When the dosage of GFs exceeded 1 wt%, the composite membranes exhibited 6.11 MPa tensile strength. When the dosage of GFs and PVP reached 1% (PVP1GF1), respectively, the composite membranes in porous network structure possessed the highest electrolyte uptake of 251.02%, the thermal stability of 343°C and the ionic conductivity of 3.05 × 10−3 S cm−1. Electrochromic device (ECD) was assembled with PVP1GF1 electrolyte, showing quick responses between the bleached and the color states within 3 s. The PVDF-co-HFP composite electrolyte was expected to be effective substitutes for liquid electrolytes used in ECDs.  相似文献

Poly (vinylidene fluoride‐co‐hexafluoropropylene) P(VDF‐co‐HFP) is an excellent material for polymer electrolytes of lithium ion battery. To enhance the lithium ion transference number, some metal oxides were often embedded into P(VDF‐co‐HFP). The promising mechanism for the increase in lithium ionic conductivity was Lewis acid‐base theory. In this experiment, the Lewis acid–base properties of P(VDF‐co‐HFP) were measured by inverse gas chromatography (IGC). The Lewis acid constant Ka of P(VDF‐co‐HFP) is 0.254, and the base constant Kb is 1.199. Compared with other polymers characterized by IGC, P(VDF‐co‐HFP) is the strongest Lewis basic polymers. Except aluminum ion, lithium ion is the strongest Lewis acidic ion according to their η value of Lewis acids. Therefore, a strong Lewis acid–base interaction will exist between lithium ion and P(VDF‐co‐HFP). This will restrict the transference of lithium ion in P(VDF‐co‐HFP). To enhance the lithium ion transference by blending other metal ions into P(VDF‐co‐HFP), it is suggested that the preferential ions should be Al3+, Mg2+, Na+, and Ca2+ because these metal ions have relative large η values. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The attachment of anticancer agents to polymers is a promising approach towards reducing the toxic side‐effects and retaining the potent antitumour activity of these agents. A new tetrahydrophthalimido monomer containing 5‐fluorouracil (ETPFU) and its homopolymer and copolymers with acrylic acid (AA) and with vinyl acetate (VAc) have been synthesized and spectroscopically characterized. The ETPFU contents in poly(ETPFU‐co‐AA) and poly(ETPFU‐co‐VAc) obtained by elemental analysis were 21 mol% and 20 mol%, respectively. The average molecular weights of the polymers determined by gel permeation chromatography were as follows: Mn = 8900 g mol?1, Mw = 13 300 g mol?1, Mw/Mn = 1.5 for poly(ETPFU); Mn = 13 500 g mol?1, Mw = 16 600 g mol?1, Mw/Mn = 1.2 for poly(ETPFU‐co‐AA); Mn = 8300 g mol?1, Mw = 11 600 g mol?1, Mw/Mn = 1.4 poly(ETPFU‐co‐VAc). The in vitro cytotoxicity of the compounds against FM3A and U937 cancer cell lines increased in the following order: ETPFU > 5‐FU > poly(ETPFU) > poly(ETPFU‐co‐AA) > poly(ETPFU‐co‐VAc). The in vivo antitumour activities of all the polymers in Balb/C mice bearing the sarcoma 180 tumour cell line were greater than those of 5‐FU and monomer at the highest dose (800 mg kg?1). © 2002 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

A new type of dual-phase polymer electrolyte (DPE) film was prepared by mechanical mixing of a poly(epichlorohydrin-co-oxirane) (ECO) and poly(acrylonitrile-co-butadiene) rubber (NBR) binary solution and then by solution casting. Both of the polymers are commercially available. The casting films were swollen with a LiClO4/propylene carbonate (PC) solution to obtain DPE films. The ionic conductivity of the DPE films was calculated on the basis of alternating current impedance measurements. The results showed that the ionic conductivity is dependent on the content of the LiClO4/PC solution and the ECO/NBR blend ratio. High ionic conductivity (>10−3 S/cm at 298 K) was achieved when the ECO content in the matrix is 90% (w/w), the contentration of LiClO4/PC solution is at 3 mol/L, and the weight percent of LiClO4/PC is 40. The impedance spectrum provided evidence that a dual-phase structure was created, in which the ECO phase provided an ion-conductive pathway and the NBR phase acted as a supportive matrix. A new ionic conductivity mechanism was proposed. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Sci. 70: 353–357, 1998  相似文献

A new blue fluorescent monomer, 9,10‐di(1‐naphthalenyl)‐2‐vinylanthracene, was designed and synthesized in good yield. Its homopolymer poly(9,10‐di(1‐naphthalenyl)‐2‐vinylanthracene) (P(ADN)) and soluble conductive vinyl copolymers poly[(9,10‐di(1‐naphthalenyl)‐2‐vinylanthracene)‐co‐styrene] (P(ADN‐co‐S)) and poly[(9,10‐di(1‐naphthalenyl)‐2‐vinylanthracene)‐co‐(9‐vinylcarbazole)] (P(ADN‐co‐VK)) were synthesized using free radical solution polymerization. All the polymers showed high glass transition mid‐point temperatures (203 to 237 °C) and good thermal stabilities. The photoluminescence emission of the copolymers was similar to that of P(ADN) (with two maxima at 423 and 442 nm). The lifetimes of P(ADN‐co‐S) (6.82 to 7.91 ns) were all slightly less than that of P(ADN) (8.40 ns). The lifetime of P(ADN‐co‐VK) increased from 7.8 to 8.8 ns with an increase in VK content. The fluorescence quantum yields of P(ADN‐co‐S) showed an overall increasing tendency from 0.42 to 0.58. The quantum efficiencies of P(ADN‐co‐VK) decreased from 0.36 to 0.19 with an increase of VK fraction. With increasing S/VK content, the highest occupied molecular orbital of P(ADN‐co‐S)/P(ADN‐co‐VK) ranged from ?5.58 to ?5.73 eV, which was similar to that of P(ADN) (?5.71 eV). The band gaps of P(ADN‐co‐S) and P(ADN‐co‐VK) were about 2.97 eV, which were equal to that of P(ADN), and smaller than that of 2‐methyl‐9,10‐di(1‐naphthalenyl)anthracene (MADN) (3.04 eV) and poly(9‐vinylcarbazole) (3.54 eV). Preliminary electroluminescence results were obtained for a homojunction device with the configuration ITO/MoO3 (20 nm)/P(ADN)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (100 nm), which achieved only 30–50 cd m?2, due to P(ADN) having a low mobility of 4.7 × 10?8 cm2 V?1 s?1 compared to that of its model compound MADN of 6.5 × 10?4 cm2 V?1 s?1. © 2013 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

New type of composite membranes were synthesized by crosslinking of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) with sulfosuccinic acid (SSA) and intercalating poly(1‐vinyl‐1,2,4‐triazole) (PVTri) into the resulting matrix. The complexed structure of the membranes was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The resulting hybrid membranes were transparent, flexible, and showed good thermal stability up to ~200°C. The proton conductivities of the membranes were investigated as a function of PVTri and SSA and operating temperature. The water/methanol uptake was measured and the results showed that solvent absorption of the materials increased with increasing PVTri content in the matrix. The proton conductivity of the membranes continuously increased with increasing SO3H content, PVTri content, and the temperature. In the anhydrous state, the maximum proton conductivity is 7.7 × 10?5 S/cm for PVA–SSA–PVTri‐1 and for PVA–SSA–PVTri‐3 is 1.6 × 10?5 S/cm at 150°C. After humidification (RH = 100%), PVA–SSA–PVTri‐4 showed a maximum proton conductivity of 0.0028 S/cm at 60°C. POLYM. ENG. SCI., 2013. © 2012 Society of Plastics Engineers  相似文献
