A novel method employing a unique combination of wavelet based local singularity analysis and support vector machines (SVM) classification is described and illustrated by considering the case example of flow regime identification in gas-liquid stirred tank equipped with Rushton turbine. Pressure fluctuations time series data obtained at different operating conditions were first analyzed to obtain the distribution of local Hölder exponents’ estimates. The relevant features from this distribution were then used as input data to the SVM classifier. Employing this method we could classify flow regimes with 98% accuracy. The results highlight the fact that the local scaling behavior of a given regime follows a distinct pattern. Further, the singularity features can be employed by intelligent machine learning based algorithms like SVM for successful online regime identification. The method can be readily applied to the other multiphase systems like bubble column, fluidized bed, etc. 相似文献

在物料进入涡流空气分级机前采用了气流预分散装置,使物料悬浮分散并输送到分级机中。以滑石粉和石灰石粉料为原料进行分级实验,研究不同条件下气流预分散对分级性能的影响。采用激光多普勒测速仪对分级机内环形区流场进行速度测定,分析预分散气流对流场的影响。结果表明,当预分散气速大于1.1 m/s时,细粉产率、牛顿分级效率和切割粒径随预分散气速的增大而增加;在不同的系统进口风速条件下,物料预分散后,细粉产率、牛顿分级效率增加;平均粒径小的石灰石粉料其中含有的超细颗粒(<4μm)不易实现气流预分散,预分散气流可以明显地减小对分级不利的轴向速度。 相似文献

A characterisation of three commonly used impellers was made in this study by measuring local mean velocities and the fluctuations of these velocities with the LDV technique. The data was used to estimate volumetric flow, velocity fluctuations and turbulent intensity in the impeller region of the tank. The impellers investigated were a high flow impeller, a pitched blade turbine and a Rushton turbine. The cylindrical vessel used was made of Perspex, had a dished bottom (DIN 28013), was equipped with four baffles and had an inner diameter of 0.45 m. It was found that the bulk velocities could be scaled with the tip-speed of the impeller (ND). The flow rate at constant impeller speed increased in the order high flow impeller — Rushton turbine — pitched blade turbine. The corresponding order for the turbulence fluctuation is: high flow impeller — pitched blade turbine — Rushton turbine. The velocity profile of the flow out from the high flow impeller was furthermore, not as smooth as could be expected. 相似文献

Conclusions The use of the pneumatic classifiers described will intensify the separation of refractory materials into the finer grains, increase the efficiency of the classification relative to that achieved with centrifugal separators, and simultaneously improve the extraction yield without reducing the quality of the products.Using the proposed classifier it is possible to obtain several products of different size, which will make it possible to synthesize rational grain-size compositions in refractory bodies.
