This work is concerned with the identification of models for nonlinear dynamical systems using multiobjective evolutionary algorithms. Systems modelling involves the processes of structure selection, parameter estimation, model performance and model validation and involves a complex solution space. Evolutionary Algorithms (EAs) are search and optimisation tools founded on the principles of natural evolution and genetics, which are suitable for a wide range of application areas. Due to the versatility of these tools and motivated by the versatility of genetic programming (GP), this evolutionary paradigm is proposed for this modelling problem. GP is then combined with a multiobjective function definition scheme. Multiobjective genetic programming (MOGP) is applied to multiple, conflicting objectives and yields a set of candidate parsimonious and valid models, which reproduce the original system behaviour. The MOGP approach is then demonstrated as being applicable for system modelling with chaotic dynamics. The circuit introduced by Chua, being one of the most popular benchmarks for studying nonlinear oscillations, and the Duffing–Holmes oscillator are the systems to test the evolutionary-based modelling approach introduced in this paper.  相似文献

Recently, the development of industrial processes brought on the outbreak of technologically complex systems. This development generated the necessity of research relative to the mathematical techniques that have the capacity to deal with project complexities and validation. Fuzzy models have been receiving particular attention in the area of nonlinear systems identification and analysis due to it is capacity to approximate nonlinear behavior and deal with uncertainty. A fuzzy rule-based model suitable for the approximation of many systems and functions is the Takagi–Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model. TS fuzzy models are nonlinear systems described by a set of if then rules which gives local linear representations of an underlying system. Such models can approximate a wide class of nonlinear systems. In this paper a performance analysis of a system based on TS fuzzy inference system for the calibration of electronic compass devices is considered. The contribution of the evaluated TS fuzzy inference system is to reduce the error obtained in data acquisition from a digital electronic compass. For the reliable operation of the TS fuzzy inference system, adequate error measurements must be taken. The error noise must be filtered before the application of the TS fuzzy inference system. The proposed method demonstrated an effectiveness of 57% at reducing the total error based on considered tests.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel fuzzy Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) is proposed for discrete-time nonlinear systems via Takagi-Sugeno system based Kernel Ridge Regression (TS-KRR). The TS-KRR strategy approximates the unknown nonlinear systems by learning the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy parameters from the input-output data. Two main steps are required to construct the TS-KRR: the first step is to use a clustering algorithm such as the clustering based Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm that separates the input data into clusters and obtains the antecedent TS fuzzy model parameters. In the second step, the consequent TS fuzzy parameters are obtained using a Kernel ridge regression algorithm. Furthermore, the TS based predictive control is created by integrating the TS-KRR into the Generalized Predictive Controller. Next, an adaptive, online, version of TS-KRR is proposed and integrated with the GPC controller resulting an efficient adaptive fuzzy generalized predictive control methodology that can deal with most of the industrial plants and has the ability to deal with disturbances and variations of the model parameters. In the adaptive TS-KRR algorithm, the antecedent parameters are initialized with a simple K-means algorithm and updated using a simple gradient algorithm. Then, the consequent parameters are obtained using the sliding-window Kernel Recursive Least squares (KRLS) algorithm. Finally, two nonlinear systems: A surge tank and Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) systems were used to investigate the performance of the new adaptive TS-KRR GPC controller. Furthermore, the results obtained by the adaptive TS-KRR GPC controller were compared with two other controllers. The numerical results demonstrate the reliability of the proposed adaptive TS-KRR GPC method for discrete-time nonlinear systems.  相似文献

This study introduces a fuzzy control design method for nonlinear systems with a guaranteed H model reference tracking performance. First, the Takagi and Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is employed to represent a nonlinear system. Next, based on the fuzzy model, a fuzzy observer-based fuzzy controller is developed to reduce the tracking error as small as possible for all bounded reference inputs. The advantage of proposed tracking control design is that only a simple fuzzy controller is used in our approach without feedback linearization technique and complicated adaptive scheme. By the proposed method, the fuzzy tracking control design problem is parameterized in terms of a linear matrix inequality problem (LMIP). The LMIP can be solved very efficiently using the convex optimization techniques. Simulation example is given to illustrate the design procedures and tracking performance of the proposed method  相似文献

A general nonlinear model with six degree-of-freedom rotor dynamics and electromagnetic force equations for conical magnetic bearings is developed. For simplicity, a T–S (Takagi–Sugeno) fuzzy model for the nonlinear magnetic bearings assumed no rotor eccentricity is first derived, and a fuzzy control design based on the T–S fuzzy model is then proposed for the high speed and high accuracy control of the complex magnetic bearing systems. The suggested fuzzy control design approach for nonlinear magnetic bearings can be cast into a linear matrix inequality (LMI) problem via robust performance analysis, and the LMI problem can be solved efficiently using the convex optimization techniques. Computer simulations are presented for illustrating the performance of the control strategy considering simultaneous rotor rotation tracking and gap deviations regulation.  相似文献

Inspired by the phenomenon of symbiosis in natural ecosystems a multi-swarm cooperative particle swarm optimizer (MCPSO) is proposed as a new fuzzy modeling strategy for identification and control of non-linear dynamical systems. In MCPSO, the population consists of one master swarm and several slave swarms. The slave swarms execute particle swarm optimization (PSO) or its variants independently to maintain the diversity of particles, while the particles in the master swarm enhance themselves based on their own knowledge and also the knowledge of the particles in the slave swarms. With four benchmark functions, MCPSO is proved to have better performance than PSO and its variants. MCPSO is then used to automatically design the fuzzy identifier and fuzzy controller for non-linear dynamical systems. The proposed algorithm (MCPSO) is shown to outperform PSO and some other methods in identifying and controlling dynamical systems.  相似文献

Clustering is a popular data analysis and data mining technique. A popular technique for clustering is based on k-means such that the data is partitioned into K clusters. However, the k-means algorithm highly depends on the initial state and converges to local optimum solution. This paper presents a new hybrid evolutionary algorithm to solve nonlinear partitional clustering problem. The proposed hybrid evolutionary algorithm is the combination of FAPSO (fuzzy adaptive particle swarm optimization), ACO (ant colony optimization) and k-means algorithms, called FAPSO-ACO–K, which can find better cluster partition. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated through several benchmark data sets. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is better than other algorithms such as PSO, ACO, simulated annealing (SA), combination of PSO and SA (PSO–SA), combination of ACO and SA (ACO–SA), combination of PSO and ACO (PSO–ACO), genetic algorithm (GA), Tabu search (TS), honey bee mating optimization (HBMO) and k-means for partitional clustering problem.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this article, fuzzy modeling systems are automatically developed by Hierarchical Recursive-Based Particle Swarm Optimization (HRPSO). HRPSO, which contains Fuzzy C-Mean (FCM) clustering, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and recursive least-squares technology, self constructs adjustable parameters for approximating a nonlinear function and a discrete dynamic system. In general, the heuristic PSO is an evolutional computing technology when solving complex and global problems. However, the necessary training time is unsuitable for large population sizes and many adjustable parameters. To quickly approximate the actual output of nonlinear functions, the input-output training data is initially clustered by an FCM algorithm. From there favorable features are extracted from the training data and some fuzzy structures with fewer adjustable parameters will be collected as the initial population of the PSO. The FCM procedure is used to directly extract necessary small populations of PSO from training samples. After that, the recursive-based PSO is proposed to tune some adjustable parameters to quickly construct the desired fuzzy modeling system. Therefore, the proposed HRPSO determines fuzzy modeling systems with a small number of fuzzy rules to approach high accuracy within a short training time. Simulation results demonstrate the efficiency of our fuzzy model systems to solve two nonlinear problems.  相似文献

We develop a hybrid state-space fuzzy model-based controller with dual-rate sampling for digital control of chaotic systems. A Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is used to model the chaotic dynamic system and the extended parallel-distributed compensation technique is proposed and formulated for designing the fuzzy model-based controller under stability conditions. The optimal regional-pole assignment technique is also adopted in the design of the local feedback controllers for the multiple TS linear state-space models. The proposed design procedure is as follows: an equivalent fast-rate discrete-time state-space model of the continuous-time system is first constructed by using fuzzy inference systems. To obtain the continuous-time optimal state-feedback gains, the constructed discrete-time fuzzy system is then converted into a continuous-time system. The developed optimal continuous-time control law is finally converted into an equivalent slow-rate digital control law using the proposed intelligent digital redesign method. The main contribution of the paper is the development of a systematic and effective framework for fuzzy model-based controller design with dual-rate sampling for digital control of complex such as chaotic systems. The effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed controller design method is demonstrated through numerical simulations on the chaotic Chua circuit  相似文献

Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy models (1985, 1992) can provide an effective representation of complex nonlinear systems in terms of fuzzy sets and fuzzy reasoning applied to a set of linear input/output (I/O) submodels. In this paper, the TS fuzzy model approach is extended to the stability analysis and control design for both continuous and discrete-time nonlinear systems with time delay. The TS fuzzy models with time delay are presented and the stability conditions are derived using Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach. We also present a stabilization approach for nonlinear time-delay systems through fuzzy state feedback and fuzzy observer-based controller. Sufficient conditions for the existence of fuzzy state feedback gain and fuzzy observer gain are derived through the numerical solution of a set of coupled linear matrix inequalities. An illustrative example based on the CSTR model is given to design a fuzzy controller  相似文献

This paper investigates the stability analysis and performance design of nonlinear systems. To facilitate the stability analysis, the Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model is employed to represent the nonlinear plant. Under the imperfect premise matching in which T–S fuzzy model and fuzzy controller do not share the same membership functions, a fuzzy controller with enhanced design flexibility and robustness property is proposed to control the nonlinear plant. However, the nice characteristic given by the perfect premise matching, leading to conservative stability conditions, vanishes. In this paper, under the imperfect premise matching, information of membership functions of the fuzzy model and controller are considered in stability analysis. With the introduction of slack matrices, relaxed linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based stability conditions are derived using Lyapunov-based approach. Furthermore, LMI-based performance conditions are provided to guarantee system performance. Simulation examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.   相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new online identification approach for evolving Takagi–Sugeno (TS) fuzzy models. Here, for a TS model, a certain number of models as neighboring models are defined and then the TS model switches to one of them at each stage of evolving. We define neighboring models for an in-progress (current) TS model as its fairly evolved versions, which are different with it just in two fuzzy rules. To generate neighboring models for the current model, we apply specially designed split and merge operations. By each split operation, a fuzzy rule is replaced with two rules; while by each merge operation, two fuzzy rules combine to one rule. Among neighboring models, the one with the minimum sum of squared errors – on certain time intervals – replaces the current model. To reduce the computational load of the proposed evolving TS model, straightforward relations between outputs of neighboring models and that of current model are established. Also, to reduce the number of rules, we define and use first-order TS fuzzy models whose generated local linear models can be localized in flexible fuzzy subspaces. To demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed identification approach, the efficiency of the evolving TS model is studied in prediction of monthly sunspot number and forecast of daily electrical power consumption. The prediction and modeling results are compared with that of some important existing evolving fuzzy systems.  相似文献

The turning points prediction scheme for future time series analysis based on past and present information is widely employed in the field of financial applications. In this research, a novel approach to identify turning points of the trading signal using a fuzzy rule-based model is presented. The Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy rule-based model (the TS model) can accurately identify daily stock trading from sets of technical indicators according to the trading signals learned by a support vector regression (SVR) technique. In addition, when new trading points are created, the structure and parameters of the TS model are constantly inherited and updated. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed TS fuzzy rule-based modeling approach, we have acquired the stock trading data in the US stock market. The TS fuzzy approach with dynamic threshold control is compared with a conventional linear regression model and artificial neural networks. Our result indicates that the TS fuzzy model not only yields more profit than other approaches but also enables stable dynamic identification of the complexities of the stock forecasting system.  相似文献

A new design scheme of stable adaptive fuzzy control for a class of nonlinear systems is proposed in this paper. The T-S fuzzy model is employed to represent the systems. First, the concept of the so-called parallel distributed compensation (PDC) and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach are employed to design the state feedback controller without considering the error caused by fuzzy modeling. Sufficient conditions with respect to decay rate α are derived in the sense of Lyapunov asymptotic stability. Finally, the error caused by fuzzy modeling is considered and the input-tostate stable (ISS) method is used to design the adaptive compensation term to reduce the effect of the modeling error. By the small-gain theorem, the resulting closed-loop system is proved to be input-to-state stable. Theoretical analysis verifies that the state converges to zero and all signals of the closed-loop systems are bounded. The effectiveness of the proposed controller design methodology is demonstrated through numerical simulation on the chaotic Henon system.  相似文献

Hierarchical fuzzy modeling techniques have great advantage since model accuracy and complexity can be easily controlled thanks to the transparent model structures. A novel tool for regression tree identification is proposed based on the synergistic combination of fuzzy c-regression clustering and the concept of hierarchical modeling. In a special case (c = 2), fuzzy c-regression clustering can be used for identification of hinging hyperplane models. The proposed method recursively identifies a hinging hyperplane model that contains two linear submodels by partitioning operating region of one local linear model resulting a binary regression tree. Novel measures of model performance and complexity are developed to support the analysis and building of the proposed special model structure. Effectiveness of proposed model is demonstrated by benchmark regression datasets. Examples also demonstrate that the proposed model can effectively represent nonlinear dynamical systems. Thanks to the piecewise linear model structure the resulted regression tree can be easily utilized in model predictive control. A detailed application example related to the model predictive control of a water heater demonstrate that the proposed framework can be effectively used in modeling and control of dynamical systems.  相似文献
