基于 Web 页面的计算门户提供了简单易用的用户使用界面,这些门户需要访问异构的计算机群。本文研究和实现基于 REST 风格的科学计算环境 Web 服务 API (SCEAPI-REST),其核心思想是充分利用 Web 服务在复杂系统中的集成优势以及 REST 风格的 API 跨平台和跨编程语言的特性,为开发者提供简单易用的计算机群开发接口,包括用户管理、资源查询、作业管理和文件传输等功能。基于 SCEAPI-REST,开发人员不再需要解决机群访问的繁杂问题,只需要专心构建面向科学计算的终端软件。该 API 已经应用到计算化学、材料科学、生物信息等多个领域的专业社区和工具软件。  相似文献

为了解决学校现有财务系统间的交互不足、跨部门间的数据孤岛问题,提出基于一门式服务体系的"互联网+财务管理"系统的构建方案.以数据融合、业务融合为核心,借助互联网、区块链信息技术集网上报销系统、网上审批系统、科研申报系统、查询系统等信息系统,搭建财务网上服务大厅,畅通业务流程.实践效果及分析显示财务网上服务大厅的推广及应用解决了师生报销难、办事难等问题,打通了部门间的数据壁垒,提高了办事效率和服务质量,实现了多元化全方位创新服务,为高校财务信息化建设提供参考.  相似文献

Many senior portals are expected to appear as the elderly population and the number of aged Internet users continues to increase. This study defines a senior portal as an Internet portal that is specific to seniors. The purpose of the study is to investigate what kind of content of senior portals is preferred by prospective users of senior portals, and to analyze the preference for contents. The study administered a survey to prospective senior portal users over 50 years of age who are residing in two large cities in Korea. This study found that content preferences vary according to the individual characteristics of prospective users. The findings of this study could help organizations to explore business opportunities, develop business models, and formulate business strategies that can differentiate them from their competitors.  相似文献

This article presents the results of a survey that shows that older users differ in their attitude and experience towards the Internet not only according to their age or to their previous knowledge with Internet services, but also according to what they are expecting from this media. The aim of this study was to collect information about barriers on usage and perception of an online ticketing service for a nationwide public railway company, in order to enhance the notion of “accessibility” toward a broader understanding including non-technical accessibility factors as semantic accessibility and/or procedural accessibility. The results of the survey with 1,208 participants and additionally focus groups, interviews and qualitative analysis of user feedback indicate that in order to improve and optimize the usage of the online system for older adults, it is necessary to develop a system which is not only universally accessible, but also satisfies the specific expectations of senior users. This article concentrates on designing accessible user experiences and presents several recommendations to the area and for WCAG 2.0 according to the results.  相似文献

This paper reports the findings from a two-year pilot project called Care OnLine (COL). The COL project has introduced computers and the Internet into the homes of 50 elderly and vulnerable volunteers and provided shared Internet access at five shared schemes housing older people across the Market Harbrorough district of Leicestershire. A specific web portal was designed that was geared towards older and vulnerable people and provided information about the different services available to them, as well as links to a variety of websites. All the volunteers were provided with training in using computers and the Internet, and were interviewed regarding their experiences. Findings related to their attitudes towards, and experiences of, computers and the Internet are reported. The impact of having access to computers and the Internet on the volunteers lives and some lessons learnt from providing such a scheme are also discussed.  相似文献

The information revolution is bringing people of different backgrounds from around the world into a global information superhighway. The Internet provides a global platform connecting thousands of networks around the world. There is a variety of information available on the Internet for the users. It has been considered as a forum for users to share worldwide information resources. The resources are so vast that many of us really cannot grasp or understand the Internet fully. It has become a ‘global information library’ which allows the users to participate in the group discussion, search for any information, start any discussion with others and so on. It can be considered as a hybrid environment of postal services, citizen's band radio, libraries and neighborhood community centers where we (‘we’ is mainly used in this paper in its generic form) can spend time with our friends (‘our’ is also mainly used generically). Internet users (Internauts) share jokes, gossip in on-line conferences and join special groups to keep abreast of their specific interests. The main objective of this tutorial is to discuss various services on the Internet, their implementations, various Internet tools, and interconnection to the Internet. Other important issues like the Internet addressing, domain name system, IP addressing, etc. are discussed in detail in order to understand some design concepts. A brief list of the different types of browsers for different platforms is given. A discussion on future of the Internet is given via different advances and tools defined to provide security, interconnectivity and other related issues.  相似文献

In the field of “U-Healthcare Service”, many studies have been actively conducted to develop “smart device”-based healthcare applications that enable healthcare providers and patients to be better served through interoperations among various kinds of sensors and wireless network interfaces. In particular, contemporary intelligent healthcare services not only recognize users’ context information through smart devices, computers, and so forth, but also acquire information from heterogeneous sensors to achieve context-aware inference services. Among such information, the weather information is tightly related to diseases such as asthma and allergies. Therefore, there is a high demand for research to utilize the weather information for healthcare services. In this paper, we propose a context inference-based intelligent healthcare service that exploits both the weather conditions information and the diverse healthcare ontologies available on the Internet. The proposed service aims at modeling a context ontology in users’ healthcare service environment and defining the inference rules, thereby accomplishing a satisfactory real-time healthcare service.  相似文献

An Internet portal provides not only a linkage to Web sites but also an entry point to information services. To be successful, it needs to attract a large volume of visitors and consistently deliver a high level of service quality. However, we believe that the service quality of Internet portals, differentiated into business and general portals, should be measured by different instruments, as they are used for different purposes. We conducted two studies employing exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to identify an instrument to measure the service quality of general portals. The results indicated that the instrument is a four-factor model that includes adequacy of information, appearance, usability, and privacy and security. However, only the first two factors are significantly associated with customer satisfaction. Also, it was noted that Web page appearance was not significant for business portals but was for general portals.  相似文献

A zoomable user interface (ZUI) is a useful function to help users deal with large information spaces displayed within a screen. Although used in many applications, ZUIs have not been sufficiently studied in terms of usability. Usability problems may be more crucial for older people than younger ones. The objective of this study is to examine the effects of a combination of two zoom factors (three zoom focus methods: original-center, re-center, and aiming-point; and two zoom scales: +100% and +400%) for two age groups (younger and older adults) on mouse-based information searching tasks in a map-type two-dimensional information space. Twenty four volunteers (twelve users per age group) participated in the experiments by answering a pair of questions about fifty movie information topics. Task completion time, number of operations, and number of errors were selected as performance measures, and a subjective assessment of satisfaction was collected. Older adults used the tested ZUIs less efficiently and precisely than younger adults. The effects of zoom focus methods vary with zoom scale levels regardless of the age groups. The participants also preferred using the aiming-point focus regardless of zoom scale and using the re-center focus with the +400% scale. We discuss potential implications of the age-related performance differences and the effects of ZUI functions, and suggest some ZUI design guidelines in conclusion. We expect that the findings can be used as basic resources in designing various web services and applications for older computer users.

Relevance to industry

Given that a zoomable user interface is widely used in basic geographic information systems, web services, and various applications, using a selective-focus method such as the aiming-point focus can improve computer users’ usability; in particular, the zooming functions will greatly help older people to explore large information spaces quickly and easily.  相似文献

One of the new applications evolving in the Internet is streaming audio/video. A major reason for its growing popularity is interest in the compelling new services that become possible. Prototype services are being developed which are new to the Internet but offer the same look, feel, and functionality that have traditionally only been found in services delivered via other communication medium, e.g. broadcast television. In addition, the Internet is evolving to offer ‘value‐added’ services, like streaming audio/video with VCR‐style interactivity and embedded hyperlinks. We are poised both on seeing the development of new paradigms for interacting with audio/video, and on seeing the merging of broadcast television and Internet‐based broadcasts. Before this process can be considered successful, a number of technical challenges, derived from the various ways in which content is physically delivered, must be solved. In this paper, we focus on the value‐added service of VCR interactivity. VCR interactivity has long been a challenge for both broadcast television and streamed Internet audio/video. The challenge is how to provide individualized playout for content being streamed to a large group of users using one‐to‐many delivery. While some new companies are starting to offer devices which provide this kind of service for broadcast television, there are still numerous technical challenges for the Internet‐based version of a similar service. This paper has a three‐fold objective. First, we describe the types of services available in the traditional broadcast infrastructure and compare these to the types of services that are deployed or possible in Internet‐based services. Second, we describe our attempts to implement some of the more challenging and novel service types. In particular, we examine client‐based control of programs streamed over the Internet to tens, thousands, or even millions of users. Finally, we discuss the impact of these services on the protocols and applications used to support Internet‐based, multi‐party conferencing. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Recent research suggests that older Internet users seem to find it more difficult to locate navigation links than to find information content in web pages. One possibility is that older Internet users’ visual exploration of web pages is more linear in nature, even when this type of processing is not appropriate for the task. In the current study, the eye movements of young and older Internet users were recorded using an ecological version of the web pages or a discursive version designed to induce a linear exploration. The older adults found more targets when performing content-oriented compared to navigation-oriented searches, thus replicating previous results. Moreover, they performed less well than young people only when required to locate navigation links and tended to outperform the younger participants in content-oriented searches. Although the type of search task and type of web page resulted in different visual strategies, little or no support was found for the hypothesis that older participants explore web pages in a more linear way in cases where this strategy was not appropriate. The main conclusion is that differences in visual exploration do not seem to mediate the specific difficulty older adults experience in navigation-oriented searches in web pages.  相似文献
