本文用原位反应法制备了不同TiC和TiB增强相含量的(TiC+TiB)/Ti6Al4V复合材料(简记为TMC),用HT-1000型摩擦磨损试验机研究了外加载荷对原位本文用原位反应法制备了不同TiC和TiB增强相含量的(TiC+TiB)/Ti6Al4V复合材料(简记为TMC),用HT-1000型摩擦磨损试验机研究了外加载荷对原位(TiC+TiB)/Ti6Al4V复合材料干滑动摩擦磨损性能的影响,并利用扫描电镜及布鲁克三维形貌仪观察分析其磨损行为。结果显示,与Ti6Al4V基体相比,TiC+TiB增强相的生成提高了复合材料的耐磨性。对于含不同体积分数增强相的复合材料,随着外加载荷的增加,材料的磨损率和磨损深度增加,摩擦系数减小且在小范围内波动。在小负载下,磨损的表面覆盖有一些沟槽和少量磨屑;在大负载下,磨损的表面覆盖有一些浅沟槽和大量磨屑。磨损机制为磨粒磨损和氧化磨损。随着负荷增加,碎屑的尺寸增加,磨损加剧。  相似文献

Present work encapsulated the friction and wear behaviour of aluminium matrix composites reinforced with different mass fractions of titanium diboride (TiB2) particles, synthesized by stir casting. A pin on disc tribotester was employed for conducting the dry sliding wear tests of Al2024-TiB2 composites. The tests were performed adopting various parameters like load, sliding distance and sliding velocity for investigating the effect of tribological parameters on the prepared composites. Microstructural characterization confirmed uniform dispersion of TiB2 particles and good matrix-reinforcement bonding. Results of the experiments revealed that, low friction and wear rates were observed in the developed composites compared to Al2024 alloy, whereas wear rates of both Al2024 alloy and fabricated composites increased with the increase in load, sliding velocity and sliding distance. However, friction coefficient of both Al2024 alloy and fabricated composites reduced with the increase in applied load but rose with the increase in sliding velocity and sliding distance. SEM studies of the worn surfaces and debris depicted that enhancement in wear resistance can be ascribed to finer debris formation.  相似文献

利用激光熔覆技术在1Cr18Ni9Ti奥氏体不锈钢表面制得了以TiC为增强相、以FeAl 金属间化合物为基体的耐磨复合材料涂层,研究了激光熔覆。FiC/FeAl复合材料涂层在干滑动磨损条件下的耐磨性能及磨损机制。结果表明:随着载荷和滑动速率的增加,TiC/FeAl金属间化合物基复合材料涂层的磨损速率增加,其磨损机制随着载荷的增加逐渐由磨料磨损向粘着磨损转变;激光熔覆层中TiC体积分数的增加,一方面提高了涂层的磨料磨损抗力,另一方面降低了熔覆层表面与对磨材料之间的粘着倾向,提高了TiC/FeAl涂层的滑动磨损性能。激光熔覆TiC/FeAl金属间化合物基复合材料涂层具有优异的耐磨性能并随TiC体积分数的增加而提高。  相似文献

To improve the wear resistance of Al-Si alloys, different types of reinforcing particles such as SiC, TiC, ZrO2, and B4C were used to produce matrix composites by friction stir processing (FSP). First, microstructural properties of different locations of stir zone (SZ) in the FSPed specimens such as advancing side, retreating side, shoulder-affected area, and pin-affected area were investigated. The results demonstrate that Si particles size is not the same in different SZ subdomains. SEM investigation was performed in order to investigate the particles distribution in different areas of the SZ as well as bonding quality between particles and metal matrix. Hardness and wear tests were carried out to determine mechanical and wear properties of the composites. The pin-on-disk wear tests were performed at room temperature, with the normal applied loads of 5, 10, and 20 N and sliding speed of 1 and 2 m/s. All fabricated composites show higher resistance in wear than A356 alloy. Wear test results show, by increasing the normal load and sliding velocity, the wear loss weight of all composites increased gradually.  相似文献

The effects of MoS2 content on microstructure, density, hardness and wear resistance of pure copper were studied. Copper-based composites containing 0–10% (mass fraction) MoS2 particles were fabricated by mechanical milling and hot pressing from pure copper and MoS2 powders. Wear resistance was evaluated in dry sliding condition using a pin on disk configuration at a constant sliding speed of 0.2 m/s. Hardness measurements showed a critical MoS2 content of 2.5% at which a hardness peak was attained. Regardless of the applied normal load, the lowest coefficient of friction and wear loss were attained for Cu/2.5MoS2 composite. While coefficient of friction decreased when the applied normal load was raised from 1 to 4 N at any reinforcement content, the wear volume increased with increasing normal load. SEM micrographs from the worn surfaces and debris revealed that the wear mechanism was changed from mainly adhesion in pure copper to a combination of abrasion and delamination in Cu/MoS2 composites.  相似文献

The dry sliding behavior of stir-cast AA6061-10 wt.% B4C composites containing 2.5, 5 and 7.5 wt.% graphite particles was studied as a function of applied load, sliding speed and sliding distance on a pin-on-disk tribotester. The wear rate and friction coefficient increased with increase in applied load and sliding distance. The increase in graphite addition reduced the increase in wear rate and friction coefficient in the sliding speed range 2-2.5 m/s. Scanning electron microscopy of the worn pin revealed a graphite tribolayer, and transmission electron microscopy revealed overlapping deformation bands under 30 N applied load. Upon increasing the applied load to 40 N, welded region with fine crystalline structure was formed due to dynamic recrystallization of AA6061 alloy matrix.  相似文献

通过采用粉末冶金和原位合成技术相结合的近净成形技术制备Al-5%Si-Al2O3复合材料,并运用M一2000摩擦磨损试验机对该复合材料的摩擦磨损性能进行研究。通过单一变量比较法分析载荷和滑动速度对Al-5%Si-Al2O3复合材料摩擦磨损性能的影响,同时对长时间连续磨损下该材料的摩擦性能进行研究。通过扫描电子显微镜对Al-5%Si-Al2O3复合材料的磨损表面进行观察,并分析其磨损机制。结果表明,随着载荷的增大,试样的磨损量和摩擦因数均增加;随着滑动速度的增大,试样表面的升温使得产生氧化层的速率增加,试样的磨损量和摩擦因数均减少。在长时间的连续磨损过程中,由于初始时发生粘着磨损,试样的摩擦因数随着滑动距离的增大而增大。然后,试样表面氧化层的形成和破坏趋于动态平衡,试样表面相对稳定,其摩擦因数也随之趋于平稳。铝基复合材料的磨损机制主要为磨粒磨损、粘着磨损和氧化磨损。  相似文献

The present investigation explores the effect of TiC content on the sliding wear properties of Cu-4 wt.% Ni matrix composites. Cu-4 wt.% Ni ? x wt.% TiC (x = 0, 2, 4 and 8 wt.%) metal matrix composites were developed by powder metallurgy route. Their friction and wear was studied under dry sliding at different loads of 5, 7.5 and 10 N and constant sliding speed of 2 m/s using a pin-on-disk machine. The metallographic observations showed an almost uniform distribution of TiC particles in the matrix. Hardness of the composites increased with increasing TiC content (up to 4 wt.%). Friction and wear results of TiC-reinforced composites show better wear resistance than unreinforced matrix alloy. However, the optimum wear resistance was observed for 4 wt.% TiC-reinforced composites. Worn surfaces of specimens indicated the abrasion as the primary mechanism of wear in all the materials investigated in the study. The observed behavior has been explained on the basis of (1) the hardness which results in a decrease in real area of contact in composites containing TiC particles and (2) the formation of a transfer layer of wear debris on the surface of the composites which protects underlying substrate by inhibiting metal-metal contact.  相似文献

运用原位合成工艺可以制备出含量为3%的微米级TiC颗粒弥散强化2Cr13不锈钢,TiC颗粒在强化钢中分布均匀,与基体结合良好。TiC颗粒的加入,使2Cr13不锈钢的室温强度提高10%左右,硬度小幅增加,但塑性有所降低。用环-块摩擦磨损试验机研究了油润滑下弥散强化钢的滑动摩擦磨损性能,发现TiC颗粒承受载荷,从而可有效地提高弥散强化钢的耐磨性。与未增强的2Cr13基体相比,弥散强化钢的摩擦系数平稳且较低,而耐磨性提高3倍以上。  相似文献

TiC reinforced Inconel 825 alloy matrix composite coating with different weight percentage (20, 40, and 60) of TiC has been produced by TIG cladding process. With the increase in TiC percentage in the produced coating a drastic alteration in the coating morphology perceived predominantly due to the degree of melting of pre-deposited TiC particles. The sliding abrasive wear measured through the height loss of the coated pin extracted from the TiC-Inconel825 composite coatings executed against alumina abrasive wheel show the effect of TiC percentage as well as the sliding velocity during the test. The worn surfaces characterized by SEM suggested that the abrasion wear is predominant for removal of the coating along with delamination through oxidation. The coefficient of friction of the coating assessed against harden steel plate (HRC58) indicated a gradual reduction from 0.71 to 0.60 with the increase in TiC content in the TiC-Inconel825 composite coating.  相似文献

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were coated by tungsten layer using metal organic chemical vapor deposition process with tungsten hexacarbonyl as a precursor. The W-coated CNTs (W-CNTs) were dispersed into Cu powders by magnetic stirring process and then the mixed powders were consolidated by spark plasma sintering to fabricate W-CNTs/Cu composites. The CNTs/Cu composites were fabricated using the simi-lar processes. The friction coefficient and mass wear loss of W-CNTs/Cu and CNTs/Cu composites were studied. The results showed that the W-CNT content, interfacial bonding situation, and applied load could influence the friction coefficient and wear loss of W-CNTs/Cu com-posites. When the W-CNT content was 1.0 wt.%, the W-CNTs/Cu composites got the minimum friction coefficient and wear loss, which were decreased by 72.1% and 47.6%, respectively, compared with pure Cu specimen. The friction coefficient and wear loss of W-CNTs/Cu composites were lower than those of CNTs/Cu composites, which was due to that the interfacial bonding at (W-CNTs)-Cu interface was bet-ter than that at CNTs-Cu interface. The friction coefficient of composites did not vary obviously with increasing applied load, while the wear loss of composites increased significantly with the increase of applied load.  相似文献

Titanium carbide-based coatings have been considered for use in sliding wear resistance applications. Carbides embedded in a metal matrix would improve wear properties, providing a noncontinuous ceramic surface. TiC-Fe coatings obtained by plasma spraying of spray-dried TiC-Fe composite powders containing large and angular TiC particles are not expected to be as resistant as those containing TiC particles formed upon spraying. Coatings containing 60 vol% TiC dispersed in a steel matrix deposited by plasma spraying reactive micropellets, sintered reactive micropellets, and spray-dried TiC-Fe composite powders are compared. The sliding wear resistance of these coatings against steel was measured following the test procedure recommended by the Versailles Advanced Materials and Standards (VAMAS) program, and the inherent surface porosity was evaluated by image analysis. Results show that, after a 1-km sliding distance, TiC-Fe coatings obtained after spraying sintered reactive powders exhibit scar ring three times less deep than sprayed coatings using spray-dried TiC-Fe composite powders. For all coatings considered, porosity is detrimental to wear performance, because it generally lowers the coating strength and provides cavities that favor the adhesion of metal. However, porosity can have a beneficial effect by entrapping debris, thus reducing friction. The good wear behavior of TiC-Fe coatings manufactured by plasma spraying of sintered reactive powders is related to their low coefficient of friction against steel. This is due to the microstructure of these coatings, which consists of 0.3 to 1 μm TiC rounded particles embedded in a steel matrix. This article investigates the optimization of dry sliding performances on the aluminum hybrid metal matrix composites using gray relational analysis in the Taguchi method. Different loads, sliding speeds and varying percentage of molybdenum disulfide are selected as control factors. The multiple responses to evaluate the dry sliding performances are specific wear rate and coefficient of friction. Using a pin-on-disk apparatus, the volume loss and frictional force are measured. Based on gray relational analysis, the optimum level parameters for specific wear rate and coefficient of friction have been identified. An L27 orthogonal array was employed for the experimental design. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) had given the impact of individual factors and interactions on the specific wear rate as well as the coefficient of friction. The results indicated that the three test parameters had a significant role in controlling the friction and wear behavior of composites. Interaction of the control factors showed the sizable influence on tribological performance. Using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) the wear surface morphology and wear mechanism of the composites have been investigated.  相似文献

In the present study, the reciprocating wear behavior of 7075Al/SiC composites and 6061Al/Al2O3 composites that are prepared through liquid metallurgy route is analyzed to find out the effects of weight percentage of reinforcement and load at the fixed number of strokes on a reciprocating wear testing machine. The Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) pins are prepared with different weight percentages (10, 15 and 20%) of SiC and Al2O3 particles with size of 36 μm. Hardness of these composites increases with increase in wt.% of reinforcement. However, the impact strength decreases with increase in reinforcement content. The experimental result shows that the volume loss of MMC specimens is less than that of the matrix alloy. However, the volume loss is greater in 6061Al/Al2O3 composites when compared to 7075Al/SiC composites. The temperature rise near the contact surface of the MMC specimens increases with increase in wt.% of reinforcement and applied load. The coefficient of friction decreases with increase in load in both cases.  相似文献

研究搅拌铸造工艺制备的硼酸镁晶须增强6061铝基复合材料在干滑动条件下的摩擦磨损性能。复合材料的体积分数为2%,根据增强体种类,材料分别记为:Al基体、Mg2B2O5w/6061Al、ZnO/Mg2B2O5w/6061Al和CuO/Mg2B2O5w/6061Al;讨论磨损速率和摩擦因数之间的关系。结果表明:在4种材料中,ZnO/Mg2B2O5w/6061Al复合材料的磨损率最低。随着载荷和滑动速度的增大,基体和复合材料的摩擦因数和磨损率降低,摩擦磨损机制由轻微磨损机制转向严重磨损机制。  相似文献

利用SRV试验机模拟重型车辆发动机电镀Cr活塞环/缸套摩擦副的工作状态,测试了不同条件下摩擦副的摩擦因数和磨损量.采用扫描电镜(SEM)、能谱仪(EDS)分析了磨痕形貌和表面化学成分,研究了电镀Cr活塞环的磨损机制.结果表明,随载荷的增加,摩擦副的摩擦因数减小,总失重量增加.随滑动频率的增加,摩擦副的摩擦因数减小,总失重量先减小后增加,滑动频率为20 Hz时,总失重量达到最小值.随温度的升高,摩擦副的摩擦因数增大,总失重量增加.活塞环和缸套的磨损机理以磨粒磨损为主,在高载荷,高频率或高温条件下,活塞环的磨损机理转变为磨粒磨损和黏着磨损.  相似文献

One kind of three-dimensional network structure, reinforced aluminum magnesium matrix composites, has been prepared by pressure-assisted and vacuum-driven infiltration technology. The composites interpenetrated with ceramic have higher wear resistance than the metal matrix owing to their special topology structure. The reinforcement volume fraction has a large effect on abrasive wear. The wear rate decreases with the increase of the volume fraction of reinforcement and increases with the increase of sliding time and applied load. The wear mechanism of the composites (abrasive wear) differs greatly from the matrix alloy (adhesive wear).  相似文献

探讨了不同含量、不同大小SiCp增强ZA27复合材料的摩擦磨损特性,并借助SEM,EDAX对磨面及其剖面、磨屑进行了分析。结果表明:随着SiCp含量的增加,复合材料的磨损量急剧下降,摩擦系数也呈下降趋势,磨损机制将从粘着和剧烈切屑磨损转向微切削磨损;随着SiCp尺寸的增大,磨损量先急剧减小后趋于稳定,摩擦系数先减小后又升高,磨损机制将从粘着和剧烈切削转向微切削和因SiCp脱粘造成的磨料磨损;经XRD分析复合材料的磨屑由Zn和Al的固溶体相及SiCp和对磨块45#钢的Fe相组成。  相似文献

Friction and wear behavior of a peak aged Cu–0.65 wt.%Cr alloy was investigated. The friction and wear experiments were run under ambient conditions with a pin-on-disk tribometer. Experiments were performed using various applied normal loads and sliding velocities. The tribological behavior of the studied alloy was discussed in terms of friction coefficient, wear loss and wear mechanism.Friction coefficient and wear loss have shown large sensitivity to the applied normal load and the sliding velocity. At the sliding velocity of 0.3 m/s weight loss increased from 6.9 to 51 mg by increasing the normal load from 20 to 40 N. At higher sliding velocity minimum weight loss is achieved at 60 N normal load. So it can be seen that with increasing normal load wear rate decreases due to the formation of a continuous tribofilm which consists of Fe–Cu intermetallic. Varying of friction coefficients in different conditions of normal load and sliding velocity is correlated to the wear behavior.The analysis of worn surfaces by XRD and SEM showed that an increase in normal load and sliding velocity creates an intermetallic wear-induced layer, which modifies the wear behavior of the alloy. The XRD result indicates that new phase of Cu9.9Fe0.1 is generated on worn surfaces of the pin specimens during the wear tests. There is a significant correlation between the micrograph of worn surfaces and the wear rate of specimens.  相似文献
