Dynamic Software Product Lines (DSPL) encompass systems that are capable of modifying their own behavior with respect to changes in their operating environment by using run-time reconfigurations. A failure in these reconfigurations can directly impact the user experience since the reconfigurations are performed when the system is already under the users control. In this work, we prototype a Smart Hotel DSPL to evaluate the reliability-based risk of the DSPL reconfigurations, specifically, the probability of malfunctioning (Availability) and the consequences of malfunctioning (Severity). This DSPL prototype was performed with the participation of human subjects by means of a Smart Hotel case study which was deployed with real devices. Moreover, we successfully identified and addressed two challenges associated with the involvement of human subjects in DSPL prototyping: enabling participants to (1) trigger the run-time reconfigurations and to (2) understand the effects of the reconfigurations. The evaluation of the case study reveals positive results regarding both Availability and Severity. However, the participant feedback highlights issues with recovering from a failed reconfiguration or a reconfiguration triggered by mistake. To address these issues, we discuss some guidelines learned in the case study. Finally, although the results achieved by the DSPL may be considered satisfactory for its particular domain, DSPL engineers must provide users with more control over the reconfigurations or the users will not be comfortable with DSPLs. 相似文献

The European Lung Cancer Working Party has investigated prognostic factors for response, overall survival, long term survival in a population with advanced non small cell lung cancer registered in a clinical trial evaluating platinum derivatives-containing chemotherapy regimens. Various factors have been identified in multivariate analyses and were classified using RECPAM methodology. In addition to the clinical factors such as disease extent and performance status were shown, as significant predictors, rarely studied biological factors like pretherapeutic leucocyte and polynuclear levels. The obtention of an objective response to chemotherapy appeared to be a major prognostic factor for further survival. 相似文献

Polypropylene‐based composites filled with multi‐wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), ranging from 1 to 6 wt%, were obtained by injection molding from a previous masterbatch compounded by twin‐screw extrusion (TSE). Resultant electrical percolation phenomenon was related to the ultrathin structure of the carbon‐based fillers and the high dispersion achieved in the thermoplastic matrix. In particular, conductivity experiments showed a threshold value of 3 wt% (1.3 vol%) of MWCNTs for percolation to occur. Electrical percolation was achieved as a result of the formation of an interconnected three‐dimensional structure compromising a top average inter‐nanotube distance of about 493 nm among isolated nanotubes in polypropylene. The effect of high-intensity pulsed electric field (HIPEF) treatments on polygalacturonase (PG) activity in an aqueous solution of a commercial enzyme preparation was evaluated. HIPEF treatments reduced PG activity notably. Exponentially decaying pulses of 40 and 160 µs generated by a laboratory scale device were applied in a batch processing and bipolar mode. Electric fields ranged from 5.18 to 19.39 kV/cm. The number of pulses ranged up to 400. Temperature was always below 25 °C. Maximum inactivation of PG activity (98%) required 32.4 ms HIPEF treatment at 10.28 kV/cm. PG activity depleted exponentially because of HIPEF treatments. The first order rate constants ranged from 32 to 590 µs -1 and increased exponentially with electric field intensity. PG activity decreased exponentially with input electric energy density. 相似文献

A generalized mathematical model was developed to simulate food refrigeration in air. The model takes into account surface water evaporation. It allows food physical properties to be considered as functions of temperature and/or composition, while providing means for including internal heat generation, composite materials (for instance, flesh and skin) and time-varying external temperature and humidity. Wetted surfaces and packaging can also be accounted for by the model, which can be used for spheres, infinite or finite cylinders, slabs. The numerical method was developed using the Crank-Nicolson scheme, and compared with exact analytical solutions as well as with experimental data on the refrigeration of various foods. 相似文献

In complete contact fretting problems under global sliding conditions, the stress state at the corner of the contact zone is usually singular (assuming elastic behaviour). This stress state is characterized by two parameters: the order of singularity and the generalized stress intensity factor (GSIF). The former can be analytically calculated for a given problem. However, the GSIF is usually obtained by means of numerical procedures. One of the most used is the application of the stress extrapolation technique in combination with a FE analysis. In this work, a path-independent contour integral is defined which enables the GSIF calculation. Using this novel technique, a much more accurate estimation of the GSIF is obtained for a given discretization. In addition, a refined mesh around the singular point is not needed, because the contour integral can be applied along paths far from the singularity dominated zone due to its path independence. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Escherichia vulneris is an enterobacteriaceae seldom isolated in microbiology laboratories. We report two cases of infection with positive cultures for this microorganism. METHODS: Microbiological cultures of wound secretion and peritoneal fluid on usual media. Identification by PASCO and API 20E systems. Antimicrobial sensitivity was performed by a commercial microdilution system. RESULTS: The first case is a postsurgical hand infection from which was isolated Escherichia vulneris with Enterococcus faecium, it shows the typical presentation of infection by this bacteria. The second case consists of a peritonitis after aggressive abdominal surgery. In the peritoneal fluid culture, Escherichia vulneris and Cedecea neteri were recovered. CONCLUSIONS: The isolation of Escherichia vulneris has not been reported previously in Spain. We contribute towards its better knowledge with two clinical reports: a typical infection and an exceptional isolation from peritoneal fluid. 相似文献
