A luminescent Eu, Dy: SrAl2O4 glass‐ceramics with high transparency in the visible region was successfully synthesized using the frozen sorbet technique with the control of O2 partial pressure () for the oxidation of Eu2+ ions. The glass‐ceramics include Eu2+, Eu3+, and Dy3+ ions, and thus exhibits three characteristic types of emission bands, 4f–5d at around 520 nm (Eu2+ ions), 4f–4f at 610 nm (Eu3+ ions), and 480 nm (Dy3+ ions). The Eu, Dy: SrAl2O4 glass‐ceramics provide remarkable long‐persistent luminescence under dark condition. The glass‐ceramics also exhibits color‐changing luminescence in the visible region based on their remarkable light storage properties. The luminescent Eu, Dy: SrAl2O4 glass‐ceramics using the frozen sorbet technique with control of are promising materials for application in novel photonic and light storage materials. 相似文献

This study re-visits the effects of loading rate on sand behavior in view of seismic design of pile foundation. Based on an extensive literature review covering both element testing and model testing, the paper summarizes the current understanding of the loading rate effects. The paper then describes the development of test apparatus used in this study and presents the data obtained from a series of monotonically increasing triaxial compression tests on Toyoura sand, varying the strain rate in the range of 0.005%/s to 250%/s. A total of 36 tests were conducted on dry and saturated sand, both under drained and undrained conditions with two confining pressures. The experimental results confirm that the soil strength and the soil stiffness increase as the strain rate increase. This paper also concludes that the internal friction angle and deformation modulus increase when the strain rate is high. The implications of the loading rate effect on pile foundation design are then presented. 相似文献

Five anionic surfactants widely used in commercial skin cleansers were studied: sodium polyoxyethylene lauryl ether carboxylate (EC), sodium polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate (ES), sodium dodecyl sulfate, potassium laurate, and N-cocoyl-l-glutamic acid monosodium salt. The amount of surfactant from aqueous solution adsorbed into the stratum corneum (SC), the degree of SC swelling, the change of the secondary structure of SC proteins (denaturation). The surface tension of surfactant–zein mixed solutions, and the solubilization behavior of zein were measured. Results showed that EC had the lowest adsorption into SC, the lowest SC swelling, and lowest denaturation of SC proteins. Low interactions between surfactants and SC proteins were also observed for EC/ES mixture solutions as well as. Mixing EC with ES good foaming performance. The EC/ES mixture, at about 1:1 ratio, is an excellent surfactant system for skin cleanser applications having cleansing characteristics and mildness to the skin. 相似文献

The basic characteristics of the reacting mixing flow of two streams were investigated. The reaction between aqueous solutions of ammonia and acetic acid, which produces ammonium acetate, was investigated in terms of the effect on the fluid–fluid interface of the mixing flow relative to fluids that did not react. The reaction between these solutions was negligibly exothermic, and there were minimal differences in density. The velocity field in the reacting mixing flow was quantitatively measured using high-speed time-resolved particle image velocimetry (PIV) and the behavior of the mixing flow was qualitatively investigated using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF). The jet width, the velocity field, the kinetic energy and the turbulent intensities are qualitatively estimated and discussed. The effects of operational conditions on the drying performance in closed superheated steam drying were examined theoretically and experimentally. The vapor generated from the sample was circulated in the drying chamber. In the theoretical analysis, the replacement of air with vapor in drying chamber and the convective vapor transfer in sample were considered. At the start of drying, the drying chamber was filled with air. As the drying proceeded, the air was replaced with the vapor generated from sample. The calculated results explained the characteristics of experimental data. The pore diameter of sample had little effect on the drying characteristics. During the internal evaporation period, the evaporation occurred in the narrow zone, which moved from the surface to the bottom of sample. The convective vapor transfer in sample had a significant influence on the drying performance. The excess increments in temperature and velocity of drying gas hardly contributed to shortening the drying time. 相似文献

Laser pressure welding was conducted by changing the laser power and the roller pressure in the previous experiment. It was revealed that dissimilar metal welding of galvannealed steel and pure aluminium was feasible in a wide range of welding conditions. When the roller pressure was more than 1.96 kN at the laser powers equal to or less than 1400 W, the joint strengths were so high that the specimens in the tensile shear and the peel tests fractured in the A1050 parent metal. In order to know the reason for such high strengths of joints with thick compound layers and the joining mechanism, the compound layer was observed by HR-transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The TEM observation results revealed that the main phase in the compound layer was the solid solution of Al + Zn. Moreover, the intermetallic compound was identified as FeAl, Fe2Al5, Fe4Al13 and Fe2Al5Zn0.4 phase by electron diffraction. The Fe3Zn10 (Γ phase) of Fe–Zn intermetallic compound was confirmed on a Fe base material. It is guessed that the joining areas were heated at a range of 782°C more than 665°C, a melting point of Al, by laser irradiation because the δlk phase aspect was not confirmed. Because the surfaces of A1050 and Zn plated layer were melted thinly, the layer was over 10 μm thicker. The reason for the production of high-strength joints with a relatively thick intermetallic compound layer was attributed to the formation of (Al + Zn) phase with finely dispersed intermetallic compounds. 相似文献

Gold nanoparticles with diameters of a few tens of nanometer and a narrow size distribution were synthesized using a pulsed
mixing method with a microfluidic system which consists of a Y-shaped mixing microchannel and two piezoelectric valveless
micropumps. This mixing method enables control of the mixing speed of gold salts and reducing agent by changing the switching
frequency of the micropumps, which was our focus to improve the particle size distribution, which is an essential parameter
in gold nanoparticle synthesis. In the proposed method, the mixing time was inversely proportional to the switching frequency
and the minimum mixing time was 95 ms at a switching frequency of 200 Hz. During synthesis experiments, the mean diameter
of the synthesized gold nanoparticles was found to increase, and the coefficient of variation of particle size was found to
decrease with decreasing mixing time. We successfully improved the coefficient of variation to less than 10% for a mean diameter

Branched polystyrenes were prepared by quasi‐living radical copolymerization of N,N‐diethylaminodithiocarbamoylmethylstyrene (inimer: DTCS) with styrene under UV irradiation. DTCS monomers play an important role in this copolymerization system as an inimer capable of initiating living radical polymerization of the vinyl group. Two monomers (DTCS and styrene) showed equal reactivity toward both propagating species, and the copolymer composition was the same as the comonomer feed. This result means that both the branching and chain length of the hyperbranched molecules can be controlled statistically by the feed monomer ratios. The compact nature of the branched macromolecules is demonstrated by viscosity measurements compared to the linear analogues. © 2001 Society of Chemical Industry 相似文献
