Epcat, one of the spent fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts from oil-cracking refineries, shows pozzolanic activity. In this study, pastes and mortars with Epcat were prepared and cured, and their compressive strengths after 3, 7 and 28 curing days were measured. The water/binder (W/B) ratios were 0.2, 0.25 and 0.3, and the replacement levels of cement by Epcat were 0, 5, 10 and 15 wt.%. Proper amount of superplasticizer was added into each mix to ensure similar workability.The results indicate that the presence of Epcat would increase the compressive strength of mortars substantially, but increase the compressive strength of the related pastes only slightly. Epcat mortars with W/B=0.25 show more strength-enhancing effect than those with W/B=0.3, and this effect increases with the catalyst content. Therefore, the mix (W/B=0.25) incorporated 15% Epcat exhibits the greatest compressive strength (92.3 MPa). For mortars with W/B=0.2, the strength-enhancing effect occurs only for those containing 5% catalyst; this effect becomes unclear when mixes containing 10% Epcat or more because high dosage of superplasticizer was added in obtaining proper workability and that affects the strength development. The improvement in the mechanical properties of mortars is attributed to the increase in the hydrated cement paste itself and, more importantly, improved bonds between the cement paste and aggregate.  相似文献

The effects of platinum (Pt) and silver (Ag) metallisation in the photocatalytic oxidation of resorcinol at pH 3 ± 0.5 have been investigated. The photocatalytic degradation of resorcinol was significantly improved by Pt/TiO2, while the presence of Ag/TiO2 enhanced the initial photocatalytic degradation rate of resorcinol slightly. Likewise, the photocatalytic mineralisation of resorcinol continued to be enhanced by Pt/TiO2, but it was retarded when Ag/TiO2 was used.

The function of Pt and Ag deposits on the surface of TiO2 has been found to be markedly influenced by the interaction of resorcinol and its degradation products with the metal deposits. The presence of Pt or Ag on the surface of TiO2 altered the distribution of degradation products of resorcinol as well as the production of photoactive species for the photocatalytic oxidation of resorcinol. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), zeta potential and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyses have indicated that the contrasting effect of Pt and Ag deposits were governed by the oxidation states and the catalytic property of metal deposits. In addition to that, it has been found that the roles of metal deposits are specific and should not be generalised.  相似文献

综合介绍了脉冲电流通过细金属丝放电(pulsed wire discharge,PWD)制备纳米粉体的方法.讨论了影响纳米粉体,特别是晶粒尺寸的因素,以防止形成亚微米颗粒.因为达到电压峰值的丝的沉积能相当于丝的汽化能,因此,能夠计算出沉积能.随着所施加的能量增加,气体压力降低,介质气体的热扩散率增大,晶粒尺寸变小.在惰性气氛中,采用PWD工艺,由金属蒸气急冷可制备金属粉体.如果介质气体变为氧气或者氨气,就能制备氧化物、氮化物纳米粒子.要制备双金属合金、双氧化物或氮化物纳米粒子就必需采用双金属丝和不同的介质气体.采用PWD工艺,在有机气体或烟气中,能制备电磁屏蔽和导电浆料和其它用途的钝化纳米粒子.采用丝输送器而实现大量生产纳米粉体的PWD工艺一个实例证明了PWD工艺生产纳米粉体的可行性.  相似文献

Ag/C catalysts with different loading were prepared using a colloidal route to obtain well dispersed catalysts on carbon, with a particle size close to 15 nm. An amount of 20 wt.% Ag on carbon was found to be the best loading in terms of current density and mass activity. The 20 wt.% Ag/C catalyst was then studied and the kinetics towards ORR was determined and compared with that of a 20 wt.% Pt/C catalyst. The number of exchanged electrons for the ORR was found to be close to four with the rotating disk electrode (RDE) as well as with the rotating ring disc electrode (RRDE) techniques. From the RDE results, the Tafel slopes b, the diffusion limiting current density inside the catalytic film (jlfilm) and the exchange current density (j0) were evaluated. The Tafel slopes b and diffusion limiting current densities inside the catalytic film (jlfilm) were found to be in the same order for both catalysts, whereas the exchange current density (j0), which is a suitable estimation of the activity of the catalyst, was at least 10 times higher at the Pt/C catalyst than at the Ag/C catalyst. The behavior of both catalysts in methanol containing electrolyte was investigated and it was found that at a low methanol concentration, the Pt/C catalyst was quasi-tolerant to methanol. But, at a high methanol concentration, the ORR at a Pt/C was affected. However, the Pt/C catalyst showed in each case better activity towards ORR than the Ag/C catalyst, even if the latter one was less affected by the presence of methanol than the former one.  相似文献

Influence of polymer on cement hydration in SBR-modified cement pastes   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The influence of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) latex on cement hydrates Ca(OH)2, ettringite, C4AH13 and C-S-H gel and the degree of cement hydration is studied by means of several measure methods. The results of DSC and XRD show that the Ca(OH)2 content in wet-cured SBR-modified cement pastes increases with polymer-cement ratio (P/C) and reaches a maximum when P/C is 5%, 10% and 10% for the pastes hydrated for 3 d, 7 d and 28 d, respectively. With wet cure, appropriate addition of SBR promotes the hydration of cement, while the effect of SBR on the content of Ca(OH)2 and the degree of cement hydration is not remarkable in mixed-cured SBR-modified cement pastes. XRD results illustrate that SBR accelerates the reaction of calcium aluminate with gypsum, and thus enhances the formation and stability of the ettringite and inhibits the formation of C4AH13. The structure of aluminum-oxide and silicon-oxide polyhedron is characterized by 27Al and 29Si solid state NMR spectrum method, which shows that tetrahedron and octahedron are the main forms of aluminum-oxide polyhedrons in SBR-modified cement pastes. There are only [SiO4]4− tetrahedron monomer and dimer in the modified pastes hydrated for 3 d, but there appears three-tetrahedron polymer in the modified pastes hydrated for 28 d. The effect of low SBR dosage on the structure of aluminum-oxide and silicon-oxide polyhedron is slight. However, the combination of Al3+ with [SiO4]4− is restrained when P/C is above 15%, and the structure of Al3+ is changed obviously. Meantime, the polymerization of the [SiO4]4− tetrahedron in C-S-H gel is controlled.  相似文献

The electrochemical reduction of benzyl halides PhCH2X (X = Cl, Br and I) has been investigated at Ag and glassy carbon (GC) electrodes in CH3CN + 0.1 M Et4NClO4. At both electrodes reduction of PhCH2X involves irreversible electron transfer concerted with breaking of the carbon-halogen bond. All three halides exhibit a single 2e reduction peak at GC, whereas up to three peaks can be observed at the Ag electrode. Silver exhibits remarkable catalytic properties for the reduction process, which is positively shifted by 0.45-0.72 V with respect to GC. The mechanism of reduction of the organic halides at Ag involves adsorption of both the starting reagents and their reduction products. Adsorption of PhCH2Cl and PhCH2Br is weak and slow, whereas PhCH2I is more rapidly and strongly adsorbed, so that two distinct peaks can be observed for the reduction of the dissolved and adsorbed molecules. Controlled-potential electrolyses at Ag have shown that the process may be directed to the production of bibenzyl or toluene, depending on the applied potential.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the evolution of the microstructure of cementitious materials subjected to high temperatures and subsequent resaturation in the particular context of long-term storage of radioactive wastes, where diffusive and convective properties are of primary importance. Experimental results obtained by mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP) are presented concerning the evolution of the pore network of ordinary portland cement (OPC) paste heated at temperatures varying between 80 and 300 °C. The consequences of heating on the macroscopic properties of cement paste are evaluated by measures of the residual gas permeabilities, elastic moduli and Poisson's ratio, obtained by nondestructive methods. Resaturation by direct water absorption and water vapour sorption are used to estimate the reversibility of dehydration. The results provide some evidence of the self-healing capacity of resaturated cement paste after heating at temperatures up to 300 °C.  相似文献
