In this research, hydroxyapatite (HA)-based ceramics were produced as suitable ceramic implants for orthopedic applications. To improve the physical, mechanical, electrical and biological properties of pure HA, we developed composite scaffolds of HA-barium titanate (BT) by cold isostatic pressing and sintering. Microstructure, crystal phases, and molecular structure were analyzed by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), respectively. Bulk density values were measured using the Archimedes method. The effect of different percentages of BT on cell proliferation, viability, and ALP activity of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) was assessed by ProstoBlue assay, Live/Dead staining, and p-NPP assay. The obtained results indicate that the HA-BT scaffolds possess higher compressive strength, toughness, density, and hardness compared with pure HA scaffolds. After immersing the scaffold in SBF solution, more deposited apatite appeared on the HA-BT, which results in rougher surface on this scaffold thanpure HA. Electrical properties of HA in the presence of BT are improved. Based on the results of cell culture experiments, composites containing 40, 50 and 60 %wt of BT have excellent biocompatibility, with the best results occurring for the sample with 50 %wt BT. 相似文献

The non-equiatomic FeCoNiAlSi alloy is prepared by the Bridgman solidification (BS) technique at different withdrawal velocities (V = 30, 100, and 200 μm/s). Various characterization techniques have been used to study the microstructure and crystal orientation. The morphological evolutions accompanying the crystal growth of the alloy prepared at different withdrawal velocities are nearly the same, from equiaxed grains to columnar crystals. The transition of coercivity is closely related to the local microstructure, while the saturation magnetization changes little at different sites. The coercivity can be significantly reduced from the equiaxed grain area to the columnar crystal area when the applied magnetic field direction is parallel to the crystal growth direction, no matter what is the withdrawal velocity. In addition, the alloy possesses magnetic anisotropy when the applied magnetic field is in different directions. 相似文献

Using a comprehensive set of drop weight impact test data (h50) newly compiled from literature for 308 materials, a recent approach to predict impact sensitivities of nitro compounds is generalized to most explosive substances of interest. Compared to previous ones, this procedure is more thoroughly validated and exhibits a good predictive value. Interest in developing high-performance blends for niche applications has grown significantly in efforts to meet ever-increasing harsh environment demands. In this work, four model poly(aryl-ether-ketone)/polybenzimidazole (PAEK/PBI) blends were chosen to study the influence of premixing methods, processing, and matrix polymers, on their mechanical properties. Among the model poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) and PBI blends, mechanical properties are greatly enhanced by melt premixing. The molding process mainly affects the matrix crystallinity, which in turn greatly influences fracture toughness of the blend. Poly(ether ketone ketone) (PEKK) and PBI blend exhibits a slightly lower tensile strength and fracture toughness than PEEK/PBI due to the differences in inherent properties of PEEK and PEKK matrices and their interfacial interaction with PBI. The PbClxS1-x and Pb1-xBixS (x? =?0–0.05) bulks were fabricated with a facile method of hydrothermal synthesis and microwave sintering, and the effect of anionic and cationic donors on the thermoelectric performance of PbS was investigated. Although Cl? and Bi3+ both effectively improved the thermoelectric properties of n-type PbS, more excellent thermoelectric performance was obtained from Cl? doped samples because of higher electrical property and lower thermal conductivity at higher temperature (T? >?600?K). The thermoelectric figure of merit (ZT) reaches 1.04 for PbCl0.015S0.985 at 800?K and increases with temperature increasing without sign of saturation, which is probably the highest value ever reported for single-phase polycrystalline n-type PbS. The results also indicate that the hydrothermal synthesis and microwave sintering can realize anion doping as well as cation doping for n-type PbS at low cost, and PbS should be a robust alternative for PbTe thermoelectric materials. 相似文献

为了提升大断面球墨铸铁综合力学性能,通过复合添加微量合金元素铜、锑、锡、钼对大断面球墨铸铁进行微合金化处理,借助金相显微镜(OM)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)及力学性能测试等手段,研究了Cu Sb Sn Mo复合微合金化大断面球墨铸铁微观组织和力学性能。结果表明,试验球墨铸铁具有良好的综合力学性能。大断面球墨铸铁中添加铜、锑、锡、钼后优化了材料的组织结构,基体组织为珠光体+少量牛眼状铁素体;试样石墨组织细小、圆整,分布均匀。同时,合金元素的复合加入使得其抗拉强度达到800 MPa以上,硬度约为280HB,伸长率达到5%以上。拉伸断口分析表明,微合金化大断面球墨铸铁断裂模式以解理断裂为主,伴有少量的塑性变形。 相似文献

采用双转子连续混炼挤出机并通过熔融共混法制备了碳纤维(CF)增强聚苯硫醚(PPS)复合材料,并对其微观形貌、动态力学性能、力学性能和导电性能进行了研究,且对相关的影响因素进行了分析。结果表明,适当降低挤出机转子转速、提高CF含量可以改善PPS/CF复合材料的力学性能和导电性能;当转子转速为200r/min时,采用含量为20 % (质量分数,下同)的CF制得的PPS/CF复合材料的冲击强度达到49.94 J/m,体积电阻率达到60.65 Ω·cm,均优于纯PPS。 相似文献

以机械共混法制备亲水性聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)共混材料,并通过接触角测定仪、差示扫描量热仪(DSC)和电子万能材料试验机等对共混材料的亲水性能、热性能和力学性能等进行研究与分析。结果表明,亲水处理剂聚乙二醇(PEG)、聚丙烯酸钠(PAAS)、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮(PVP)均能改善PET的亲水性能,影响PET的结晶性能,但亲水处理剂对PET的力学性能影响较小,其中PET/PEG共混材料的亲水性最优;随着PEG含量的增加,PET/PEG共混材料的亲水性先逐渐增强,当PEG含量高于5 %后,共混材料的亲水性变化很小;且PET的结晶度随着PEG的加入呈现先增大后减小的趋势。 相似文献

The titanium carbides are potential candidates to achieve both high hardness and refractory property. We carried out a structural search for titanium carbides at three pressures of 0 GPa, 30 GPa and 50 GPa. A phase diagram of the Ti-C system at 0 K was obtained by elucidating formation enthalpies as a function of compositions, and their mechanical and metallic properties of titanium carbides were investigated systematically. We also discussed the relation of titanium concentration to the both mechanical and metallic properties of titanium carbides. It has been found that the average valence electron density and tractility improved at higher concentrations of titanium, while the degree of covalent bonding directionality decreased. To this effect, the hardness of titanium carbide decreases as the content of titanium increases. Our results indicated that the titanium content significantly affected the metallic properties of the Ti-C system. 相似文献
