The increased awareness toward the global warming and the environmental pollution problems has stimulated the utilization of the alternative energy sources since they can positively take part in minimizing such problems. Among these sources, biomass based solid wastes is counted as one of the most promising in the field of energy production. Thus, the current research work focuses on the conversion of rice straw (a biomass-based solid waste) into hydrocarbon gases in general and methane (main constituent of natural gas) in particular. The reduction of the operational temperature and the elevated rate of solid-to-gas conversion are newly presented approaches in this research. Specifically, the used operating temperature, in this study, had been 250?°C while the well-known temperature range for slow pyrolysis is 380–550?°C. Another approach is represented in this work via the orientation of the obtained biogas to become mainly hydrocarbon gases instead of CO, CO2 and CH4 mixture, as the common for such pyrolysis processes. The attained high rate of solid-to-gas conversion (80%) while at low temperature is also a new approach of this study since such high rate is just possible in the flash pyrolysis (750–900?°C). In an effort to enhance the efficiency of fertilizer use and minimize their negative impact on the environment, a novel biomass-based, functional controlled-release fertilizer was used to improve nutrient use efficiency and increase crop production systems for more sustainable agriculture practices. Here, bio-based amino-oil (Priamine) mixtures were proposed as an outer coating with different layers for the control of phosphorus release from diammonium Phosphate (DAP). These hydrophobic coatings conferred excellent barrier properties and flexibility to coatings. The morphological characterization of the coated fertilizer was performed by scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), electronic diffraction X-ray (EDX) and mapping, and revealed the formation of a cohesive film and a good adhesion between DAP fertilizer and coating film. The release rate of nutrients (phosphate) in water was investigated by UV–Vis spectrophotometer. The effect of coating thickness was investigated on release time and diffusion coefficient of phosphor release in distilled water. Release time increased with the coating thickness. The diffusion coefficient of nutrient release decreased with the coating thickness. Compared with uncoated granule which is totally solubilized after less than 2 hours, the P release profiles of the coated granules reached the equilibrium stage approximately after 98 and 126 hours when the DAP is coated with only Priamine single-layer (1L) and double-layer (2L), respectively. Moreover, the strategy adopted has successfully provided a very slow release and long-term availability of nutrient sources with bio-based coating oil compared to uncoated fertilizer (DAP) and therefore exhibited promising application for sustainable development of modern agriculture and circular economic. 相似文献

Quasi elliptic filters are of great demand in the present day communication systems. Coupling matrix analysis of pseudo-elliptic low pass filter using conventional microstrip line is presented in this paper. The conventional microstrip line has no non-zero cut off frequency. The conventional microstrip line is transformed into a pseudo-elliptic low-pass filter using the concept of slow wave. The slow wave microstrip line exhibits pseudo-elliptic low-pass behavior with transmission zeros at finite frequencies unlike the conventional Butterworth and Chebyshev filters. The coupling matrix of the slow wave microstrip line is arrived at by using the generalized Chebyshev functions. The coupling matrix of the slow wave line is validated using the MATLAB tool box. The effect of hydrogen on the fracture behavior of the quenched and tempered AISI 4135 steel at 1450 MPa has been investigated by means of slow strain rate tests on smooth and circumferentially-notched round-bar specimens. Hydrogen was introduced into specimens by electrochemical charging and its content was measured by thermal desorption spectrometry (TDS) analysis. Results showed that the steel had high hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility. For both smooth and notched specimens, the fracture mode was changed from microvoid coalescence (MVC) to brittle intergranular (IG) fracture after the introduction of a small amount of diffusible hydrogen. Fracture initiated in the vicinity of the notch root for notched specimens, while it started from around the center in smooth specimens. The fracture stress decreased with increasing diffusible hydrogen content, and the decreasing trend was more prominent for specimens with a higher stress concentration factor. Taking into account the stress-driven hydrogen diffusion and accumulation in the vicinity of the notch root, the local diffusible hydrogen concentration and local fracture stress in notched specimens have been calculated. According to numerical results, the relationship between the local fracture stress and local diffusible hydrogen concentration was independent of stress concentration factor, which could account for the effect of hydrogen on the fracture stress of the steel. 相似文献

By slow strain rate technique, hydrogen embrittlement (HE) of a 2205 duplex stainless steel was studied in deaerated acidic (pH 6.5) artificial sea water, in the absence and in presence of sulphide ions (1-30 ppm). Strain rate tests (1 × 10−6 s−1) were performed on specimens polarized at −0.9; −1.0 and −1.2 VSCE at 25 ± 0.1 °C. HE was evaluated by R, the ratio between the % elongation to fracture in the aggressive solution and in air.Duplex stainless steel were subjected to HE in acidic artificial sea water at −0.9 VSCE. HE increased at −1.0 VSCE but it was reduced at −1.2 VSCE. This decrease was attributed to the influence of a calcareous deposit.Sulphide ions at 1 ppm were sufficient to stimulate HE of duplex stainless steel. The higher the sulphide amount and the more negative the cathodic potential, the higher HE was. In the presence of S2−, the shielding effect of the calcareous deposit was not evident. 相似文献
