Relationship between quality‐management systems and organizational innovations

The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether there is any correlation between the implementation of quality‐management systems (QMSs) in manufacturing firms and the use of certain organizational innovations in those firms. A conceptual model of the relationships among the constructs of “organizational innovations” and “level of quality management” is proposed and tested. The study finds a correlation between the level of quality management in an organization and the implementation of procedural organizational innovations. Because the study is pioneering and exploratory in nature, the analysis is confined to the use of a limited number of organizational innovations in Spanish manufacturing firms. The findings will assist managers to make appropriate strategic decisions when implementing QMSs. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

微灌在中国:历史、现状和未来

微灌技术在我国的发展历经40余年,通过不断的实践与创新,逐步实现了关键设备的国产化和系列化,研究解决了系统设计和运行管理中出现的一大批关键问题,形成多个符合我国国情又具有明显地域特色的微灌技术应用模式,取得了显著的节水增产效果,成为我国节水灌溉的主要形式之一。同时,微灌技术的不断进步也促进了其在水肥药精量控制和农田生态环境调控管理等方面的综合效益发挥,成为推动我国农业现代化、实现农业生产方式转变的重要力量。本文通过回顾微灌技术在我国的应用和研究历程,系统总结了微灌技术在研究和实践中取得的标志性成果,在深入分析研究领域和应用中存在问题的基础上,提出了需要进一步研究的问题和方向,为微灌技术在我国的可持续发展提供参考。     

Likelihood analysis of a first-order autoregressive model with exponential innovations

Abstract. This paper derives the exact distribution of the maximum likelihood estimator of a first-order linear autoregression with an exponential disturbance term. We also show that, even if the process is stationary, the estimator is T -consistent, where T is the sample size. In the unit root case, the estimator is T ²-consistent, while, in the explosive case, the estimator is ρ ^T -consistent. Further, the likelihood ratio test statistic for a simple hypothesis on the autoregressive parameter is asymptotically uniform for all values of the parameter.

Market reaction to patent infringement litigations in the information technology industry

Intellectual property portfolios that include unique inventions and discoveries are potentially inimitable resources that provide strategic leverage to Information Technology (IT) firms. The increasing patent related litigations in the IT industry, and the high costs associated with litigations make this an economically significant activity. Taking a market oriented view to this issue we investigate the economic impact of patent infringement litigation on both the plaintiff and the defendant firms in IT industry. Event study methodology is used to assess the effect of the litigation on the stock market returns around the date of litigation announcement as well as the date of settlement/termination. Our results suggest that the news of patent infringement litigation was unfavorably accepted in the stock market for the defendants. On the other hand, abnormal returns for plaintiff firms around litigation announcement date as well as settlement/termination date were significantly positive. We find evidence to the effect that patent litigations are not zero-sum games since combined abnormal returns for the plaintiff and defendant firms are negative. Patents belonging to the electronic and electric categories are more likely to influence market returns, whereas computer and communications patent categories are less likely to do so. Patent importance (as measured by patent citations) is found to be an important contributor to market’s evaluation of a patent litigation’s impact.

集群企业在进行技术创新战略选择时会同时受到集群生命周期与企业生命周期的影响,将两者的生命周期集成起来考虑,构建集群企业技术创新战略选择指标体系,运用AHP与TOPSIS相结合构建了集群企业技术创新战略选择模型,最后通过算例,比较分析了处在成熟期阶段的集群内的成熟期企业的自主创新、模仿创新和合作创新3种技术创新战略,得到此时企业应该选择自主创新战略的结论.

从新会双水电厂探索发电厂的创新设计

本文通过广东新会双水发电厂的设计投标从建筑设计构思方面对工业建筑特别是生产工艺性较强的发电厂建筑如何进行创新提出了一些看法。     

新型大直径采煤机螺旋滚筒的设计与制造

该采煤机螺旋滚筒针对神东矿区的地质条件和客户的要求,设计时采用超大直径、重型破岩、局部减重等方案。制造过程中对于一些难点,提出了可行的实施方案,对易磨损部位进行重点保护。该大直径采煤机螺旋滚筒已取代进口产品,实现了国产化。设计、制造过程中的技术创新点,为后续产品开发提供了参考。
