Additive manufacturing or 3D printing enables fabricating complex structures at a faster production rate using different types of materials for various applications. Recently, 3D printing methods are being studied for thermal‐related applications. In this paper, the authors review recent progress of materials and printing techniques for thermal application devices using composite materials.

d="adem201800207-sec-0001"> Zirconium alloys for biomedical applications are receiving increasing attention due to their two unique properties: 1) the formation of an intrinsic bone‐like apatite layer on their surfaces in body environments, and 2) better compatibility with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) diagnostics due to their low magnetic susceptibility, as well as their overall excellent biocompatibility, mechanical properties, and bio‐corrosion resistance. In particular, since both of the MRI quality and speed depend on magnetic field strength, there is a compelling drive for use of high magnetic field strength (>3 Tesla) MRI systems. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the characteristics of commercially pure (CP) Zr and Zr‐based alloys as orthopaedic and dental implant materials. These include their 1) phase transformations; 2) unique properties including corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, magnetic susceptibility, shape memory effect, and super‐elasticity; 3) mechanical properties; 4) current orthopaedic and dental applications; and 5) the delectron theory for Zr alloy design and novel Zr‐alloys. The mechanical properties of Zr‐based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) and their application as implant materials are also assessed. Future directions for extending the use of Zr‐alloys as orthopaedic and dental implants are discussed.

High‐energy storage devices are in demand for the rapid development of modern society. Until now, many kinds of energy storage devices, such as lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), sodium‐ion batteries (NIBs), and so on, have been developed in the past 30 years. However, most of the commercially exploited and studied active electrode materials of these energy storage devices possess a single phase with low reversible capacity or unsatisfied cycle stability. Continuous and extensive research efforts are made to develop alternative materials with a higher specific energy density and long cycle life by element doping or surface modification. A novel strategy of forming composite‐structure electrode materials by introducing structure units has attracted great attention in recent years. Herein, based on previous publications on these composite‐structure materials, some important scientific points focusing on the design of composite‐structure materials for better electrochemical performances reveal the distinction of composite structures based on average and local structure analysis methods, and an understanding of the relationship between these interior composite structures and their electrochemical performances is discussed thoroughly. The lithiation/delithiation mechanism and the remaining challenges and perspectives for composite‐structure electrode materials are also elaborated.  相似文献

Elections are a central model in a variety of areas. This paper studies parameterized computational complexity of five control problems in the Maximin election. We obtain the following results: constructive control by adding candidates is W[2]-hard with respect to the parameter “number of added candidates”; both constructive and destructive control by adding/deleting voters are W[1]-hard with respect to the parameter “number of added/deleted voters”.  相似文献

In this paper we prove that, under suitable conditions, Atanassov’s Kα operators, which act on intervals, provide the same numerical results as OWA operators of dimension two. On one hand, this allows us to recover OWA operators from Kα operators. On the other hand, by analyzing the properties of Atanassov’s operators, we can generalize them. In this way, we introduce a class of aggregation functions - the generalized Atanassov operators - that, in particular, include two-dimensional OWA operators. We investigate under which conditions these generalized Atanassov operators satisfy some properties usually required for aggregation functions, such as bisymmetry, strictness, monotonicity, etc. We also show that if we apply these aggregation functions to interval-valued fuzzy sets, we obtain an ordered family of fuzzy sets.  相似文献

Current extensions of hidden Markov models such as structural, hierarchical, coupled, and others have the power to classify complex and highly organized patterns. However, one of their major limitations is the inability to cope with topology: When applied to a visible observation (VO) sequence, the traditional HMM-based techniques have difficulty predicting the n-dimensional shape formed by the symbols of the VO sequence. To fulfill this need, we propose a novel paradigm named “topological hidden Markov models” (THMMs) that classifies VO sequences by embedding the nodes of an HMM state transition graph in a Euclidean space. This is achieved by modeling the noise embedded in the shape generated by the VO sequence. We cover the first and second level topological HMMs. We describe five basic problems that are assigned to a second level topological hidden Markov model: (1) sequence probability evaluation, (2) statistical decoding, (3) structural decoding, (4) topological decoding, and (5) learning. To show the significance of this research, we have applied the concept of THMMs to: (i) predict the ASCII class assigned to a handwritten numeral, and (ii) map protein primary structures to their 3D folds. The results show that the second level THMMs outperform the SHMMs and the multi-class SVM classifiers significantly.  相似文献

TORQUE是一种基于三维图形库OPENGL的仿真引擎。本文通过三维建模软件的引入,实现了仿真系统场景的构建,分析了STL模型的存储特点,设计并实现了STL模型的读入和优化处理,提高了整个系统的三维图形模拟效果和运行效率。借助于多体受力分析工具ADAM,以复杂环境下的行驶车辆为研究对象,构建了受力模型和运动方程,较为客观的描述了机车的运行规律,并分析了各个因素对车辆行驶安全性的影响,为驾驶人员提供了参考,对提高机车行驶安全具有一定的促进作用。  相似文献

圆形洞室开挖后,岩体中形成一个自由空间,使原来处于挤压状态的围岩,由于失去了支撑而发生向洞内松动变形;如果这种变形超过了围岩本身所能承受的能力,则围岩就会发生破坏。本文应用有限差分法数值模拟软件FLAC3D对主、支洞交叉部位的隧洞围岩变形进行模拟分析。模拟结果表明,隧洞开挖后,围岩各部分的位移量较大,围岩应力集中在主、支洞交叉部位。  相似文献
