Based on the comparative review of several approaches to legacy system conversion and revitalization, the Lyee methodology application for the issue is presented to clarify its idea, the associated procedure, and the implemented tools. It could be said that with the tools and manual developed by ICBSM&T, the mechanical transformation of the conventional program to a Lyee-structured one becomes possible as long as the programs are made in a procedure-oriented language. In addition to the program structure conversion, the Lyee methodology permits people to choose any application language in the transformed program. At the same time, quite a new approach related to the system conversion is introduced, in which the chunk of data extracted from an old program is edited to make a new conventional structure program that has a logical sequence instead of a Lyee type of declarative program. These features can be realized through the concept of LyeeBELT, which is a set of word-information about the attributes, formulae, and conditions for an independent data item.

The overall workflow of the legacy program transformation is shown in the following.

A critical part in its implementation is the feasibility study (pre-analysis) stage where necessary information is supposed to be secured, and an appropriate plan and policy about the system to be revitalized in the new system environment should be clarified so as to customize the tools accordingly. If the initial process is completed, the mechanical legacy system conversion will be realized by registering the parameters in the tool, and the reestablishment of business knowledge in the LyeeBELT will be enabled. With the regulated business logic on the LyeeBELT, the program maintenance afterwards becomes drastically simplified and stable without the ‘spaghetti’ problem, so that software evolution can be possible.  相似文献

This paper presents the design and preliminary evaluation of hierarchical partitioning and load-balancing techniques for distributed structured adaptive mesh refinement (SAMR) applications. The overall goal of these techniques is to enable the load distribution to reflect the state of the adaptive grid hierarchy and exploit it to reduce synchronization requirements, improve load-balance, and enable concurrent communications and incremental redistribution. The hierarchical partitioning algorithm (HPA) partitions the computational domain into subdomains and assigns them to hierarchical processor groups. Two variants of HPA are presented in this paper. The static hierarchical partitioning algorithm (SHPA) assigns portions of overall load to processor groups. In SHPA, the group size and the number of processors in each group is setup during initialization and remains unchanged during application execution. It is experimentally shown that SHPA reduces communication costs as compared to the Non-HPA scheme, and reduces overall application execution time by up to 59%. The adaptive hierarchical partitioning algorithm (AHPA) dynamically partitions the processor pool into hierarchical groups that match the structure of the adaptive grid hierarchy. Initial evaluations of AHPA show that it can reduce communication costs by up to 70%.  相似文献

This paper concerns the problem of the delay-dependent robust stability of neutral systems with mixed delays and time-varying structured uncertainties. A new method based on linear matrix inequalities is presented that makes it easy to calculate both the upper stability bounds on the delays and the free weighting matrices. Since the criteria take the sizes of the neutral- and discrete-delays into account, it is less conservative than previous methods. Numerical examples illustrate both the improvement this approach provides over previous methods and the reciprocal influences between the neutral- and discrete-delays.  相似文献

This article considers a structured latent curve model for multiple repeated measures. In a structured latent curve model, a smooth nonlinear function characterizes the mean response. A first-order Taylor polynomial taken with regard to the mean function defines elements of a restricted factor matrix that may include parameters that enter nonlinearly. Similar to factor scores, random coefficients are combined with the factor matrix to produce individual latent curves that need not follow the same form as the mean curve. Here the associations between change characteristics in multiple repeated measures are studied. A factor analysis model for covariates is included as a means of relating latent covariates to the factors characterizing change in different repeated measures. An example is provided. In this paper, a nonlinear minimization approach is proposed for multiobjective and structured controls for discrete‐time systems. The problem of finding multiobjective and structured controls for discrete‐time systems is represented as a quadratic matrix inequality problem. It is shown that the problem is reduced to a nonlinear minimization problem that has a concave objective function and linear matrix inequality constraints. An algorithm for the nonlinear minimization problem is proposed, which is easily implemented with existing semidefinite programming algorithms. The validity of the proposed algorithm is illustrated by comparisons with existing methods. In addition, applications of this work are demonstrated via numerical examples. This paper deals with the problem of delay-dependent robust stability for systems with time-varying structured uncertainties and time-varying delays. Some new delay-dependent stability criteria are devised by taking the relationship between the terms in the Leibniz-Newton formula into account. Since free weighting matrices are used to express this relationship and since appropriate ones are selected by means of linear matrix inequalities, the new criteria are less conservative than existing ones. Numerical examples suggest that the proposed criteria are effective and are an improvement over previous ones.  相似文献

Although conventional electron microscopy (EM) requires samples to be in vacuum, most chemical and physical reactions occur in liquid or gas. The Atmospheric Scanning Electron Microscope (ASEM) can observe dynamic phenomena in liquid or gas under atmospheric pressure in real time. An electron-permeable window made of pressure-resistant 100 nm-thick silicon nitride (SiN) film, set into the bottom of the open ASEM sample dish, allows an electron beam to be projected from underneath the sample. A detector positioned below captures backscattered electrons. Using the ASEM, we observed the radiation-induced self-organization process of particles, as well as phenomena accompanying volume change, including evaporation-induced crystallization. Using the electrochemical ASEM dish, we observed tree-like electrochemical depositions on the cathode. In silver nitrate solution, we observed silver depositions near the cathode forming incidental internal voids. The heated ASEM dish allowed observation of patterns of contrast in melting and solidifying solder. Finally, to demonstrate its applicability for monitoring and control of industrial processes, silver paste and solder paste were examined at high throughput. High resolution, imaging speed, flexibility, adaptability, and ease of use facilitate the observation of previously difficult-to-image phenomena, and make the ASEM applicable to various fields.  相似文献

Manufacturing systems design involves the solution of a complex series of interrelated problems. This complexity will increase in the future as manufacturing practices change to meet increased global competition. Research within manufacturing systems design has mainly been focused on finding improved models for solving particular problems, or extending existing modeling techniques. This has resulted in numerous modeling tools being available to support manufacturing systems design. However, little research work has been carried out into consolidating the existing theories and models. As a result, a large body of this work has not been applied in industry.Model management has evolved as a research area which investigates methods for storing, modifying, and manipulating models. This article describes a prototype model management system for manufacturing systems design. The objective here is not to develop another decision support system for manufacturing design, but to illustrate, through the development of a prototype system, a number of key ideas of how concepts from the area of model management systems can be used to support manufacturing systems design. The prototype model management system utilizes the structured modeling framework and uses an extended version of the structured modeling language. An important aspect of the prototype model management system is the incorporation of the model development task, thus allowing the system to be easily updated and adapted. The prototype system was evaluated using a range of queueing network models for manufacturing systems design.  相似文献
