The tensile behavior of polycarbonate was studied at large strains below the glass‐transition temperature. Experiments were carried out at a series of constant temperatures and also under conditions of falling temperatures. The specimens necked with a natural draw ratio of approximately 2, and the study was mainly focused on the necked material. Isothermal experiments revealed an elastic mechanism that initiated beyond the natural draw ratio. A model consisting of an Eyring process and two Gaussian elastic mechanisms was found to be applicable to both the isothermal and anisothermal stress‐relaxation and stress–strain results. The same model also produced reasonable estimates of the stresses generated during the necking process. The graft copolymerization of acrylamide (AAm) monomer onto polyethylene‐coated polypropylene (PE‐co‐PP) nonwoven fabric was carried out by the mutual irradiation method. The general peculiarities of the grafting have been studied by gravimetric, scanning electron microscope (SEM), mechanical properties, and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) methods. The influence of absorbed dose, dose rate, as well as the monomer concentration on the degree of grafting has been determined. 推压-拉拔复合缩径工艺是管坯减径的新方法,芯轴外表面与管坯内表面之间摩擦系数对工艺有重要的影响。通过建立推压-拉拔复合缩径变形过程中变形管坯的力学模型,分析了芯轴外表面与管坯内表面之间摩擦系数对成形的影响规律。针对某载重6.5 t胀压成形汽车桥壳管件的第一道次推压-拉拔复合缩径,设定不同的芯轴摩擦系数,进行了有限元仿真,得到了芯轴摩擦系数对管坯变形的影响规律,并基于管坯传力区不失稳以及变形所需凹模推力和芯轴拉拔力较小,给出了芯轴摩擦系数的设定范围。进行了缩径实验,实验和有限元模拟的结果接近。较小的芯轴摩擦系数可能造成管坯起皱失稳,而较大的芯轴摩擦系数,有利于降低管坯轴向压应力、凹模推力和芯轴拉拔力,但可能造成管坯表面划伤。 相似文献

A finite element based method for solution of large‐deformation hyperelastic constitutive models is developed, which solves the Cauchy‐stress balance equation using a single rotation of stress from principal directions to a fixed co‐ordinate system. Features of the method include stress computation by central differencing of the hyperelastic energy function, mixed integration‐order incompressibility enforcement, and an iterative solution method that employs notional ‘small strain’ stiffness. The method is applied to an interesting and difficult elastic model that replicates polymer ‘necking’; the method is shown to give good agreement with published results from a well‐established finite element package, and with published experimental results. The pearlitic transformation and the deformation behavior of lamellar cementite after cold rolling in eutectoid steels Fe-0. 76%C-0. 137%Mn (mass fraction) were studied by means of Formastor-F (Full Automatic Transformation Testing Instrument) and field emission scanning electronic microscopy (FESEM) observation. Fine and coarse pearlite were obtained in the eutectoid steels austenitized at 900℃ for 15min, then hold at 620℃ for 90 s and 690℃ for 7 h, respectively. Thedeformation behavior of cold rolled lamellar cementite could be classified as: cleavage fracture, inhomogeneous slip, fragmentation, thinning or necking, and homogeneous bending.
