Carbon dioxide has been previously identified as a critical volatile factor that stimulates hyphal growth ofGigaspora margarita, a vesiculararbuscular mycorrhizal fungus, and we determined the optimal concentration at 2.0%. The beneficial effect of CO2 on fungal development is also visible in the presence of stimulatory (quercetin, myricetin) or inhibitory (naringenin) flavonoids. Sterile root exudates from carrot seedlings stimulate the hyphal development ofG. margarita in the presence of optimal CO2 enrichment. Three flavonols (quercetin, kaempferol, rutin or quercetin 3-rutinoside) and two flavones (apigenin, luteolin) were identified in carrot root exudates by means of HPLC retention time. Flavonols like quercetin and kaempferol are known to have stimulatory effects on hyphal growth ofG. margarita. 相似文献

研究在污染条件下小麦对重金属胁迫的反应,为农业生产中早期诊断重金属污染提供一些依据。用Cr3+、Pb2+及Cr3+、Pb2+混合溶液的各种浓度溶液处理小麦,研究Cr3+、Pb2+及Cr3+、Pb2+混合溶液对小麦萌发和脯氨酸含量的影响。结果表明:在Pb2+的培养环境中,各个浓度下的发芽率相差不多;在Cr3+的培养环境中,小麦的发芽率随着浓度的增加呈下降趋势,浓度越大对小麦发芽率的抑制作用越明显;在Cr3+、Pb2+混合的培养环境中,各个浓度下的发芽率随浓度的增加而呈降低的趋势,并且各个浓度下发芽率基本都相对低于相同浓度下的单一Cr3+、Pb2+的发芽率。在低浓度的重金属离子中,游离脯氨酸的含量与重金属离子浓度呈正相关。 相似文献

在水培条件下,研究了营养液低氧胁迫对网纹甜瓜幼苗生长指标、光合作用和生理代谢物质含量的影响。结果表明,低氧处理显著抑制了幼苗的生长,鲜重、干重等生长指标和叶绿素含量、净光合速率等光合指标均显著降低;低氧胁迫诱导幼苗不定根和根系活力显著增加;低氧胁迫下幼苗MDA、H2O2含量显著增加,但是幼苗体内可溶性糖、氨基酸、游离态多胺和热稳定蛋白含量也显著提高。与西域一号相比,星光生长较快,较高的光合速率、根系活力和生理代谢物质含量,缓解了低氧胁迫对幼苗的伤害。 相似文献

Drought Stress Alters the Concentration of Wood Terpenoids in Scots Pine and Norway Spruce Seedlings 总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
Drought is known to have an impact on the resistance of conifers to various pests, for example, by affecting resin flow in trees. Little is known, however, about the quantitative and qualitative changes in resin when trees are growing in low moisture conditions. We exposed Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) and Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) seedlings to medium and severe drought stress for two growing seasons and analyzed the monoterpenes and resin acids in the main stem wood after two years of treatment. In addition to secondary chemistry, we measured the level of nutrients in the needles and the growth response of seedlings. After the first year of treatment, drought stress did not affect the growth of seedlings, but in the second year, shoot growth was retarded, especially in Scots pine. In both conifer species, severe drought increased the concentrations of several individual monoterpenes and resin acids. Total monoterpenes and resin acids were 39 and 32% higher in severe drought-treated Scots pine seedlings than in the controls, and 35 and 45% higher in Norway spruce seedlings. In Scots pine needles, the concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus increased, while magnesium and calcium decreased compared to controls. In Norway spruce needles, nutrient concentrations were not affected. The results suggest that drought stress substantially affects both the growth of conifers and the chemical quality of the wood. We discuss the potential trade-off in growth and defense of small conifer seedlings. 相似文献

通过对甜樱桃的嫁接苗(早红宝石/大窝娄叶)和组培苗(早红宝石)的枝条以及根系电导率的测定,计算伤害率,并结合生长法,评价两种苗木抗寒力水平。试验证明:嫁接苗和组培苗枝条-22℃左右达到半致死温度。嫁接苗和组培苗根系-9℃左右达到半致死温度。初步可以认为,组培苗与嫁接苗有相近的抗寒力水平、经过深入试验实践,组培繁苗可以考虑在嫁接苗栽培区推广应用。 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Oral therapy with phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL), naturally encapsulated in plant cells, may provide a potential alternative treatment for hyperphenylalaninemic patients, including those with phenylketonuria. Therefore different sources of plant tissue were investigated for PAL activity. RESULTS: Enzyme activity was highest in grain seedlings, with maximal enzyme activity in 7‐day‐old red spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) seedlings. The PAL activities of leaves and roots/endosperm of wheat seedlings were 11.90 ± 2.64 and 6.48 ± 1.59 µmol h?1 g?1 dry weight respectively. Three PAL‐related polypeptides with molecular weights of 74, 83 and 103 kDa were identified in wheat seedling leaf tissues, while only the 74 kDa polypeptide was detected in root/endosperm tissues. Dehydration was investigated as a method of concentrating PAL in wheat seedlings. Freeze‐drying was found to retain the most PAL activity (>90% recovery on a dry weight basis) compared with air drying and vacuum microwave drying for both leaf and root/endosperm samples. CONCLUSION: This study has led to a better understanding of PAL activity and stability in plant tissues and provides the basis for developing a natural plant preparation as a dietary supplement for the treatment of hyperphenylalaninemia.
