More than 160 arginine analogues modified on the C-terminus via either an amide bond or a heterocyclic moiety (1,2,4-oxadiazole, 1,3,4-oxadiazole and 1,2,4-triazole) were prepared as potential inhibitors of NO synthases (NOS). A methodology involving formation of a thiocitrulline intermediate linked through its side-chain on a solid support followed by modification of its carboxylate group was developed. Finally, the side-chain thiourea group was either let unchanged, S-alkylated (Me, Et) or guanidinylated (Me, Et) to yield respectively after TFA treatment the corresponding thiocitrulline, S-Me/Et-isothiocitrulline and N-Me/Et-arginine substrate analogues. They all were tested against three recombinant NOS isoforms. Several compounds containing a S-Et- or a S-Me-Itc moiety and mainly belonging to both the dipeptide-like and 1,2,4-oxadiazole series were shown to inhibit nNOS and iNOS with IC50 in the 1–50 μM range. Spectral studies confirmed that these new compounds interacted at the heme active site. The more active compounds were found to inhibit intra-cellular iNOS expressed in RAW264.7 and INS-1 cells with similar efficiency than the reference compounds L-NIL and SEIT.  相似文献

In this paper, we present new adaptive algorithms for the computation of the square root of the inverse covariance matrix. In contrast to the current similar methods, these new algorithms are obtained from an explicit cost function that is introduced for the first time. The new adaptive algorithms are used in a cascade form with a well-known adaptive principal component analysis to construct linear discriminant features. The adaptive nature and fast convergence rate of the new adaptive linear discriminant analysis algorithms make them appropriate for online pattern recognition applications. All adaptive algorithms discussed in this paper are trained simultaneously using a sequence of random data. Experimental results using the synthetic and real multiclass, multidimensional input data demonstrate the effectiveness of the new adaptive algorithms to extract the optimal features for the purpose of classification.  相似文献

Soybean variety and storage effects on soymilk flavour and quality   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Soymilk prepared from five soybean cultivars, grown in Ontario, were analysed for protein, oil, mineral composition, viscosity, colour, lipoxygenase (LOX) activities and flavour profile. Among the five soybean cultivars, the Vinton 81 variety contained the highest protein and the lowest fat. The yield of soymilk from all five cultivars was similar. Major differences were observed in viscosity and in the composition of both the soymilk and the okara. Higher protein and fat extractability was found in soymilk made from S08‐80 and Vinton 81 varieties. Their okara protein contents were also among the highest. Minimum extractability was observed with S03W4 cultivar. Soymilk made from S 03W4 and Vinton 81 cultivars had the whitest colour (lowest ΔE values). Viscosity values were the highest for S08‐80, FG1 and S20‐20 varieties. Headspace solid‐phase microextraction gas chromatography was used to analyse volatile compounds in soymilk. A total of fourteen volatiles were identified, among which aldehydes and their corresponding alcohols were the major compounds. Similar volatile compounds were identified in all the samples analysed but at different concentrations. The highest LOX activity was observed in the Vinton 81 and S20‐20 soybean cultivars, which had the highest total volatile and hexanal contents. A positive correlation (correlation coefficient = 0.82) between enzymatic activity and the total volatiles was observed. Vinton 81 cultivar was subjected to storage (at 18 °C and 50% relative humidity) for a period of 10 months. Soymilk was prepared at different times during storage. The results showed that the soymilk colour, LOX and total volatiles were significantly (P < 0.05) affected by the storage of the soybeans over time.  相似文献

The Recent decades have witnessed intensive efforts from operators to implement methods enabling better control over network utilization, service usage, and service monetization. Nevertheless, they report significant growth in Diameter signaling traffic, especially policy management signaling traffic. More specifically, operators offering long term evolution (LTE) data-only services and planning for a massive introduction of voice over LTE (VoLTE) and voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) services need to tackle the enormous growth in Diameter signaling traffic. The biggest challenge for those operators is to find an appropriate solution, scalable enough to handle the unpredictable growth of Diameter signaling traffic; as the VoLTE and VoWiFi services will reshape the landscape of LTE policies. Throughout this paper, we propose a network function virtualization (NFV) based model, mature enough to tackle the challenges of those operators planning to launch VoLTE and VoWiFi, without impacting existing services and without jeopardizing current revenues. In our approach we first used standard VoLTE and VoWiFi message flow and referenced users’ behavior; then we considered NFV architecture characteristics. We finally referred to the latest experiments and test results related to NFV maturity cycle.  相似文献

Background: The site-specific delivery of drugs to the colon can be highly advantageous for various applications, including the local treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases. The aim of this study was to provide efficient tools that can be used to easily adjust the key properties of novel polymeric film coatings allowing for colon targeting. Methods: Free films based on blends of ethylcellulose and different types of starch derivatives (partially being pregelatinized, acetylated, and/or hydroxypropylated) were prepared and characterized. Results: The key properties of the polymeric systems can effectively be adjusted by varying the polymer blend ratio and type of starch derivative. This includes the water uptake and dry mass loss kinetics as well as the mechanical properties of the films before and upon exposure to aqueous media simulating the contents of the upper GIT. Conclusion: Broad ranges of film coating properties can easily be provided, being adapted to the needs of the respective drug treatment.  相似文献

Five nanocomposite samples containing different percentages of carbonated hydroxyapatite (CHA), selenium dioxide (SeO2) and inert glass (IG) have been prepared using high-energy ball milling method with the aim of improving the in vitro bioactivity of these nanocomposites. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy along with X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique was applied on both nanopowders and the sintered nanocomposites to record the structural changes and examine the resultant sintered phases. Mechanical properties were measured by ultrasonic non-destructive technique. In order to assess the bioactivity of the sintered specimens, they were soaked in simulated body fluid for 14 days and then, they were investigated by FTIR and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Both FTIR and XRD spectra showed that the glasses encouraged the partial HA decomposition to tricalcium phosphate (TCP) and calcium silicate (CaSiO3) phases. The formation of the latter phase along with the remainder HA contents was responsible for good bioactivity and appropriate mechanical properties of the investigated nanocomposites. The successive addition of selenium dioxide to these nanocomposites led to further improvement of their bioactivity without any recorded changes in the mechanical properties. Based on the abovementioned results, the prepared nanocomposites can be used in various tissue-engineering applications.  相似文献

Compressive sensing involves 3 main processes: signal sparse representation, linear encoding or measurement collection, and nonlinear decoding or sparse recovery. In the measurement process, a measurement matrix is used to sample only the components that best represent the signal. The choice of the measurement matrix has an important impact on the accuracy and the processing time of the sparse recovery process. Hence, the design of accurate measurement matrices is of vital importance in compressive sensing. Over the last decade, a number of measurement matrices have been proposed. Therefore, a detailed review of these measurement matrices and a comparison of their performances are strongly needed. This paper explains the foundation of compressive sensing and highlights the process of measurement by reviewing the existing measurement matrices. It provides a 3‐level classification and compares the performance of 8 measurement matrices belonging to 4 different types using 5 evaluation metrics: the recovery error, processing time, recovery time, covariance, and phase transition diagram. The theoretical performance comparison is validated with experimental results, and the results show that the Circulant, Toeplitz, and Hadamard matrices outperform the other measurement matrices.  相似文献

Molecular Landers are a class of compounds containing an aromatic board as well as bulky side groups which upon adsorption of the molecule on a surface may lift the molecular board away from the substrate. Different molecular Landers have extensively been studied as model systems for nanomachines and the formation of molecular wires, as well as for their function as “molecular moulds”, i.e., acting as templates by accommodating metal atoms underneath their aromatic board. Here, we investigate the adsorption of a novel Lander molecule 1,4-bis(4-(2,4-diaminotriazine)phenyl)-2,3,5,6-tetrakis(4-tert-butylphenyl)benzene (DAT, C64H68N10) on Cu(110) and Au(111) surfaces under ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) conditions. By means of scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) imaging and manipulation, we characterize the morphology and binding geometries of DAT molecules at terraces and step edges. On the Cu(110) surface, various contact configurations of individual DAT Landers were formed at the step edges in a controlled manner, steered by STM manipulation, including lateral translation, rotation, and pushing molecules to an upper terrace. The diffusion barrier of single DAT molecules on Au(111) is considerably smaller than on Cu(110). The DAT Lander is specially designed with diamino-triazine side groups making it suitable for future studies of molecular self-assembly by hydrogen-bonding interactions. The results presented here are an important guide to the choice of substrate for future studies using this compound.
