Activities of NiO were measured in the oxide and spinel solutions of the system MnO–NiO–Al2O3 at 1300° and 1400° C with the aim of deriving information on the thermodynamic properties of the spinel phases. Synthetic samples in selected phase assemblages of the system were equilibrated with metallic nickel and a gas phase of known oxygen partial pressures at a total pressure of 1 atm. The data on NiO activities and directions of conjugation lines between coexisting oxide and spinel phases were used to establish the activity–composition relations in spinel solid solutions at 1300° and 1400°C. The MnAl2O4–NiAl2O4 solid solutions exhibit considerable negative deviations from ideality at these temperatures. The free energy of formation of MnAl2O4 from its oxide components (MnO + Al2O3) at 1300° and 1400°C is calculated to be −24.97 and −26.56 kJ. mol−1, respectively. The activities determined in the stoichiometric spinel solid solutions are more negative as compared with those predicted from cation distribution models.  相似文献

Moments and functions of moments have been extensively employed as invariant global features of images in pattern recognition. In this study, a flexible recognition system that can compute the good features for high classification of 3-D real objects is investigated. For object recognition, regardless of orientation, size and position, feature vectors are computed with the help of nonlinear moment invariant functions. Representations of objects using two-dimensional images that are taken from different angles of view are the main features leading us to our objective. Temperature dependent current‐voltage (I–V) measurements of Au/Polyvinyl Alcohol + Bi2O3/n‐Si structure were conducted between 100 and 350 K for investigating the temperature dependence of I–V characteristics and current conduction mechanisms in the structure. Series resistance of the structure is calculated using Ohm's law and Cheungs' method. Ideality factor (n) and zero‐bias barrier height (ΦBo) were obtained considering thermionic emission theory. From 100 to 350 K, n changed from 32.1 to 3.54, and ΦBo changed from 0.27 to 0.99 eV. Obtained temperature dependent values of n and ΦBo suggested that thermionic emission is not the dominant current conduction mechanism. Therefore, Ln(I)–Ln(V) curves of the studied structure were plotted for investigating current conduction mechanisms in the structure and current flow is explained considering space charge limited current. Moreover, density of interface states (Dit) in the structure were calculated and its temperature dependence was investigated such that Dit values are reduced to the order of ~1013 eV?1 cm?2 from ~1014 eV?1 cm?2 with increasing temperature. Pb0.94Sr0.05La0.01(Zr0.54Ti0.46)0.9975O3–Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PSLZT–PMnN) ceramics with pure perovskite structure were prepared by conventional mixed oxide method. The influence of PMnN on the structural, dielectric and piezoelectric properties was investigated. The experimental results showed that the perovskite structure changed from tetragonal to rhombohedral symmetry and the Curie temperature decreased gradually with the increase of PMnN. The composition with 3 mol% PMnN exhibited favorable properties of Qm (400), d33(660 pC/N), kp (0.60), KT (1940), tan δ (0.90%) and TC (247 °C), exhibiting potential usage for piezoelectric actuator and sensor applications.  相似文献

Bing cherries were coated with sodium caseinate‐ or milk protein concentrate‐based edible coatings. Besides the proteins (100 g kg?1), the coating formulations also included glycerol (about 300 g kg?1 protein) and either beeswax or a stearic–palmitic acid blend at a concentration of 0, 100 or 300 g lipid phase kg?1 of protein. All coatings, especially those containing 300 g kg?1 stearic–palmitic acid blend, successfully reduced water loss of the fruits. The edible coatings had a beneficial effect on the sensory quality of the cherries, and there were significant (p < 0.05) effects of the coating treatments on soluble solids, titratable acidity and pH. BACKGROUND: The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of mancozeb degradation in tomato homogenates under the conditions prevailing in the manufacture of tomato products (at 60–100 °C for 0–60 min) were investigated. A gas chromatography–mass spectrometry method was used to analyse residual mancozeb in tomato homogenate. Ethylenethiourea (ETU), the main toxic degradation product of mancozeb, was measured by high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)–with photodiode array detector (PDA). RESULTS: The degradation of mancozeb and the formation of ETU in tomato homogenates were adequately described as first‐order kinetics. Dependence of the rate constant followed the Arrhenius relationship. Apparent activation energies, temperature coefficients, half time and time to reduce to 90% of the initial value of mancozeb were calculated as kinetic parameters. The thermodynamic parameters of mancozeb were also described as Δgd = ? 2.440 and 7.074 kJ mol?1; Δhd = ? 32.555 and ? 42.767 kJ mol?1; Δsd = ? 0.090 and ? 0.150 kJ mol?1 K?1; Ke = 0.414 and 9.797 L g?1 for 333 and 373 K respectively. CONCLUSION: Current findings may shed light on the reduction of mancozeb residue and its toxic degradation product during thermal processing of tomatoes and may also be valuable in awareness and prevention of potential risks from dietary exposure. Significant efforts have recently been made to improve the physical properties of starch foams formed using baking processes. For example, cross-linking starch with 0.126 g/kg glyoxal considerably reduces the baking time, density and water absorption of starch foams. In this study, we attempted to further develop the physical properties of glyoxal cross-linked starch foam by adding corn husk fibre, kaolin, beeswax and combinations of these products. We also studied the effects of these components on the microstructure and physicochemical and mechanical properties of trays. Starch-based trays in which additives were used showed improved water resistance. The water absorption capacities of the trays were 13%, 14% and 9% when combinations of kaolin/beeswax, fibre/beeswax and fibre/kaolin/beeswax were added, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, a new design of microstrip power limiter which is based on microstrip technology and zero bias Schottky diode is introduced. In this context, the FR‐4 substrate that was characterized by dielectric permittivity (4.4), dielectric thickness (1.6 mm), and the HSMS 286k Schottky diode is used to design the proposed power limiter. The planar resonators are designed, optimized, and simulated with the shunting of the HSMS 286k diodes by using Schematic solver integrated in ADS from Agilent Technologies. The simulation results are significant in terms of high impedance matching, strong insertion of the low power, and good limitation ratio of the high power. The proposed power limiter is fabricated and tested in the measurement part. It is observed that the results are in agreement with the numerical analysis in terms of matching, isolation, and power limitation. The achieved microwave power limiter offers simple construction, small size (44 × 40 mm2), wide bandwidth, and good limitation ratio less than 10 dBm when the input power reaches 30 dBm.  相似文献
