Feature tracking and matching in video using programmable graphics hardware   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
This paper describes novel implementations of the KLT feature tracking and SIFT feature extraction algorithms that run on the graphics processing unit (GPU) and is suitable for video analysis in real-time vision systems. While significant acceleration over standard CPU implementations is obtained by exploiting parallelism provided by modern programmable graphics hardware, the CPU is freed up to run other computations in parallel. Our GPU-based KLT implementation tracks about a thousand features in real-time at 30 Hz on 1,024 × 768 resolution video which is a 20 times improvement over the CPU. The GPU-based SIFT implementation extracts about 800 features from 640 × 480 video at 10 Hz which is approximately 10 times faster than an optimized CPU implementation.  相似文献

We introduce a linear algorithm to recover the Euclidean motion between an orthographic and two perspective cameras from straight line correspondences filling the gap in the analysis of motion estimation from line correspondences for various projection models. The general relationship between lines in three views is described by the trifocal tensor. Euclidean structure from motion for three perspective views is a special case in which the relationship is defined by a collection of three matrices. Here, we describe the case of two calibrated perspective views and an orthographic view. Similar to the other cases, our linear algorithm requires 13 or more line correspondences to recover 27 coefficients of the trifocal tensor.  相似文献

Turbidity and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiencies were analyzed depending on electrode layouts by performing electrocoagulation experiments using horizontal and vertical electrochemical cells. Multiple aluminum plate electrodes were placed into different sections of the electrochemical cells. Removal efficiencies at the horizontal electrochemical cell were always higher than the one’s obtained from the vertical electrochemical cell. But the use of vertical electrochemical cell consumed less energy during the electrocoagulation tests. The highest COD removal efficiencies were 97% and 88% in the horizontal and vertical electrochemical cells, respectively. However, the energy consumption for COD removal in the horizontal electrochemical cell was 47% higher than the energy consumed in the vertical electrochemical cell.  相似文献

Information on the mechanical properties and repairability of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) blocks is scarce. Five CAD/CAM blocks with similar indications were evaluated, including four resin nanoceramics, one polymer-infiltrated ceramic network (PICN), and one feldspathic ceramic. CAD/CAM blocks were sectioned into 4 mm × 1.2 mm × 13 mm bars for flexural strength (FS), and 4 mm thick blocks were prepared for elastic modulus (EM), nanohardness (NH), and microshear bond strength (µSBS) testing. FS of the CAD/CAM blocks was determined using a three-point bending test, whereas EM and NH values were measured using a nanoindenter. The reparability of the tested block materials was determined by the µSBS test. One-way ANOVA was conducted for FS, EM, NH, and µSBS followed by Tukey's pairwise comparison (α < 0.05). FS ranged from 115 to 207 MPa, EM from 8.21 to 44 GPa, NH from 0.76 to 7.24, and µSBS from 24.9 to 30.6 MPa. The findings of the present study revealed that resin nanoceramic blocks exhibited higher FS values than PICN and feldspathic ceramic, and they have acceptable mechanical properties for the fabrication of single-unit restorations according to the ISO 6872:2008. Furthermore, all CAD/CAM blocks tested can be successfully repaired regarding their recommended repair protocol.  相似文献

We apply absolute beta convergence techniques to cross sectional per capita income data for alternative specifications of U.S. regions in order to detect whether U.S. regional growth rates are converging over relatively recent time periods. We also explore whether estimates of convergence differ between economic and political region specifications. We show that convergence of growth rates across regions of the U.S. has continued in modern times (1969–1997) for almost any regional specification and for all time frames considered. We do find, however, some difference in convergence rates between economic and political regions. Convergence coefficients, however, are remarkably similar across alternative economic region specifications. A modified electroless metal deposition method has been developed for copper plating of polystyrene (PS) surfaces. The modified procedure avoids the plasma conditioning and surface activation steps in the classical electroless metal plating process.First step of the present procedure is chlorosulfonation of PS surface by soaking into chlorosulfonic acid, yielding chlorosulfonated surface with density of 0.046-0.110 mmolcm− 2 depending on contact time (10-60 min).In the second step chlorosulfone groups on the surface are converted to sulfonyl hydrazides almost quantitatively by reaction with hydrazine solution (80%). Green Cu (II)-sulfonylhydrazide complex is formed at the surface, in the third step, by interaction with ammoniacle Cu (II) solution at room temperature. The copper in the complex is reduced rapidly in the fourth step, by immersing the specimen into 5% of hydrazine solution. The elemental copper deposited onto the surface serves activating sites to accumulate more (5-7 mg per cm2) elemental copper from electroless copper solutions in the final step. The present method avoids the surface activation with palladium and allows preparing copper patterns with reasonably high pull-off strengths (3.77 Nmm− 2) on PS panels.In the study the copper deposition has been investigated using standard analytical procedures, X-ray photoelectron spectrometry (XPS) and Scanning Electron Microscopy.  相似文献

The synthesis was performed by the electropolymerization of thiophene on a poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS)‐coated platinum electrode at 2.2 V with tetrabutylammoniumtetrafloroborate (TBAFB) as a supporting electrolyte and with acetonitrile as a solvent. The characterization of the PDMS–polythiophene (Pth) composites was carried out with cyclic voltammetry, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis, and conductivity measurements. The observed conductivities of the PDMS composites were 2.2–5.2 S/cm. The conductivity of Pth did not change appreciably with the addition of up to 30% insulating PDMS, but its processability improved. FTIR, SEM, and DSC studies showed the existence of a strong interaction, rather than physical adhesion, between PDMS and Pth. A series of UV-cured organic–inorganic hybrid coating materials containing up to 20 wt.% silica were prepared by sol–gel method from tetraethoxy silane (TEOS) which is used as the primary inorganic precursor, and diallylphenylphosphine oxide monomer (DAPPO), aliphatic urethane diacrylate resin (Ebecryl 210) are employed as the source of the organic components. In addition, methacryloxypropyltrimethoxy silane (MAPTMS) was used as both a secondary inorganic source and a silane-coupling agent to improve the compatibility of the organic and inorganic phases. The DAPPO content in all the coating formulations were from 0 to 20 wt.%. The physical and mechanical properties such as gel content, hardness, adhesion, gloss, contact angle as well as tensile strength were measured. These measurements revealed that all the properties of the hybrid coatings improved effectively, in case of adding the sol–gel precursor and DAPPO monomer content in the hybrid systems. The photo-calorimetric-DSC studies showed that the double bond conversion of the hybrid coatings was faster than the coating materials without silica. The thermal stabilities of the UV-cured hybrid materials were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that the addition of sol–gel precursor and DAPPO into the organic network also improves the thermal-oxidative stability of the hybrid coating materials. The surface morphology was also characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). SEM studies indicated that inorganic particles were dispersed homogenously throughout the organic matrix.  相似文献

Multihop wireless systems have the potential to offer improved coverage and capacity over single-hop radio access systems. Standards development organizations are considering how to incorporate such techniques into new standards. One such initiative is the IEEE 802.16j standardization activity, adding relay capabilities to IEEE 802.16 systems. This article provides an overview of this relay-based technology, focusing on some of the most pertinent aspects. In particular, the different modes of operation (transparent and non-transparent), framing structures, and network entry procedures are described. Some consideration of the issues in designing such systems is then given, which highlights when different features within the standard are most appropriate. As these systems are very new, many open issues remain to be resolved.  相似文献
