Hybrid control method of the voltage of a permanent magnetic generator

A new method for the parametric stabilization of the AC output voltage of permanent magnetic generators (PMGs) is presented, the method is investigated, and its availability is shown. The research results were derived using the numerical methods by computer simulation with the Ansoft Maxwell software package. The core of the developed method is that the magnetic conductor of the generator stator at the design stage is made with such geometrical dimensions that its saturation is reached when the generator is idling. The artificial saturation of the magnetic conductor is carried out up to the value of magnetic induction at which the generator’s idling voltage is close to the rated value, due to the increased magnetomotive force (MMF) in the back of the stator and decreased MMF in the air gap. When connecting the load to the generator the MMF in the back of the stator decreases under the action of the magnetic field of the anchor and thus the PMG output voltage is stabilized.     

Neural-network simulation of diesel operation under a nonsteady load

The operation of diesel engines with nonsteady loads is considered. Numerical experiments are based on a model, a neural network, and test-bench data.     

Thermohydrodynamic investigations of horizontal oil wells

A method is developed for interpretation of the temperature variation curves obtained simultaneously by means of several deep-laid measuring devices located at different sites of a horizontal part of an oil well. The method enables one to estimate the filtration parameters of a nonuniform oil reservoir and to plot the inflow profile along the horizontal wellbore.     

Interpretation of the results of thermohydrodynamic studies of vertical wells that operate on multibed deposits

A mathematical model for describing thermohydrodynamic processes in a “vertical well-multibed deposit” system was developed. A method for determining the filtration and thermophysical parameters of a multibed deposit and flow rates of interlayers is proposed. The curves of changes in the bottomhole temperature in a vertical borehole that were measured after its startup are used as the initial information.     

Estimation of the Filtration Parameters of a Bed by the Data of Nonstationary Inflow of Liquid to Vertical Wells

Numerical algorithms based on the theory of illposed problems are suggested for estimation of the filtration parameters of a bed using the results of hydrodynamic studies of vertical wells. These algorithms allow determination of the coefficients of compressibility, efficiency, and hydraulic conductivity of the critical and distant zones and interpretation of the results of the hydrodynamic studies with account for the dependence of the filtration parameters on pressure.
