A multipath structure of a ring resonator is proposed to expand the free spectral range. Simulation work indicates that the multipath ring resonator has 25 GHz-adjacent-channel crosstalk of -41 dB, maximum interchannel crosstalk of -18 dB, and -1 dB bandwidth of 4 GHz for a typical expansion factor of 10. The results show the advantages of characteristics compared with a double-cavity ring resonator and a triple-coupler ring resonator.  相似文献

We demonstrate endless polarization stabilization with a control speed of up to 9 krad/s, over random Poincare sphere trajectories. These are in total >35 Mrad long, are composed in particular of difficult-to-track circles with all radii and orientations, and thereby include all possible worst cases. The maximum polarization mismatch and relative intensity errors are 0.13 rad and 0.43%, respectively. The controller runs on a field-programmable gate array and uses a commercial multistage LiNbO3 polarization transformer as the control device.  相似文献

The clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic features of two main disorders of the orbit are discussed. Group I, Langerhans cell histiocytosis (histiocytosis X, Class I), is caused by proliferation of X histiocytic Langerhans' cells. Group II is juvenile xanthogranuloma, and Class II is related to the proliferation of non-X histiocytic (monocyte-macrophage) cells. The two diseases are of unknown cause and differ in their clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic features.  相似文献

The non-isothermal gas-solid flow through a U-bend of a pneumatic conveying dryer system is calculated using the commercial CFD program Fluent 6.1. Steady-state, incompressible and non-isothermal gas-solid flows are employed to simulate the cases. Variables studied include: particle diameter, particle density, solid loading ratio, feed gas temperature, heat flux through the wall, gas velocity and bend radius ratio on heat transfer phenomena between gas and solid particles. Validation is done by comparing calculation results with the available experimental data provided by Baughn et al. [J.W. Baughn, H. Iacovides, D.C. Jackson, B.E. Launder, Local heat transfer measurements in turbulent flow around a 180° pipe bend, Journal of Heat Transfer 109 (1) (1987) 43-48] and Depew and Farbar [C.A. Depew, L. Farbar, Heat transfer to pneumatically conveyed glass particles of fixed size, Journal of Heat Transfer 85 (1963) 164-172].In general, data validations of both cases show good agreement. The gas temperature decreases and the solid temperature increases along the axial direction of the pipe due to transfer of heat from the gas phase to the solid phase. The gas temperature decreases significantly at the outer bend wall due to an accumulation of particles, which causes much more energy to be transferred from the gas to solid phases. At the inner bend wall, the gas temperature decreases slightly but the solid temperature increases significantly due to a low concentration of particles. A U-bend significantly increases the local and area average Nu numbers, but not the mass average Nu number. The slip velocity and particle distribution are the major factors influencing the value of the mass average Nu number.  相似文献

Implementation of genetic algorithm in a PIC32MX microcontroller-based polarization control system is proposed and demonstrated. The controller measures the signal intensity that is used to estimate the genetic value. This process is controlled by the genetic algorithm rather than referring to the Look-Up-Table as implemented in existing solutions. To reach optimum performance, the code is optimized by using the best genetic parameters so that the fastest execution time can be achieved. An ability of genetic algorithm to work efficiently in polarization control system possesses many advantages including easy code construction, low memory consumption and fast control speed. Genetic algorithm is intelligent enough to be used for endless polarization stabilization and in the worst case, able to stabilize the polarization changes in 300 μs. Ferrous calcium silicate slags, whose principal components are “FeO x ”-CaO-SiO2, are widely used in copper smelting and converting operations. In the current study, high-temperature equilibration and rapid quenching techniques were used to study the phase equilibria of the ferrous calcium silicate slags. The compositions of phases in the slags were measured accurately using electron probe X-ray microanalysis (EPMA). The phase equilibria of the system have been characterized at oxygen partial pressures between 10−5 atm and 10−7 atm at selected temperatures between 1473 K and 1623 K (1200 °C and 1350 °C). The effects of oxygen partial pressure and temperature on the compositions of phases in the slags are presented.  相似文献

Farmyard manure (FYM-BC) and poultry manure (PM-BC) derived biochars were applied as adsorbents to remove Cd2+ from water. Results indicated that PM-BC was a more efficient adsorbent than FYM-BC at all experimental conditions. Maximum Cd2+ adsorption was observed at pH 4, temperature 318 K and contact time 1 h, regardless of biochar type. The Langmuir model predicted maximum adsorption capacity of 90.09 mg g?1 for PM-BC. The data fitting to pseudo-second-order model proposed chemisorption of Cd2+ onto biochars. Thermodynamics indicated that adsorption was spontaneous and endothermic. Post-adsorption analysis provided evidences of strong chemical interactions between biochars’ functional groups and Cd2+ ions.  相似文献

2/spl times/40 Gbit/s RZ-DQPSK transmission over a 263 km fibre link with back-to-back receiver sensitivity of -27.5 dBm and Q factor >20 dB is demonstrated. Fibers are increasingly in demand for a wide range of polymer composite materials. This study's purpose was the development of oil palm fiber (OPF) mixed with the thermoplastic material acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) as a composite filament for fused deposition modeling (FDM). The mechanical properties of this composite filament were then analyzed. OPF is a fiber extracted from empty fruit bunches, which has proved to be an excellent raw material for biocomposites. The cellulose content of OPF is 43%-65%, and the lignin content is 13%-25%. The composite filament consists of OPF (5%, mass fraction) in the ABS matrix. The fabrication procedure included alkalinizing, drying, and crushing the OPF to develop the composite. The OPF/ABS materials were prepared and completely blended to acquire a mix of 250 g of the material for the composition. Next, the FLD25 filament extrusion machine was used to form the OPF/ABS composite into a wire. This composite filament then was used in an FDM-based 3D printer to print the specimens. Finally, the printed specimens were tested for mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural strength. The results show that the presence of OPF had increased the tensile strength and modulus elasticity by approximately 1.9% and 1.05%, respectively. However, the flexural strength of the OPF/ABS composite had decreased by 90.6% compared with the virgin ABS.
