Methods for accelerating molding of large-sized thick-walled (d w = 16 – 20 mm) articles based on aqueous slip of inorganic materials (namely, quartz glass and lithium-aluminosilicate glass) are analyzed. The most promising is the method of electrophoretic molding of ceramics that shows good results in molding articles from quartz glass slip. The possibility of applying this method to ceramics based on lithium-aluminosilicate glass is yet to be investigated. The choice of material and design for the electrodes is another subject for investigation, since the authors have encountered the problem of articles sticking to the electrode surfaces. 相似文献

Conclusions A decisive influence is exerted on the resistance of the lining of a rotary kiln by the skin. For the formation of a protective layer (skin) it is necessary to select fractions of burnt dolomite so that only the finest parts (up to 10 mm) are subjected to strong sintering and attachment to the working surface of the lining. It is shown, based on the available evidence, that the heating and cooling rates in the heat-treatment regimes of quartz ceramics and its commercial products are of minor importance for the properties of the material and are limited only by the process equipment potentialities. Still, the use of higher heating and cooling rates makes the production of quartz ceramics more cost-effective. 相似文献
