Differently than in the past, today environmental problems have local, national and international concern. The environmental problems in the Black Sea region are a good example for this phenomenon. These problems have affected all six countries that have shores with the Black Sea. The current study analyses these problems in detail. It intends to detect potential reasons for problems and provide suggestions to solve these problems by considering the economic dimensions. In addition, the impact of problems on the city life is examined. Also, the roles and importance of voluntary organizations on solving environmental problems are emphasized.  相似文献

In this paper, modeling and optimization of Al2O3–water nanofluid flow in horizontal flat tubes is performed using a combination of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and response surface methodology (RSM). At first, nanofluid flow is solved numerically in various flat tubes using CFD techniques and the heat transfer coefficient () and pressure drop () in tubes are calculated. The numerical simulations are performed using two phase mixture model by FORTRAN programming language. The flow regime and the wall boundary conditions are assumed to be laminar and constant heat flux respectively. In the second step, numerical data of the previous step will be used for a parametric study, modeling and optimization of nanofluid flow in flat tubes using the RSM technique.It is shown that the results include important design information on nanofluid parameters in flat tubes. The important design information about the relationship between design variables and responses will not be achieved without the simultaneous use of CFD and optimization approaches.  相似文献

(Low‐density polyethylene) (LDPE)/clay nanocomposites were prepared by melt blending in a twin‐screw extruder by using different mixing methods. Zinc‐neutralized carboxylate ionomer was used as a compatibilizer. Blown films of the nanocomposites were then prepared. The effect of mixing method on the clay dispersion and properties of the nanocomposites was evaluated by wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction analysis, mechanical properties, thermal properties, and barrier properties. The structure and properties of nanocomposites containing different amounts of nanoclay prepared by selected mixing techniques were also investigated. It was found that melt compounding of Surlyn/clay masterbatch with pure LDPE and Surlyn (two‐step‐a method) results in better dispersion and intercalation of the nanofillers than melt mixing of LDPE/Surlyn/clay masterbatch with pure LDPE and surlyn (two‐step‐b method) and direct mixing of LDPE with clay. The films containing ionomer have good barrier properties. A wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction pattern indicates that intercalation of polymer chains into the clay galleries decreases by increasing the clay content. Barrier properties and tensile modulus of the films were improved by increasing the clay content. In addition, tensile strength increased in the machine direction, but it decreased in the transverse direction by increasing the clay content. DSC results showed that increasing the clay content does not show significant change in the melting and crystallization temperatures. The results of thermogravimetric analysis showed that the thermal stability of the nanocomposites decreased by increasing the clay content more than 1 wt%. J. VINYL ADDIT. Neural network model for resilient modulus of emulsified asphalt mixtures   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper explores the potential use of neural networks (NNs) in the field of emulsified asphalt mixtures. A neural network model is developed for predicting, with sufficient approximation, relationship between the factors affecting resilient modulus (inputs: curing time, cement addition level, and residual asphalt content) and the resilient modulus (output) of emulsified asphalt mixture. A backpropagation neural network of three layers is employed. First resilient modulus data are obtained by conducting laboratory resilient modulus tests on emulsified asphalt samples, and then the results are used to train the neural network. The effectiveness of different neural network configurations is investigated. Effect of parameters such as curing time, cement addition level and residual asphalt content that influence the resilient modulus is also explored. Results indicate that NN predicts the resilient modulus with high accuracy. It is also demonstrated that NN is an excellent method that can reduce the time consumed and can be used as an important tool in evaluating the factors affecting resilient modulus of emulsified asphalt mixture at the design stage.  相似文献

In Turkey, achievement of acceptable levels of quality in the construction sector has long been a problem. Great expenditures of time, money, and resources are wasted each year due to inefficient or nonexistent quality levels prevailing in the industry. The situation is even worse in the case of mass housing projects addressing to low and middle income groups. It is the purpose of this paper to identify the type of deviations resulting in rework in mass housing projects, since construction firms can only increase their profit margins by paying more attention to the deviation types. More importantly, firms can improve their images in the sector and thus, can take new projects. To achieve the objective mentioned above, data have been derived from 400 cases by means of a questionnaire containing 108 questions, and results of this survey were evaluated by several statistical techniques. It is concluded that households are not completely satisfied from the quality of products and/or services delivered within their housing units. In future studies, the causes and costs of the rework should be researched for better understanding the results together with the remedial measures being implemented.  相似文献

Joint ventures have been an important research topic over the last few decades primarily because of their importance as a strategic alternative in global competition. Due to the inherent complexities of international joint ventures (IJVs), involving a mixture of different managerial systems, attitudes, and business strategies, such entities are very difficult to manage. In this study, the effect of strategic, organizational, and cultural fit between IJV partners and of interpartner relations on IJV performance is examined through a questionnaire survey. IJV performance is measured by means of two constructs: “project performance” and “performance of IJV management.” The results point out the significance of the quality of partner relations for a successful IJV operation. Findings of the study also suggest that the level of organizational fit between the partners has a moderate influence on IJV performance. It was observed that strategic fit between IJV partners affects interpartner relations extensively, which in turn affects IJV performance. IJV partners with compatible technical and managerial skills, financial resources, organizational size, workload, and project experiences are expected to achieve greater IJV success.  相似文献

This paper concerns itself with the finite element formulation of micropolar plates in bending and establishes the validity of the finite element model in the form of a flat rectangular element.
