Triangulation of the Ag-Hg-Se-I system in the vicinity of quaternary phase Ag4HgSe2I2 was performed by differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction and electromotive force (EMF) methods. The spatial position of the phase region Ag4HgSe2I2-Se-HgI2 regarding the figurative point of silver was used to write the chemical reaction of formation of Ag4HgSe2I2. The EMF measurements were carried out by applying an electrochemical cell: (–) C|Ag|Ag2GeS3 glass|Ag4HgSe2I2, HgI2, Se|C (+), where C is graphite and Ag2GeS3 glass is the fast purely Ag+ ions conducting electrolyte. The linear dependence of the EMF of the electrochemical cell on temperature was used to determine the standard thermodynamic values of Ag4HgSe2I2 for the first time. 相似文献

In this article, oxidation processes of Ag-Bi-Sb-based phases were investigated. Synthesized AgBiS2 and AgSbS2-Sb2S3-Sb samples were thermally analyzed in synthetic air by applying the simultaneous DSC-TGA analysis technique. The oxidation processes at PO?=0.2 atm and T<1173 K were observed to take place in many-step sequence of various reactions with an overall reaction 2AgMeS2 + 5.5O2(g) ? 2Ag + Me2O3 + 4SO2(g), where Me=(Bi,Sb). Oxidations of AgBiS2, Sb2S3, and AgSbS2 were observed to begin above 549±2K, 610±2K, and 733±2K, respectively. Furthermore, oxidation processes of AgBi3S5 and Ag3SbS3 were estimated, and thermodynamic functions for the overall oxidation reactions were calculated and discussed. 相似文献

The resistance to surface and subsurface damage during lubricated rolling-sliding wear of a carburised low-alloy sintered steel and the effect of shot peening were investigated. The formation of both contact fatigue cracks and of brittle tensile cracks may be predicted by a theoretical model that was experimentally validated. Carburising is effective in increasing the resistance to contact fatigue, but pores in a hard and brittle matrix may act as pre-existing cracks. Shot peening increases the contact fatigue resistance since compressive residual stresses oppose the nucleation of surface cracks. 相似文献

Periodically stationary times series are useful to model physical systems whose mean behavior and covariance structure varies with the season. The Periodic Auto‐Regressive Moving Average (PARMA) process provides a powerful tool for modelling periodically stationary series. Since the process is non‐stationary, the innovations algorithm is useful to obtain parameter estimates. Fitting a PARMA model to high‐resolution data, such as weekly or daily time series, is problematic because of the large number of parameters. To obtain a more parsimonious model, the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) can be used to represent the model parameters. This article proves asymptotic results for the DFT coefficients, which allow identification of the statistically significant frequencies to be included in the PARMA model. 相似文献

We report on a novel strategy to the functionalisation of electrode surfaces based on the preparation and patterning of mixed metal electrodes using metal selective electrodesorption of a sacrificial alkanethiol. Plain palladium (Pd) and plain polycrystalline gold (poly-Au) electrodes were used initially to determine metal specific potential windows within which electrodesorption of the short alkanethiol mercaptoethanol could be achieved. We found that stripping of mercaptoethanol from gold was achieved at potentials lower than −0.800 V, whilst stripping from palladium was achieved at more positive potentials i.e. around −0.650 V. Mixed metal electrodes were prepared by electroplating for short period of times palladium onto poly-Au electrodes. The resulting surfaces were characterised electrochemically in 1 M H2SO4 and clearly exhibited reduction peaks for both gold and palladium oxide formation. The mixed metal electrodes were coated with mercaptoethanol, which was further selectively removed from Pd by cyclic voltammetry in NaOH in the Pd-specific potential window. The presence of bare Pd domains revealed following electrodesorption was confirmed by subsequently adsorbing the electroactive alkanethiol 6-ferrocenylhexanethiol onto the freshly revealed Pd. Cyclic voltamogramms exhibited sharp redox peaks that could only be attributed to the successful immobilisation of 6-ferrocenylhexanethiol onto fresh Pd domains. Control surfaces, i.e. MCE fully coated Pd/Poly-Au electrode, exposed to 6-ferrocenylhexanethiol did not exhibit significant voltammetric features, attesting to the efficient patterning of the mixed metal electrode by employing metal specific reductive desorption of short alkanethiols. The possibility to pattern electrode surfaces in such way will find application in the field of diagnostics, and also in heterogeneous catalysis where Pd-Au alloys have received an increased interest in the recent years. 相似文献

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of starter cultures on the physicochemical properties, texture, and consumer preferences of soft white cheese (SWC) made from camel (Camelus dromedarius) milk. The experiment was laid out in a completely randomized design with 5 treatments [starter cultures; i.e., 1 thermophilic (STI-12), 2 blended (RST-743 and XPL-2), and 2 mesophilic (R-707 and CHN-22) cultures]. Starter cultures STI-12 and RST-743 were inoculated at 37°C, whereas XPL-2, R-707, and CHN-22 were inoculated at 30°C. Camel milk inoculated using STI-12 and RST-743 cultures resulted in faster acidification than XPL-2, R-707, and CHN-22 cultures. Camel milk SWC made using STI-12 and CHN-22 cultures gave lower pH (4.54) and titratable acidity (0.59), respectively, whereas R-707 culture resulted in high cheese yield (13.44 g/100 g). In addition, high fat (20.91 g/100 g), protein (17.49 g/100 g), total solids (43.44 g/100 g), and ash (2.40 g/100 g) contents were recorded for SWC made from camel milk made using RST-743 culture. Instrumental analysis of cheese texture revealed differences in resistance to deformation in which camel milk SWC made using RST-743 culture gave higher firmness (3.20 N) and brittleness (3.12 N). However, no significant difference was observed among camel milk SWC adhesiveness made using different starter cultures. Consumer preference for appearance, aroma, taste, and overall acceptances of SWC were affected by inoculation of starter cultures. Considering curd firmness, cheese yield, compositional quality, and textures using STI-12, RST-743, and R-707, these cultures were found to be better for the manufacture of camel milk SWC. 相似文献

Nitrogen-doped titanium dioxide (N/TiO2) nanophotocatalysts were successfully synthesized in the presence of environmentally benign nitrogen dopant source, guanidinium chloride, by the sol–gel method. The effect of calcination temperature (300–600 °C) on their physicochemical properties was investigated by means XRD, XPS, FESEM, HRTEM, Raman spectroscopy, UV-vis DRS, PL and BET. Moreover, their photocatalytic activities were evaluated against rhodamine B (RhB) degradation under direct sun light. Results showed that the crystal phase of spheroidal N/TiO2 nanoparticles was changed from anatase (300 °C) to rutile (600 °C) via an intermediate anatase/rutile (A/R) mixed phase (400–500 °C), and the RhB photodegradation performance was increased with the decrease of the calcination temperature. Notably, N/TiO2 prepared at 400 °C demonstrated the best degradation performance (99%) after 5 h irradiation. The enhanced performance with high photostability was mainly attributed to its higher surface area and pore volume, stronger light absorption, and lower recombination rate. Replicated and extended research on the development of sensitivity to the depth cues of linear perspective and texture gradients by using a more sensitive method (Experiment 1) and by investigating the role of self-produced locomotion in facilitating the onset of sensitivity to information (Experiment 2). Using a method similar to Yonas, Granrud, Arterberry, and Hanson (1986), infants' reaching to the pictorially closer object served as the dependent measure. Changes in methodology provided an increase in the difference between 7-month-olds' monocular and binocular reaching performance, but 5-month-olds failed to show evidence of sensitivity to the depth cues investigated. Experiment 2 found no difference in monocular reaching performance among 7-month-old infants with varying degrees of locomotor experience, suggesting that self-produced locomotion may not play a role in facilitating the onset of sensitivity to static-monocular depth information.
