Picosecond optical pulse compression characteristics of chirped pulses from gain-switched distributed feedback-laser diodes (DFB-LD) transmitting through highly dispersive media are studied theoretically and experimentally. It is clarified theoretically that gain-switched chirped pulses can be compressed to about a 0.7-time bandwidth product by normal dispersion of the dispersive media and that the optimum dispersion value to obtain a minimum compressed pulse is proportional to the square of original pulsewidth. Through a dispersion, shifted single-mode fiber with -48-ps/nm normal dispersion at a 1.3-μm wavelength, gain-switched 30-ps (FWHM) pulses from a directly modulated 1.3-μm DFB-LD at a 4.4-GHz repetition rate have been successfully compressed to 6.4-ps optical pulses with a 0.86-time bandwidth product. A randomized open study was undertaken to compare the therapeutic effects between low-dose etretinate alone and low-dose etretinate combined with eicosapentaenoic acid in 40 patients with chronic, stable psoriasis vulgaris. Better and more rapid improvement was obtained with the combination therapy for 12 weeks than with low-dose etretinate monotherapy. Eicosapentaenoic acid was safe, and adverse reactions due to low-dose etretinate were mild or tolerable. The combination regimen, therefore, has a satisfactory effect on psoriasis without marked adverse reactions. 相似文献

Adsorption properties of graphite oxides hydrophobized by n-hexadecylamine, (C16)xGO, were investigated using pyrene molecules as a model of nonionic organic contaminants. A large quantity of pyrene (28.5 mg/g) was adsorbed from a water-ethanol mixture (1:2) containing 2 mM of pyrene when (C16)0.6GO was used. The isotherm of pyrene adsorption was better described by Freundlich equation rather than Langmuir equation, which indicated a single adsorption mechanism was involved. The change in the amount of adsorbed pyrene as a function of amine content in GO was very similar to that which occurs upon introduction of pyrene into (C16)xGO films from chloroform solution, as determined by X-ray measurements. This suggests that pyrene molecules were adsorbed not only on the outer surface but also within the interlayer space of the intercalation compound. Swelling of the intercalation compound by ethanol can render the interlayers more organophilic and make access to hexadecylamine molecules bonded to the graphite oxide layer easier for pyrene molecules, especially in (C16)xGOs with lower amine contents. 相似文献

This paper addresses the convergence of simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation (SPSA) with a norm‐limited update vector. We first illustrate an unstable solution of the standard SPSA algorithm which motivates the consideration of a modified version, where the norm of the update vector is limited to a certain value. Next, a result on the almost‐sure convergence is presented by reducing the modified algorithm into the standard SPSA algorithm and restricting the probability distribution for the perturbation to a Bernoulli distribution. Charge trap in amorphous perfluoro-polymer electret is studied, focusing on electron trap site and trap energy. Low-energy inverse photoelectron spectroscopy is adopted to measure solid-state electron affinity (EA) of cyclic transparent optical polymer (CYTOP). EA of CYTOP CTL-S is discovered by compensating the unwanted charge-up effect. Negatively-charged electret materials (polyethylene, ethylene-tetra-fluoro-ethylene, poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene, and CYTOP) are analyzed by quantum mechanical calculation. Density functional theory with long-range correction is adopted to analyze orbital energies of single molecular systems. Intramolecular distribution of trapped electron and EA are investigated. Calculated electron affinities of CYTOP polymers with different end group are qualitatively in accordance with trapped charge stability measured with thermal stimulated discharge, signifying that electron affinities obtained with the present simulation can be used as an index of amorphous polymer electret. 相似文献

In this note, a novel iterative learning control scheme for a class of Hamiltonian control systems is proposed, which is applicable to electromechanical systems. The proposed method has the following distinguished features. This method does not require either the precise knowledge of the model of the target system or the time derivatives of the output signals. Despite the lack of information, the tracking error monotonously decreases in L/sub 2/ sense and, further, perfect tracking is achieved when it is applied to mechanical systems. The self-adjoint related properties of Hamiltonian systems proven in this note play the key role in this learning control. Those properties are also useful for general optimal control. Furthermore, experiments of a robot manipulator demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 相似文献

The in situ calibration method for the impurity influx monitor (divertor) is experimentally examined. The total reflectance of the optical path from the focal point of the Cassegrain telescope to the first mirror is derived using a micro retroreflector array. An optical fiber with angled physical contact (APC) connectors reduces the return edge reflection. APC fibers and a multimode coupler increase the signal-to-noise ratio by about one order compared to that of triple-branched fibers and enable measurement of the wavelength dependence of the total reflectance of the optical system even after potential deterioration of mirror surfaces reduces reflectance. 相似文献

This paper addresses multi-agent control under an environment where both agent-to-agent communication and one-to-all broadcast are available. The problem studied here is a consensus problem for a pre-specified location, i.e. collecting the agents at a desired location in an n-dimensional space, with a limited communication range and an unlimited broadcast range, which is a nice example to be solved under the mixed environment. For solving this, we first introduce a concept of the connected agent group. Using this notion, the problem is reduced to a consensus problem for the group-to-group relation and that for the agent-to-agent relation in the groups, from which we derive a controller achieving the consensus with probability 1. This paper introduces generalized canonical transformations for generalized Hamiltonian systems which convert a generalized Hamiltonian system into another one, and preserve the generalized Hamiltonian structure of the original. As in classical mechanics, it is expected that canonical transformations will provide new insights and fundamental tools for both analysis and synthesis of those systems. Firstly, the class of generalized canonical transformations and some of their properties are indicated. Secondly, it is shown how to stabilize the generalized Hamiltonian systems using canonical transformations.
