The investigation on lath martensitic transfor-mation has been carried out for 24SiMnNi2CrMoAsteel using transmission electron microscopy (TEM)and X-ray diffraction.The austenite andmartensite in the alloy adopt the intermediateorientation relationship between Kurdjumov-Sachsand Nishiyama.The adjacent laths in a packet aresmall-angle related or twin-related.The retainedaustenites which accommodate shape deformationof martensites appear commonly between adjacentlaths.High Si content increases the volume fractionof retained austenites and its stability.The excellentcombination of high strength and toughness of thissteel is attributed to its fine martensite laths mingledwith more than 5% continuous retained austenitefilms. 相似文献
