In this work, we investigate the effect of the thermal insulation by leather wastes (wet-blue chrome shavings and buffing dust) and carpentry wastes (wood shavings and sawdust) on the energy consumption of a model building using the average climatic data of the city of Casablanca (Morocco). For this study, we used the dynamic thermal simulation tool “TRNSYS 16” which predicts the thermal behavior of building and systems associated with it. Using this software, we evaluated the effect of the above material wastes on thermal comfort and building energy consumption. The type and the thickness of the materials were considered as variants to choose the better solution. The average temperatures of building supposed thermally insulated compared to those obtained without insulation clearly show the thermal insulation ability of tested materials during the cold and warm periods of the year. Increasing the thickness of the insulator makes locals increasingly comfortable. Because of their performance, leather and carpentry wastes can compete with conventional insulating materials such as polystyrene and cork.  相似文献

The sessile drop technique was used to investigate the evolution of the physicochemical properties of cedar wood as a function of contact time with the Penicillium expansum spores. The most important finding showed that the impact of different contact periods (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 24 hr) on the wood surface were very indicative. In fact, after 2 hr of contact, the results have shown a significant impact of the bioadhesion of spores to the substrate on both the hydrophobic character (θW = 108.5°; ΔGiwi = ?28.25 mJ/m2), the electron donor (γ? = 13.63 mJ/m2), and the electron acceptor (γ+ = 4.35 mJ/m2) parameters that were significantly reduced compared to the initial wood (θW = 118.5°; ΔGiwi = ?6.29 mJ/m2; γ? = 32.1 mJ/m2; and γ+ = 9.1 mJ/m2). In addition, this decrease of parameters continued over time to stabilize after 10 hr of contact. Indeed, after 24 hr, the acid/base properties were almost zero and the contact angle with water decreased to 30°. Moreover, it was found that the coefficient of correlation (r2) was strong between the contact angle with water, the surface energy, and the electron acceptor character with the contact time parameter with values (r2 = 0.65), (r2 = 0.79), and (r2 = 0.68), respectively.  相似文献

Staphylococcus aureus, which has its ecological niche in the anterior nares, has been shown to cause a variety of infectious diseases mainly for patients in hemodialysis units. We performed this study to evaluate the prevalence of nasal S. aureus carriage among hemodialysis outpatients, to determine the antimicrobial susceptibility of isolates, to characterize the virulence genes, and to identify associated risk factors. Nares swab specimens were obtained from 70 outpatients on hemodialysis between March and June 2010. Samples were plated immediately onto S. aureus specific media and pattern of antibacterial sensitivity was determined using disk diffusion method. Polymerase chain reaction was used to detect nuc, mecA, and genes encoding staphylococcal toxins. Medical record of patients was explored to determine S.aureus carriage risk factors. Nasal screening identified 42.9% S. aureus carriers with only one (3.3%) methicillin‐resistant S. aureus isolate. Among the methicillin‐susceptible S. aureus isolates, high rate of penicillin resistance (81.8%) has been detected. The identified risk factors were male gender and age ≤ 30 years. Research of virulence factors showed a high genetic diversity among the 30 S. aureus isolates. Twenty‐one (70%) of them had at least one virulence gene, of which 3.3% were Panton‐Valentine leukocidin (lukS/F‐PV) genes. S. aureus carriage must be screened for at regular intervals in hemodialysis patients. Setting up a bacterial surveillance system is one of the strategies to understand the epidemiology of methicillin‐resistant S. aureus, to guide local antibiotic policy and prevent spread of antibiotic‐resistant S. aureus.  相似文献

Vehicular ad hoc networks known by their greatly active topology have given rise to new challenges related to routing protocols, issues of less concern in infrastructure-based networks or even in mobile ad hoc networks. Indeed, the high revocability of network topology makes the satisfaction of driver’s requirements very arduous, especially with multimedia applications that need strict quality of service (QoS) support. The main purpose of this paper is to promote real time video traffic by maximizing user gratification while keeping a good QoS. Thus, based on the well-known greedy perimeter stateless routing (GPSR) protocol, we propose a new approach called fuzzy geographical routing (FzGR) that incorporates two fuzzy logic usages. The first takes into consideration three input parameters of QoS: the delay, the size of buffer and the throughput, while it outputs a single relevant metric to prioritize the next-hop with lower concern. The other fuzzy system aims at preserving the concept of basic GPSR by considering the distance measure between each next-hop and the final destination. The proposal has been evaluated and compared to the GPSR using a rigorous metrics analysis regarding QoS and quality of experience. Our extensive experimental results using several simulators (e.g., NS-2, VanetMobiSim and Evalvid), show that FzGR has the ability to increase the performance of the network.

The growth of the Internet of Things (IoTs) and the number of connected devices is driven by emerging applications and business models. One common aim is to provide systems able to synchronize these devices, handle the big amount of daily generated data and meet business demands. This paper proposes a cost-effective cloud-based architecture using an event-driven backbone to process many applications’ data in real-time, called REDA. It supports the Amazon Web Service (AWS) IoT core, and it opens the door as a free software-based implementation. Measured data from several wireless sensor nodes are transmitted to the cloud running application through the lightweight publisher/subscriber messaging transport protocol, MQTT. The real-time stream processing platform, Apache Kafka, is used as a message broker to receive data from the producer and forward it to the correspondent consumer. Micro-services design patterns, as an event consumer, are implemented with Java spring and managed with Apache Maven to avoid the monolithic applications’ problem. The Apache Kafka cluster co-located with Zookeeper is deployed over three availability zones and optimized for high throughput and low latency. To guarantee no message loss and to simulate the system performances, different load tests are carried out. The proposed architecture is reliable in stress cases and can handle records goes to 8000 messages in a second with low latency in a cheap hosted and configured architecture.
