Crowdwork, a new form of digitally mediated employment and part of the so-called gig economy, has the capacity to change the nature of work organization and to provide strategic value to workers, job providers, and intermediary platform owners. However, because crowdwork is temporary, large-scale, distributed, and mediated, its governance remains a challenge that often casts a shadow over its strategic value. The objective of this paper is to shed light on the making of value-adding crowdwork arrangements. Specifically, the paper explores crowdwork platform governance mechanisms and the relationships between these mechanisms and organizational value creation. Building on a comprehensive review of the extant literature on governance and crowdwork, we construct an overarching conceptual model that integrates control system and coordination system as two complementary mechanisms that drive crowdwork platform governance effectiveness and the consequent job provider benefits. Furthermore, the model accentuates the role of the degree of centralization and the degree of routinization as critical moderators in crowdwork platform governance. Overall, the paper highlights the potential of crowdwork to contribute not only to inclusion, fair wages and flexible work arrangements for workers but also to organizations’ value and competitive edge.  相似文献

Using ultrasonic top-to-down method, nanoparticles of two N-nicotinyl phosphoric triamides: C5H4NC(O)NHP(O)R, R?=?4-CH3-NC5H10 (1), (CH3)3CNH2 (2) were prepared for the first time and characterized by 31P, 13C, 1H NMR, FTIR, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray. The average particle size of 1 and 2 were 60–70 and 40–50?nm, respectively, and the morphology was spherical for 1 and rod for 2. Solid state (powder) antibacterial effect of these compounds and two other similar reported ones, in their macro- and nanosizes, were evaluated with colony counting method on one Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) and one Gram-negative (Escherichia coli) bacteria in Brain–Heart infusion culture medium. Results showed that all the macro- and nanosized compounds, except macrosized 1, were antibacterial and all nanoscaled ones had stronger antibacterial activity than their macroscaled analogues. The most effect of the particle size was observed for 1: by decreasing the particle sizes, the antibacterial activity state of 1 was changed from inactive (for macro) to potent (for nano).  相似文献

Of late, fuel cells have drawn great attentions owing to high-energy demands, fossil fuel depletion and worldwide environmental pollution. Direct ethanol fuel cell (DEFC) constituted as one of the most promising sources of green energy, howbeit the ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) sluggish kinetic is one of the essential challenges toward the commercialization of DEFCs. Herein, we introduce bimetallic catalyst on CoNiO2 modified reduced graphene oxide (rGO) to completely exploit the advantages of nano-surface structures as well as the reduction of Pt and Pd loading in fuel cells. With the combined advantages of PtPd, CoNiO2 and rGO, a significant enhancement in electrocatalytic behavior, stability and CO poisoning tolerance of PtPd have been observed. Regarding the implications, PtPd/CoNiO2/rGO is greatly preferable than Pt/CoNiO2/rGO and Pd/CoNiO2/rGO in terms of high electroactive surface area (ECSA), electro-catalytic activity, and lower onset potential (Eons) towards the EtOH oxidation in alkaline media. Furthermore, the chronoamperometry curve (CA) illustrated 77% after 3600 s which is dramatically soared compared with the other electrodes (≤40%), demonstrating the high stability of the PtPd bimetallic nanoparticle electrocatalyst. Ultimately, PtPd/CoNiO2/rGO nanocomposite is found to be an excellent anode electrocatalyst for application in DEFCs.  相似文献

Nowadays, automatic speech emotion recognition has numerous applications. One of the important steps of these systems is the feature selection step. Because it is not known which acoustic features of person’s speech are related to speech emotion, much effort has been made to introduce several acoustic features. However, since employing all of these features will lower the learning efficiency of classifiers, it is necessary to select some features. Moreover, when there are several speakers, choosing speaker-independent features is required. For this reason, the present paper attempts to select features which are not only related to the emotion of speech, but are also speaker-independent. For this purpose, the current study proposes a multi-task approach which selects the proper speaker-independent features for each pair of classes. The selected features are then given to the classifier. Finally, the outputs of the classifiers are appropriately combined to achieve an output of a multi-class problem. Simulation results reveal that the proposed approach outperforms other methods and offers higher efficiency in terms of detection accuracy and runtime.

Membranes with asymmetric wettability-Janus membranes-have recently received considerable attention for a variety of critical applications. Here, we report on a simple approach to introduce asymmetric wettability into hydrophilic porous domains. Our approach is based on the physicochemical-selective deposition of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) on hydrophilic polymeric substrates. To achieve selective deposition of PTFE, we inhibit the polymerization reaction within the porous domain. We prefill the substrates with glycerol, containing a known amount of free radical inhibitor, and utilize initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) for the polymerization of PTFE. We show that the glycerol/inhibitor mixture hinders the deposition of PTFE within the membrane pores. As a result, the surface of the substrates remains open and porous. The fabricated Janus membranes show stable wetting-resistant properties, evaluated through sessile drop contact angle measurements and direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD).  相似文献
