Heterodyne mixing with frequency modulation is employed for detection of torsional resonances of whiskers in rhombic TaS3 (typical quasi-1D conductor) with charge-density wave (CDW). The dependences of both torque and the feedback signal of torsion on the internal properties of CDW are distinctive features of the proposed method. Sample placement in the vicinity of the electrode that serves as gate is unnecessary. Results of experimental investigations of directly synthesizing nanocrystalline titanium diboride in a hypervelocity jet of electrodischarge plasma generated by a pulse high-current coaxial magnetoplasma accelerator with titanium electrodes are presented. This paper considers thermochemical recuperation (TCR) of waste-heat using natural gas reforming by steam and combustion products. Combustion products contain steam (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), and ballast nitrogen (N2). Because endothermic chemical reactions take place, methane steam-dry reforming creates new synthetic fuel that contains valuable combustion components: hydrogen (H2), carbon monoxide (CO), and unreformed methane (CH4). There are several advantages to performing TCR in the industrial furnaces: high energy efficiency, high regeneration rate (rate of waste-heat recovery), and low emission of greenhouse gases (CO2, NOx). As will be shown, the use of TCR is significantly increasing the efficiency of industrial furnaces – it has been observed that TCR is capable of reducing fuel consumption by nearly 25%. Additionally, increased energy efficiency has a beneficial effect on the environment as it leads to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. 相似文献

XLPE-insulated cables and wires are becoming more widespread. For this reason, it is becoming necessary to control the state of insulation over its total operating life. Online monitoring of the effects on the insulation and determination of its remaining life becomes possible using modern equipment. In this paper, a method of determining the remaining lifetime of the cross-linked polyethylene insulation of the powertransmission line is presented. An insulation-aging model developed at the previous stage of the research was used. It is proposed to control the destructive effects on the insulation and calculate the remaining life based on the obtained data. The results of the research showed that the probability of failure is subject to the normal character of distribution (Gaussian distribution) as the insulation in the process of operation is exposed to a large number of effects (partial discharges, thermal actions, effect of the environmental factors, etc.). The remaining lifetime is defined as a function of inverse failure probability. The proposed method can be used to develop a set of devices for determining the remaining life of polyethylene insulation. 相似文献
