This study presents the development and characterization of PVDF-conjugated polymer nanofiber-based systems. Five different conducting polymers (CPs) were synthesized successfully and used to create the nanofiber systems. The CPs used are polyaniline (PANI), polypyrrole (PPY), polyindole (PIN), polyanthranilic acid (PANA), and polycarbazole (PCZ). Nanofiber systems were produced utilizing the Forcespinning® technique. The nanofiber systems were developed by mechanical stretching. No electrical field or post-process poling was used in the nanofiber systems. The morphology, structure, electrochemical and piezoelectric performance was characterized. All of the nanofiber PVDF/CP systems displayed higher piezoelectric performance than the fine fiber PVDF systems. The PVDF/PPY nanofiber system displays the highest piezoelectric performance of 15.56 V. The piezoelectric performance of the PVDF/CP nanofiber systems favors potential for an attractive source of energy where highly flexible membranes could be used in power actuators, sensors and portable, and wireless devices to mention some.  相似文献

Sensitivity and multi-directional motivation are major two factors for developing optimized humidity-response materials, which are promising for sensing, energy production, etc. Organic functional groups are commonly used as the water sensitive units through hydrogen bond interactions with water molecules in actuators. The multi-coordination ability of inorganic ions implies that the inorganic ionic compounds are potentially superior water sensitive units. However, the particle forms of inorganic ionic compounds produced by classical nucleation limit the number of exposed ions to interact with water. Recent progress on the inorganic ionic oligomers has broken through the limitation of classical nucleation, and realized the molecular-scaled incorporation of inorganic ionic compounds into an organic matrix. Here, the incorporation of hydrophilic calcium carbonate ionic oligomers into hydrophobic poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) is demonstrated. The ultra-small calcium carbonate oligomers within a PVDF film endow it with an ultra-sensitive, reversible, and bidirectional response. The motivation ability is superior to other bidirectional humidity-actuators at present, which realizes self-motivation on an ice surface, converting the chemical potential energy of the humidity gradient from ice to kinetic energy.  相似文献

This paper deals with the modelling and the identification of an electromechanical Diesel engine actuator. The studied Bosch GPA-S actuator is designed for swirl/tumble flaps to control the air amount entering into the cylinder. This study aims to design a complete simulator that reproduces, with sufficient accuracy, the actuator dynamics taking into account the effects of the friction phenomenon. Hence, an overview of the actuator structure and its operation principle is first given. Then, its mathematical model as well as the nonlinearity, related to its behaviour, is discussed. Next, three identification procedures, which allow estimating both the system parameters and the friction model coefficients, are introduced. Finally, simulation results, using MATLAB, and experimental results, using LabVIEW, are presented demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.  相似文献

The current paper provides a theoretical study of elastic wave propagation in a cracked elastic medium induced by an embedded piezoelectric actuator. The formulation of the problem is based on a newly developed actuator model and the solution of coupled crack and actuator problems. The interaction between an actuator and a crack is studied to develop basic understanding of the effect of the crack upon the wave field generated. The resulting wave field is used to simulate 'sensor signals'. Scattered wave from the crack is then regenerated by solving a reverse elastodynamic problem and used in an imaging technique to identify the crack.  相似文献

 An efficient finite element model is presented for the static and dynamic piezothermoelastic analysis and control of FGM plates under temperature gradient environments using integrated piezoelectric sensor/actuator layers. The properties of an FGM plate are functionally graded in the thickness direction according to a volume fraction power law distribution. A constant displacement-cum-velocity feedback control algorithm that couples the direct and inverse piezoelectric effects is applied to provide active feedback control of the integrated FGM plate in a closed loop system. Numerical results for the static and dynamic control are presented for the FGM plate, which consists of zirconia and aluminum. The effects of the constituent volume fractions and the influence of feedback control gain on the static and dynamic responses of the FGM plates are examined. A novel finite element model is presented for static and dynamic analysis of composite plates integrated with a laminated piezoelectric layer, a host laminated composite plate and an adhesive layer between them. A new adhesive element is developed which includes both peel and shear effects in the adhesive layer based on first‐order shear deformation plate theory. The thin adhesive layer between the piezoelectric layer and the host plate is modelled by assuming that it carries constant shear and peel strains throughout its thickness. In addition, a weighted static shape control scheme for finding the optimal voltage distribution for static shape control is given. By selecting different weighting matrices, a variety of items such as displacements, slopes, curvatures, strains and even generalized forces, can be included in finding the optimal actuating voltage for static shape control. The present model is validated by comparing with those results available in the literature. The numerical results show that the weighted linear least method can give a satisfactory voltage distribution to best match the desired shape. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Mobile robots can be used in many applications, such as exploration, search and rescue, reconnaissance, security, and cleaning. Mobile robots usually carry batteries as their energy source and their operational time is restricted by the finite energy available from the batteries. Therefore, energy constraints are critical to the service time of mobile robots. This paper investigates the minimum-energy control problem for translational trajectory generation, which minimizes the energy drawn from the batteries. Optimal control theory is used to find the optimal velocity trajectory in analytic form. To demonstrate energy efficiency obtainable, we performed simulations of minimum-energy velocity control and compared the results with loss-minimization control and energy-optimal trapezoidal velocity profiles. Simulation results showed that significant energy savings can be achieved, of up to 9% compared with loss-minimization control and up to 10% compared with energy-optimal trapezoidal velocity profile. We also performed an actual robot experiment using Pioneer 3-AT platform to show the validity of the proposed minimum-energy velocity control. The experimental results revealed that the proposed minimum-energy velocity control can save the battery energy up to 10% compared with loss-minimization control. Stabilizing manipulators during the transition from free to constraint motion is an important issue in contact task control design. This paper documents the development, theoretical analysis and experimental evaluation of a Lyapunov-based control scheme to regulate the impacts of a hydraulic actuator that comes in contact with a nonmoving environment. Upon sensing a nonzero force, the controller positions the actuator at the location where the force was first sensed, exerting minimal force on the environment. The scheme does not require continuous measurement of force or velocity during the short period of impacts, making it very useful for practical cases. Furthermore, no knowledge of the impact dynamics, friction effects, servovalve dynamics, or hydraulic parameters is required for control action. Stability of the control scheme is verified via analytical analyses. Due to the discontinuous friction model and the discontinuous nature of the proposed control law, the control system is nonsmooth. The existence, continuation and uniqueness of Filippov's solution to the system are, therefore, investigated. The extension of LaSalle's invariance principle to nonsmooth systems is next employed to prove that all the solution trajectories converge to the equilibria. The controller is finally tested experimentally to verify its practicality and effectiveness in collisions with hard and soft environments and with various approach velocities.  相似文献

This paper investigates the stability analysis and antiwindup design problem for a class of discrete-time switched linear systems with time-varying norm-bounded uncertainties and saturating actuators by using the switched Lyapunov function approach.Supposing that a set of linear dynamic output controllers have been designed to stabilize the switched system without considering its input saturation,we design antiwindup compensation gains in order to enlarge the domain of attraction of the closed-loop system in the presence of saturation.Then,in terms of a sector condition,the antiwindup compensation gains which aim to maximize the estimation of domain of attraction of the closed-loop system are presented by solving a convex optimization problem with linear matrix inequality(LMI)constraints.A numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method.  相似文献
