Summary  Over the past few years, the challenges of globalisation, consolidation and economical point of view have meant that manufacturers of epoxy formulations have to constantly improve their capability to meet the needs of customers. An active area for advancement is that of epoxy and polyamide resin with castor oil. Generally, people working in the coating industries are familiar with castor oil, but this paper provides information on the new use of castor oil in epoxy and polyamide resin. This novel product (castor oil-modified epoxy resin/castor oil-modified polyamide) provides a previously unattainable combination and improved flexibility and toughness to a variety of ambient cure applications. This communication will review the performance of these castor oil-modified epoxy and polyamide resin surface coatings and adhesives. Based on the results of this study, these systems offer some advantages without much affecting the traditional properties of epoxy and polyamide resin in a variety of applications.  相似文献

用实验室自制的2-烷基苯并咪唑做环氧树脂固化剂,通过示差扫描量热法(DSC)、凝胶实验、FT IR等方法研究其与环氧树脂E-51的固化过程,发现取代基碳链增加,潜伏性增加,并且有很好的力学性能和吸湿性。初步探讨了2-烷基苯并咪唑的固化机理,结果发现其与烷基咪唑近似,同样遵循Heise固化机理。  相似文献

In the present study, the effect of adhesive on the morphology of different electrospun polymeric mats was investigated. The modification of two polymers, poly(methyl methacrylate) and poly(vinyl chloride), was carried out by blending the polymers with different amounts of poly(butyl acrylate) (PBA) adhesive to investigate the effect of different amounts of adhesive with heat hardener in hybrid mats. The introduction of various concentrations of PBA into different polymer solutions led to the formation of point‐bonded electrospun fibrous mats. Scanning electron microscopy images indicated that point‐bonded polymer/adhesive fibers were uniformly distributed throughout the mats. Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, contact angle measurements and thermogravimetric analysis were used to study the different properties of the hybrid mats. The tensile strength of the blended fibrous electrospun mats was increased effectively. This enhancement of the mechanical properties of the mats due to the presence of adhesive increases the number of potential applications of the electrospun mats, especially for mechanically weak polymers. 用硫脲改性四乙烯五胺合成了环氧树脂固化剂。通过测量初凝时间和接触角,讨论了反应时间、合成温度和单体投料比对固化剂性能的影响。通过热效应法考查了固化剂与环氧树脂的最佳配比。实验结果表明,反应时间为3 h,反应温度为130℃,四乙烯五胺与硫脲的质量比为1.4∶1时,合成的固化剂较好。当m固化剂∶m环氧=1∶4时,胶粘剂能在-5℃/8 d内固化,有效提高固化体系在低温下的固化能力。  相似文献

 采用化学灌浆材料性能测试方法,研究了影响CW系化学灌浆材料主要性能的各种因素。结果表明,浆材的物理性能与环氧树脂、活性稀释剂、固化剂、表面活性剂的种类和用量有关。工程应用实例说明CW系化学灌浆材料特别适合于处理泥化夹层和混凝土微细裂缝。  相似文献

The synthesis of a polyaniline–clay nanocomposite (PAniC NC) was achieved using the in situ polymerization of aniline in a Cloisite® 30B nanoclay suspension in a supercritical CO2 (Sc-CO2) medium. The interfacial co-polymerization of aniline (ANI) and m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid (SAN) in the presence of Cloisite® 30B was performed in Sc-CO2/water to produce the SPANI-clay NC. The NC was then mixed with a water-based hardener. This water-based composite is developed with the goal of reducing environmental and health risks. The use of this Sc-CO2 technique produced a composite material that resulted in the enhanced protection of carbon steel against corrosion when compared to a similar composite synthesized under atmospheric conditions. The materials obtained were characterized using UV/visible spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction and scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The anti-corrosion performance and the adhesion properties of these coatings were evaluated using standardized tests. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was also used to determine the electrochemical properties of these anti-corrosion coatings. Better exfoliation and dispersion of the clay was achieved using the Sc-CO2 medium resulting in superior performances in corrosion and electrochemical tests because of the higher level of intercalation.  相似文献
