At the shipyards, the aluminium alloy 5083 is welded with a multi-pass sequence using the metal inert gas technique. If, while checking the weld integrity either after welding or during service, defects are detected in the vicinity of the weldment, repairs are usually employed to extend the service life.
The repair method involves removal of the upper passes, depending on the thickness and re-welding under the same conditions.
Purpose of this paper is to examine the microstructural changes accompanying repair welding, define their effect on properties of primary importance and set, if possible, an upper limit as far as the number of repairs is concerned. 相似文献

采用搅拌摩擦焊接法焊接了5083-H321铝合金板材,借助光学显微镜、扫描电镜、背散射电子衍射分析仪及取向显微成像分析技术对焊缝与母材的组织进行了对比性研究.结果表明,该合金板材的焊缝无宏观缺陷,焊缝成形区呈现出与母材明显不同的组织特征;搅拌摩擦焊使该合金板材中大量的小角度晶界转化为大角度晶界,母材和焊核区的晶粒尺寸分布范围分别为6-55 μm及15-30 μm,晶粒纵横比分布范围分别为2~8和15-3,焊核区呈现均匀化与等轴化的动态再结晶特征. 相似文献

Influences of testing technique and frequency on the fatigue behaviour of 50CrMo4 and EN AW-5083 were investigated. To clarify the effect of test frequency on the fatigue behaviour, tests with 20 kHz and f < 400 Hz were performed. The frequency effect can be caused by temperature, environment and strain rate. For the aluminium alloy, the influence of environment is responsible for the dependence of fatigue lifetime on the frequency. The fatigue lifetime of the steel showed in both environments similar frequency dependency, i.e. the strain rate is assumed to be responsible for the differences in fatigue lifetime. 相似文献

The energy absorption capacity of the Al5083 thin-walled tube produced by parallel tubular angular pressing (PTCAP) process was evaluated. Also, microstructure, mechanical properties, and anisotropy coefficients were studied in the peripheral and axial directions. Results showed that values of energy absorption decreased with processing pass increasing and the values for the unprocessed, first and second passes were obtained to be 167, 161.4 and 160.7 J, respectively. The differences between the simulation results for the energy absorption values and their experimental values for the unprocessed, the first and the second PTCAP passes samples are about 5%, 10%, and 13%, respectively. The energy absorption capacity was related to the anisotropy coefficient and microstructure. The results demonstrated that grain refinement occurred and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and microhardness after the first and second PTCAP passes were enhanced, while the increase rate in the first pass was much severer. Also, by applying PTCAP, the deformation modes were altered, such that the deformation mode of the annealed tube was quite symmetrical and circular while for the first and second passes there have been triple and double lobes diamond. The results of the numerical simulation for the deformation mode of the annealed and PTCAPed tubes were consistent with the experimental results. 利用Gleeble-3500热模拟系统和电子背散射衍射(EBSD)技术对5083铝合金超快速退火组织的演变规律进行了研究,探讨了5083铝合金经过80%冷轧变形后以500 ℃/s加热至450 ℃时,不同保温时间(1~60 s,冷却速度40 ℃/s)对退火组织及力学性能的影响。结果表明,随退火保温时间从1 s延长到60 s,5083铝合金的平均晶粒尺寸由4.94 μm增大到6.44 μm,合金中主要产生了再结晶立方退火织构{001}<100>、旋转立方织构{001}<110>,以及少量的高斯织构{011}<100>和黄铜型织构{011}<211>。当退火保温时间从1 s增加到60 s,整体上合金中的再结晶退火织构先增强再减弱。退火保温时间对5083铝合金的强度影响较小,5083铝合金的屈服强度、抗拉强度没有明显的变化,分别约为170 MPa、326 MPa,而其伸长率由25.63%逐渐增大至30.06%,最后又降低至25.20%。 相似文献

对5083铝/6082铝异种材料搅拌摩擦焊(friction stir welding,FSW)进行研究,重点分析轴肩直径对横截面形貌、显微组织与显微硬度的影响规律.结果表明,FSW接头焊核区由致密细小的等轴晶组成;增加轴肩直径可增加焊核区沿垂直焊缝方向的宽度以及增大焊核区、热影响区与热力影响区的晶粒尺寸.与后退侧的6082铝合金不同,前进侧5083铝合金的热力影响区发生了动态再结晶.显微硬度呈W形分布,最小值出现在热影响区.显微硬度的测试结果与焊核区的横截面形貌结果吻合. 相似文献

以5083铝与6082铝为研究对象,利用搅拌摩擦焊(friction stir welding,FSW)制备了异种材料对接接头.利用短波长X射线衍射(short-wavelength X-ray diffraction,SWRXD)技术,以{311}与{111}为衍射晶面,基于极图最外圈织构参量确定了残余应力测试方向,采用d0法研究了FSW焊件中心层的残余应力.结果表明,{111}和{311}晶面测试的纵向残余应力分布趋势相近,焊核区为拉应力并出现两个应力峰值;{111}晶面的测试结果更为离散,应力的峰值向前进侧偏移;采用{111}晶面测试的横向的残余应力分布趋势与{311}晶面测试的结果偏差较大. 相似文献
