An increasing amount of commercial measurement instruments implementing a wide range of measurement technologies is rapidly becoming available for dimensional and geometric verification. Multiple solutions are often acquired within the shop-floor with the aim of providing alternatives to cover a wider array of measurement needs, thus overcoming the limitations of individual instruments and technologies.In such scenarios, multisensor data fusion aims at going one step further by seeking original and different ways to analyze and combine multiple measurement datasets taken from the same measurand, in order to produce synergistic effects and ultimately obtain overall better measurement results.In this work an original approach to multisensor data fusion is presented, based on the development of Gaussian process models (the technique also known as kriging), starting from point sets acquired from multiple instruments. The approach is illustrated and validated through the application to a simulated test case and two real-life industrial metrology scenarios involving structured light scanners and coordinate measurement machines.The results show that not only the proposed approach allows for obtaining final measurement results whose metrological quality transcends that of the original single-sensor datasets, but also it allows to better characterize metrological performance and potential sources of measurement error originated from within each individual sensor.  相似文献

A method for automatic determination of sensors positions and orientations in multisensor laser triangulation coordinate measuring systems is presented. Based on a series of measurements on a conical artifact without the use of external light sources, the approach allows for both optimized adjustment of the physical sensors alignment and improved 3D data registration by software. Simulations were conducted to quantify the sensitivity of the method. Experimental results based on measurements of steep details of complex shaped parts show a 5-times reduction of deviations between measurements of sensors with respect to an already optimized adjustment by manual methods.  相似文献

For the multisensor multi-channel autoregressive moving average (ARMA) signal with white measurement noises and a common disturbance measurement white noise, when the model parameters and the noise variances are all unknown, a multi-stage information fusion identification method is presented, where the consistent fused estimates of the model parameters and noise variances are obtained by the multi-dimension recursive instrumental variable (RIV) algorithm, correlation method and Gevers-Wouters algorithm with a dead band. Substituting these estimates into the optimal distributed measurement fusion Kalman signal estimator, a self-tuning distributed measurement fusion Kalman signal estimator is presented. Its convergence is proved by the dynamic error system analysis (DESA) method, so that it has asymptotical global optimality. In order to reduce computational load, a fast recursive inversion algorithm for a high-dimension matrix is presented by the inversion formula of partitioned matrix. Especially, when the process and measurement noise variance matrices are all diagonal matrices, the inversion formula of a high-dimension matrix is presented, which extends the formula of the inverse of Pei-Radman matrix. Applying the proposed inversion algorithm, the computation of the fused measurement and fused noise variance is simplified and their computational burden is reduced. A simulation example shows effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献
