| Abstract: | The causes leading to the vortexes in molten steel during steelmaking process and the unfavorable harm were explained. The study status and development direction on reducing vor-texes in steel-making at home and abroad were introduced. Then it is proposed that the electro-magnetic force can be used for counteracting the driving force caused by the vortexes so that the unfavorable effect of the vortexes on molten steel can be reduced or eliminated. |
