Abstract:Recent progress of energy transformation in polymer medium were reviewed. Nine types of energy transformation in polymer medium were discussed. They include: (1) Transform mechanical energy into heat energy; (2) Transform acoustic energy into heat energy; (3) Transform radiation energy into heat energy; (4) Transform electric energy into heat energy; (5) Transform electric energy into radiation energy; (6) Transform chemical, acoustic energy into electric energy; (7) Transform mechanical energy into chemical energy; (8) Transform acoustic energy into chemical energy; (9) Transform electromagnetic radiation energy into chemical energy. Some practical applications were summarized.
