Abstract:This article makes use of polyurethane foam as matrix for the preparation of foamed Ni-Mo-Co alloy,by pretreatment,electrodeposition sinter-reducing and deoxidization.The surface morphology,element composition and microstructure of Ni and Ni-Mo-Co alloy were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The catalytic activity of the obtained alloy was studied in 30% KOH solution by potentiostatic polarization technique.The results show that the Ni-Mo-Co alloy has a three-dimension grid structure and shows high porosity.The over-potential for HER declines about 407 mV compared to foam Ni electrode at 100 mA/cm2,showing better catalytic activity for hydrogen evolution.
