As three primary elements for the process of creative thinking,memory,association and imagination are playing the most im-portant role in the creation of architectural sketches.The process of creative thinking in human brain was analyzed.As the basic tool for mem-ory,association and imagination,the ways that the sketches help these three parts to achieve their jobs were discussed,and finally the great leap was obtained in architectural sketches.
