Smartphones and cloud computing technologies have enabled the development of sophisticated mobile applications. Still, many of these applications do not perform well due to limited computation, data storage, network bandwidth, and battery capacity in a mobile phone. While applications can be redesigned with client-server models to benefit from cloud services, users are no longer in full control of the application. This is also a serious concern. We propose an innovative framework for executing mobile applications in a virtualized cloud environment. With encryption and isolation, this environment is controlled by the user and protected against eavesdropping from cloud providers. We have developed efficient schemes for migrating applications and synchronizing data between execution environments. Performance and power issues within a virtualized execution environment are also addressed using power saving and scheduling techniques that enable automatic, seamless application migration.  相似文献

Together with an explosive growth of the mobile applications and emerging of cloud computing concept, mobile cloud computing (MCC) has been introduced to be a potential technology for mobile services. MCC integrates the cloud computing into the mobile environment and overcomes obstacles related to the performance (e.g., battery life, storage, and bandwidth), environment (e.g., heterogeneity, scalability, and availability), and security (e.g., reliability and privacy) discussed in mobile computing. This paper gives a survey of MCC, which helps general readers have an overview of the MCC including the definition, architecture, and applications. 移动云计算安全度量是云计算安全中的一个研究领域,主要是研究采用手机等移动终端设备,通过移动互联网使用云计算服务过程中的安全问题及安全度量方法。本文分析了目前移动云计算行业发展过程中存在的安全问题,指出了这些安全问题是阻碍用户使用云计算服务的关键,分析了传统的安全度量方法在移动云计算中的应用的优缺点,并在此基础上提出了一种基于场景的移动云计算安全度量方法,该方法可以有效度量和展示用户正在使用的云计算服务的安全情况,可以解除用户对于安全的顾虑,让用户放心使用。  相似文献

Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) is emerging as one of the most important branches of cloud computing. In this paper, MCC is defined as cloud computing extended by mobility, and a new ad-hoc infrastructure based on mobile devices. It provides mobile users with data storage and processing services on a cloud computing platform. Because mobile cloud computing is still in its infancy, we aim to clarify confusion that has arisen from different views. Existing works are reviewed, and an overview of recent advances in mobile cloud computing is provided. We investigate representative infrastructures of mobile cloud computing and analyze key components. Moreover, emerging MCC models and services are discussed, and challenging issues are identified that will need to be addressed in future work.  相似文献

Cell phones are everywhere, growing in both number and type. A smart phone is a next-generation, multifunctional cell phone that provides voice communication and text-messaging capabilities and facilitates data processing as well as enhanced wireless connectivity. Both the industry and academic research communities are working to resolve numerous issues, ranging from low-power hardware design, to flexible I/O methods, to location-sensing technologies, to mobile security issues. Nevertheless, with the deployment of 3G and Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide and the adoption of smart phones by the masses, we expect to see a spectrum of new services and applications targeting smart phone users that essentially mobilize people's daily lives and enterprise computing.  相似文献

为了使气象部门充分利用3G手机进行气象信息服务,对3G手机气象服务中经常采用的短信(彩信)、WAP、手机网站和手机软件4种方式,从交互性、传送及时性、视音频等方面进行了比较,并就当前手机信息推送方法的2种技术:短信推送和长连接进行了分析,结合公共气象服务的今后发展趋势,说明发送气象预警信息采用3G手机软件进行及时性传输是比较可行的。  相似文献

基于"Web 2.0"、"City 2.0"、"政府2.0"等概念,提出了"交通2.0"概念,并建立了系统模型。该系统模型包括众筹数据和开放数据两个维度,众筹数据通过收集公众从智能手机、车载终端、Web 2.0网站上传的交通数据,获取现有检测系统不能提供的实时数据,并及时解决公众使用交通系统过程中发现的问题;开放数据通过开放公共数据,催化公众把开放的数据做出各种相互补充相互竞争的应用和服务,形成可持续的全面解决方案和创新的生态环境。该系统模型通过云计算、大数据处理、手机应用等技术做到了聚合众筹数据,提供开放数据以催化产生创新的交通应用和服务以完善现有交通设施和管理制度,并给将来的交通规划提供数据支撑和科学决策支持。智慧交通项目集成"交通2.0"后,实践表明奠定众筹数据和开放数据两个渠道,使公众能够积极地参与到交通生态链的完善和智慧化过程中来,是真正实现从"智能"到"智慧"的关键,是智慧交通系统产生活力的源泉。  相似文献

Mobile device users are involved in social networking, gaming, learning, and even some office work, so the end users expect mobile devices with high-response computing capacities, storage, and high battery power consumption. The data-intensive applications, such as text search, online gaming, and face recognition usage, have tremendously increased. With such high complex applications, there are many issues in mobile devices, namely, fast battery draining, limited power, low storage capacity, and increased energy consumption. The novelty of this work is to strike a balance between time and energy consumption of mobile devices while using data-intensive applications by finding the optimal offloading decisions. This paper proposes a novel efficient Data Size-Aware Offloading Model (DSAOM) for data-intensive applications and to predict the appropriate resource provider for dynamic resource allocation in mobile cloud computing. Based on the data size, the tasks are separated and gradually allocated to the appropriate resource providers for execution. The task is placed into the appropriate resource provider by considering the availability services in the fog nodes or the cloud. The tasks are split into smaller portions for execution in the neighbor fog nodes. To execute the task in the remote side, the offloading decision is made by using the min-cut algorithm by considering the monetary cost of the mobile device. This proposed system achieves low-latency time 13.2% and low response time 14.1% and minimizes 24% of the energy consumption over the existing model. Finally, according to experimental findings, this framework efficiently lowers energy use and improves performance for data-intensive demanding application activities, and the task offloading strategy is effective for intensive offloading requests.  相似文献

Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is a new technology that brings cloud computing and mobile networks together. It enhances the quality of service delivered to mobile clients, network operators, and cloud providers. Security in MCC technology, particularly authentication during the handover process, is a big challenge. Current vertical handover authentication protocols encounter different problems such as undesirable delays in real-time applications, the man in the middle attack, and replay attack. In this paper, a new authentication protocol for heterogeneous IEEE 802.11/LTE-A mobile cloud networks are proposed. The proposed protocol is mainly based on the view of the 3GPP access network discovery and selection function, which uses the capacities given by the IEEE 802.11 and the 3GPP long term evolution-advanced (LTE-A) standards interconnection. A prediction scheme, with no additional load over the network, or the user is utilized to handle cloud computing issues arising during authentication in the handover process. The proposed handover authentication protocol outperformed existing protocols in terms of key confidentiality, powerful security, and efficiency which was used to reduce bandwidth consumption.

Today, software developers for desktop computing build request and respond applications to do what end users tell them to do and answer what they ask. In mobile computing, software developers will need to develop sense and response applications that will interact with the end user. These applications will notify or ask users what they want based on what they have sensed or on a personal profile. Mobile cloud computing has the potential to empower mobile users with capabilities not found in mobile devices, combining different and heterogeneous data sets. Technology has been advancing day by day and smart phones are providing challenges for the development of latest and sophisticated mobile applications. Talkback feature of Android makes it easy to access touch screen devices, but specially abled people are facing various problems in existing mobile applications. All mobile applications are not following the feature of Talkback and there is a lack of tactile feature. Considering these points, the present study is an attempt to develop a mobile application based on voice and gestures to provide communication services to specially abled people. The mobile application has been developed with the help of android studio and a special mobile case. The mobile case designed to help the beginners of developed mobile application. Color combination technique of green computing has been used to design the layout of mobile application for saving power. Four edge method has also been used in the designing part of mobile application’s layout to make it more accessible. The findings of the study revealed that the developed mobile application helps the end user to access features of mobile phone such as call, message, date, time etc. The developed mobile application assists the specially abled people having visual impairment or totally blind. The paper elaborates the design and development phase of mobile application in detail. Furthermore, applications of developed mobile applications have also been highlighted.
