This paper presents a novel algorithm for the analysis of quasi-optical filters, consisting of thick metal screens perforated periodically with arbitrarily shaped apertures. The algorithm is based on the widely used method of moments (MoM) in conjunction with entire domain basis functions. Its flexibility, accuracy, and rapidity depend on the use of the boundary integral-resonant mode expansion (BI-RME) method in the numerical determination of the basis functions. A computer code has been developed based on this algorithm. The analysis of two different quasi-optical filters operating at 8 GHz and 280 GHz is reported and compared with experimental data as well as with other simulations. In both cases, the whole analysis requires few seconds on a standard workstation and the theoretical results show a very good agreement with the measured data in a wide frequency band. The capability of the MoM/BI-RME approach to handle completely arbitrary shapes is highlighted in the second example. In this case, in fact, the fabrication process causes small deformations of the nominal shape of the apertures, which must be accounted for, since they play an important role in the frequency response of the filter  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a novel approach for the analysis of shielded microstrip circuits, composed of a number of thin metallic areas with arbitrary shapes and finite conductivity, embedded in a multilayered lossy medium. The analysis is based on the solution of an integral equation (IE) obtained by enforcing the proper boundary condition to the electric field on the metallic areas. The IE is solved by using the method of moments with entire domain basis functions, which are numerically determined by the boundary integral-resonant-mode expansion (BI-RME) method. The use of the BI-RME method allows for the efficient calculation of the basis functions independently on the shape of the domain, thus permitting the analysis of a wide class of circuits. A new theoretical approach to the problem of two identical, parallel, nonstaggered dipole antennas, driven by 2-wire lines is presented. This contribution is an extension of earlier work dealing with the isolated dipole antenna driven by a 2-wire line. The present simple theory is limited to coupled dipoles, the distances of which are greater than one-tenth of a wavelength.  相似文献

An efficient hybrid method for evaluation of spatial-domain method-of-moments (MoM) matrix entries is presented in this paper. It has already been demonstrated that the introduction of the closed-form Green's functions into the MoM formulation results in a significant computational improvement in filling up MoM matrices and, consequently, in the analysis of planar geometries. To achieve further improvement in the computational efficiency of the MoM matrix entries, a hybrid method is proposed in this paper and, through some examples, it is demonstrated that it provides significant acceleration in filling up MoM matrices while preserving the accuracy of the results  相似文献

The self and mutual impedances of two coupled cylindrical antennas embedded in a hot plasma have been measured. A large volume of hot plasma was provided by a mercury-arc discharge. Pairs of monopoles with various lengths were embedded in the plasma volume and excited by r.f. signals. The experimental results show that, near the plasma frequency, the self and mutual impedances undergo rapid changes as the plasma density is varied. The effect of an electroacoustic wave on the self impedance is not very outstanding. However, this wave has a significant effect on the mutual impedance, as can be evidenced by the appearance of electroacoustic resonances (Tonks-Dattner resonances) in the mutual-impedance curves.  相似文献

结合正交频分复用(OFDM)技术和相干探测的优势,研究了相干OFDM自由空间光通信(FSO)系统的误码性能,考虑了OFDM映射方式以及映射阶数对系统误码性能的影响。在Gamma-Gamma大气湍流信道下,分别从平均信噪比和所需平均接受光功率的角度考虑了系统在弱、中和强湍流三种情况下的误码性能。在此基础上,推导了系统误符号率的闭合表达式。仿真结果表明,相干探测下OFDM FSO系统可以较好地克服大气湍流效应,在弱、中湍流情况下,QAM映射方式下系统的误码性能明显优于PSK方式,在强湍流下这种优势不明显,此外随着映射阶数的增加,系统误符号率增加,因此在实际应用中可以通过降低映射阶数来提高系统误码性能。  相似文献

采用分段正弦基矩量法计算线天线电流,借助分段正弦电流辐射场表达式,将各分段电流产生的辐射场进行线性叠加,进而获得天线总的辐射场。该辐射场利用球面波展开法进行展开,同时采用数值积分方法求取辐射场球面波展开式中各模式的系数值。以3种基本单元天线:偶极子天线、圆环天线以及螺旋天线为例,定量分析了3种基本单元天线的辐射模式,验证了这一方法的正确性。  相似文献

理论分析了大气湍流信道下无线光载射频通信系统的误码率,推导出从弱湍流到强湍流环境下采用BPSK调制格式的无线光载射频通信系统平均误码率闭合公式。基于公式,进行了数值仿真,仿真结果表明Rytov指数、接收天线直径和传播距离是影响系统误码率的主要因素,并讨论了误码率随这3个参数的变化趋势。最后研究了MPSK/MQAM在无线光载射频系统中的误码率性能,得到一种具有较低误码率和高比特速率的调制格式。  相似文献

研究了自由空间复杂导体目标的太赫兹(THz)雷达散射截面(RCS)的高频求解方法。将并矢格林函数引入物理光学方法中,对自由空间环境进行考虑,推导出自由空间物理光学分析方法,并结合图形电磁计算(GRECO)方法,采用分区显示算法改进后,在Visual C++ 2010 程序中实现目标的OpenGL 显示,对自由空间复杂导体目标进行消隐判断,提取像素面元法矢量和深度缓存等有效信息,计算了自由空间复杂导体目标的THz RCS。最后,将程序计算结果与FEKO 软件仿真结果进行比较,结果证明该方法的有效性和准确性。该研究结果为THz 雷达未来在军事、天文和遥感等领域的应用提供了重要依据和方法。  相似文献

By direct application of the variational calculus, it is shown that the gradient may be calculated by integration of the state equations and costate equations, namely 2n equations. An efficient and accurate hybrid method, based on the combination of the method of moments (MoM) with a special Green's function in the space domain is presented to analyze antennas and array elements conformal to electrically large material coated circular cylinders. The efficiency and accuracy of the method depend strongly on the computation of the Green's function, which is the kernel of the integral equation that is solved via MoM for the unknown equivalent currents representing only the antenna elements. Three types of space-domain Green's function representations are used, each accurate and computationally efficient in a given region of space. Consequently, a computationally optimized analysis tool for conformal microstrip antennas is obtained. Input impedance of various microstrip antennas and mutual coupling between two identical antennas are calculated and compared with published results to assess the accuracy of this hybrid method.  相似文献

A hybrid technique combining the shooting-and-bouncing-ray (SBR) method and the method-of-moments (MoM) is presented for analyzing scattering by large conducting bodies having small protrusions. In this technique, the MoM with an approximate Green's function is used to characterize the small protrusions, yielding an admittance matrix, which, when multiplied with the incident field on the protrusions, yields the currents induced on the protrusions. The incident field in the presence of the large bodies is calculated using the SBR method. The field radiated by the currents on the protrusions is also calculated using the SBR method with the aid of reciprocity. Furthermore, an iterative approach is developed, which can reduce the error introduced by the use of the approximate Green's function, Numerical results are given to demonstrate the accuracy and capability of the hybrid technique  相似文献

The interior resonance problem that can occur when using a hybrid finite-element method/method of moments (FEM/MoM) method to model electromagnetic scattering problems is investigated. Calculations of the bistatic radar cross section of a coated dielectric sphere are presented using different formulations, solution approaches, and solvers. The solutions using the electric-field integral equation have significant errors near an interior resonance frequency. When the combined-field integral equation is employed, satisfactory solutions can be obtained that do not depend on the particular solution approach or solver.  相似文献
