'Magic mushrooms' (MMs) are psychoactive fungi containing the hallucinogenic compounds, psilocin (1) and psilocybin (2). Since June 6, 2002, these fungi have been regulated by the Narcotics and Psychotropics Control Law in Japan. Because there are many kinds of MMs and they are sold even as dry powders in local markets, it is very difficult to identify the original species of the MMs by morphological observation. Therefore, we investigated the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region in the ribosomal RNA gene of MMs obtained in Japanese markets to classify them by a genetic approach. Based on the size and nucleotide sequence of the ITS region amplified by PCR, tested MMs were classified into 6 groups. Furthermore, a comparison of the DNA sequences of the MMs with those of authentic samples or with those found in the databases (GenBank, EMBL and DDBJ) made it possible to identify the species of tested MMs. Analysis by LC revealed that psilocin (1) was contained at the highest level in Panaeolus cyanescens among the MMs, but was absent in the Amanita species.  相似文献

In this study, field observations were conducted after a heavy rainfall event in the Sumida and Shakujii rivers in Tokyo, Japan. The flow dynamics and fluxes of salt, suspended sediment (SS), and dissolved oxygen (DO) were investigated with the mass balance method. The fractions of fresh water and saltwater in seaward and landward flows were separated. The maximum salt flux in the Shakujii River was 53.8 kg/s during the flood tide, and those in the Sumida River were 680.3 kg/s at the upstream station and 703.7 kg/s at the downstream station. The trends of SS and DO fluxes were similar in both rivers. In the Shakujii River, the highest SS (3.1 kg/s) and DO (0.4 kg/s) fluxes appeared during the flood tide after rainfall. In the Sumida River, the maximum SS fluxes (6.1 and 6.3 kg/s at the upstream and downstream stations, respectively) and DO fluxes (1.15 and 1.21 kg/s at the upstream and downstream stations, respectively) appeared during the ebb tide. The mass balance method was used to estimate discharge, salinity, SS concentration, and DO concentration at a station with missing data. The results show that the estimated salinity and SS concentration had a significant correlation with the on-site observations, with correlation coefficients (R) of 0.950 and 0.835, respectively, but not for DO concentration (R = 0.638). The disparity between the computed and measured data may be explained by the differences in velocity, salinity, topography, sedimentation, and the presence of organic matter. The analysis based on the advective salt transport components found a lower salt flux per unit width in the Shakujii River (0.36 kg/(m·s)) in comparison with that in the Sumida River (2.88 kg/(m·s)). This indicates a higher probability for salt retention in the Shakujii River.  相似文献

By taking into account the electrostatic deformation in the band profiles and the temperature dependence of the optical dephasing time, we study the temperature sensitivity of the differential gain, threshold carrier density, and radiative current density in 1.3-μm InP-based strained-layer quantum-well (QW) lasers. Electrostatic deformation is analyzed by the self-consistent numerical calculation of Poisson's equation, the scalar effective-mass equation for the conduction band, and the multiband effective-mass equation for the valence band. The optical dephasing time is then obtained from the intrasubband scattering rates for electrons and holes within the fully dynamic random phase approximation including carrier-carrier and carrier-phonon interactions on an equal basis. It is clarified that the electrostatic band-profile deformation is one of the dominant mechanisms For determining the temperature sensitivity Of the differential gain, while the optical dephasing time has a pronounced influence on the transparent condition at elevated temperatures. We demonstrate that the electrostatic band-profile deformation and the temperature-dependent optical dephasing play essential roles in determining the high-temperature characteristics of InP-based QW lasers  相似文献

PURPOSE: Lamotrigine (LTG) is recognised as effective add-on therapy for focal epilepsies, but this is the first double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study in treatment-resistant generalised epilepsy. METHODS: The study consisted of 2 x 8-week treatment periods followed by a 4-week washout period. Patients received doses of either 75 or 150 mg daily, depending on their concomitant antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). Long-term continuation was offered at the end of the study with open-label LTG. RESULTS: Five centres in Australia recruited 26 patients who were having absence, myoclonic, or generalized tonic-clonic seizures or a combination of these. Twenty-two patients completed the study. There was a significant reduction in frequency of both tonic-clonic and absence seizure types with LTG. A 350% decrease in seizures was observed for tonic-clonic seizures in 50% of cases and for absence seizures in 33% of evaluable cases. Rash was the only adverse effect causing discontinuation. Twenty-three of 26 opted for open-label LTG, with 20 still receiving LTG for a mean of 26 months. In these 20, 80% had > or =50% seizure reduction and five (25%) were seizure free. CONCLUSIONS: This study shows that LTG is effective add-on therapy in patients with refractory generalised epilepsies. Statistically significant reduction in seizures in both absence and tonic-clonic seizure types was seen even with low doses of LTG.  相似文献

A 57-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of restenosis of the left main coronary trunk (LMT) after patch angioplasty for the LMT lesion. PTCA was repeated four times during three years after patch angioplasty, but recent coronary angiogram still demonstrated 75% restenosis of the LMT lesion. Double-CABG was performed to LAD and LCX using the left internal thoracic artery and saphenous vein graft. Postoperative coronary angiogram revealed an excellent result. A careful consideration must be given to the indication of the patch angioplasty of the LMT lesion.  相似文献

Indefinite donor-specific tolerance to a cardiac allograft can be induced through pretransplantation intrathymic injection of donor spleen cells and a single intraperitoneal injection of antilymphocyte serum. This study was designed to determine whether this phenomenon was reproducible with grafts differing in either class I major histocompatibility complex only or class II MHC only. Donors of cells and hearts in all experiments were RP rats. Class I MHC disparate grafts were performed by placing an RP heart into a Lewis recipient, and class II disparate grafts were performed with RP donors and Wistar Furth recipients. Lewis (n = 10) and Wistar Furth (n = 10) recipients underwent intraperitoneal injection of 1 ml antilympocyte serum and intrathymic injection of 5 x 10(7) RP spleen cells. Three weeks later, heterotopic cardiac transplantation was done with a heart from an RP rat. Control rats had no pretreatment or received antilympocyte serum alone. Without pretreatment, RP hearts survived 7 to 9 days (mean 8 days) in Lewis recipients (n = 5) and 9 to 14 days (mean 12 days) in Wistar Furth recipients (n = 5). Antilymphocyte serum alone produced slight prolongation of graft survival. Lewis rats pretreated with class I disparate RP splenocytes and antilympocyte serum had graft survivals of 8 to 27 days (mean 14 days), not significantly different from the results with antilympocyte serum alone. Class II disparate RP grafts placed in pretreated Wistar Furth rats had significant prolongation of graft survival, with four of five grafts surviving longer than 60 days (p < 0.01 vs antilympocyte serum alone). These results suggest that a disparity at the class II locus of the major histocompatibility complex is critical for the induction of cardiac allograft tolerance after intrathymic inoculation of allogeneic cells.  相似文献

The two-channel system previously reported has been implemented in hardware using system parameters appropriate to consumer television. The basic system divides the spectrum into lowand high-frequency spatial components. The lows are coarsely sampled and finely quantized and the highs finely sampled and coarsely quantized using a companded, randomized quantizer. The purpose of this experiment was to demonstrate the potential of the system for low-cost practical application, to study the effect of the character of the randomizing noise, and to ascertain that there were no deleterious effects due to interlace, motion, or input noise. The effect of TiO2 content on the oxidation of sintered bodies from the conventional Si3N4-Y2O3-Al2O3-AlN system was investigated. Sintered specimens composed of Si3N4, Y2O3, Al2O3, and AlN, with a ratio of 100 : 5 : 3 : 3 wt% and containing TiO2 in the range of 0 to 5 wt% to Si3N4, were fabricated at 1775 °C for 4 h at 0.5 MPa of N2. Oxidation at 1200 to 1400 °C for a maximum of 100 h was performed in atmospheres of dry and wet air flows. The relation between weight gain and oxidation time was confirmed to obey the parabolic law. The activation energies decreased with TiO2 content. In the phases present in the specimens oxidized at 1300 °C for 100 h in dry air, Y3Al5O12 and TiN, which had existed before oxidation, disappeared. Alpha-cristobalite and Y2O3·2TiO2 (Y2T) appeared in their place and increased with increasing TiO2 content. In those oxidized at 1400 °C, -cristobalite was dominant and very small amounts of Y2O3·2SiO2 and Y2T were contained. There was a tendency for more -cristobalite to form in oxidation in wet air than in dry air. Therefore, moisture was confirmed to affect the crystallization of SiO2 formed during oxidation. Judging from the lower activation energy, the crystallization, and the pores formation, we concluded that the addition of TiO2 decreases oxidation resistance.  相似文献
