New technologies such as power electronics have made it possible to change continuously the impedance of a power system not only to control power flow but also to enhance stability. A power system incorporating a variable impedance apparatus such as a variable series capacitor (VSrC) and high-speed phase shifter (HSPS) is called VIPS (Variable Impedance Power System) by the authors. This paper proposes a novel control method of VIPS apparatus such as VSrC and HSPS installed at an interconnecting point for stabilizing inter-area unstable and/or oscillatory modes. The proposed design method of the control system is a kind of hierarchical decentralized control method of a large-scale power system based on a Lyapunov function. Under the proposed control scheme, each subsystem can be stabilized independently by local controllers such as AVR, speed governor and PSS, and then the whole interconnected system can be stabilized by VIPS apparatus taking into account interactions between subsystems. The effectiveness and robustness of the VIPS apparatus control are shown by numerical examples with model systems including a large-scale power system.  相似文献

The antioxidative activity of green tea‐derived polyphenols known as catechins has been extensively studied. However, the antioxidative activity of the non‐polyphenolic fraction of green tea has been poorly elucidated and is the subject of the present study. The non‐polyphenolic fraction of green tea showed a significant dose‐dependent suppressive effect against the autooxidation of linoleic acid. The chlorophyll‐related compounds pheophytins a and b showed similar antioxidative activities in the same assay, much higher than those of α‐tocopherol and the green tea catechin (−)‐epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate (EGCG). The non‐polyphenolic fraction of green tea and pheophytins a and b exhibited suppressive activities against superoxide anion (${\bf O}_{2}ˆ{‐}$ ) generation in mouse macrophages induced by 12‐O‐tetradecanoylphorbol‐13‐acetate, showing higher activities than that of EGCG. These results suggest that the non‐polyphenolic fraction of green tea leaves has potent antioxidative activity and that this activity is associated with pheophytins a and b. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The ethyl ester of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is the only pure EPA-containing lipid available in bulk for oral administration. However, there is doubt as to whether EPA ethyl ester can efficiently increase the plasma levels of EPA in comparison with the ability of other kinds of EPA-containing lipids to do so. Therefore, two other kinds of EPA-containing lipids were prepared to study the efficiency of oral administration of those lipids for increasing the EPA content in plasma phospholipids and cholesteryl esters. EPA-containing lipids which were investigated were [A], 1,2,3-trieicosapentaenoyl-glycerol, [B] 2-eicosapentaenoyl-phosphatidylcholine and [C] ethyl ester of EPA. An adjusted amount of lipids [A], [B] and [C] was administered to rats through a gastric tube for 4 days (the first experiment) or for 10 days (the second experiment), and the fatty acid composition of plasma phospholipids and cholesteryl esters was determined. In the first experiment, there were no significant differences in the efficiency for increasing EPA levels in either phospholipids or cholesteryl esters among the lipids. In the second experiment, the EPA levels of both plasma phospholipids and cholesteryl esters of rats administered ethyl ester of EPA were significantly higher than those of rats administered 2-eicosapentaenoyl-phosphatidylcholine. The EPA levels of the rats administered 1,2,3-trieicosapentaenoylglycerol were between the levels of the two groups mentioned above, but the differences in the EPA levels were not significant. Although an ethyl ester-type molecule is not a naturally occurring lipid, ethyl ester of EPA is equal to 1,2,3-trieicosapentaenoyl-glycerol and appears to be superior to 2-eicosapentaenoyl-phosphatidylcholine as to the efficiency for increasing EPA levels in total plasma phospholipids and plasma cholesteryl esters.  相似文献

Polyacrylonitrile polymer powder was dissolved in 70% nitric acid and spun into isotropic filament through a glass nozzle of 0.5 mm. diameter in a coagulating bath of 30% nitric acid. Stretching was carried out in two stages: the first stretching was done in water at 20°C. followed by drying, and the second stretching was done in a boiling saturated solution of ammonium sulfate. The total stretching ratio was 23. These filaments were shrunk freely in water at 70–180°C. The change in orientation factors was traced by x-ray, infrared dichroism, visible dichroism, and sonic modulus methods. The relation between the reciprocal absolute temperature of thermal contraction and the logarithm of fiber length is a straight line which has two inflection points at 93 and 175°C. The orientation factors by x-ray and infrared dichroism remain unchanged up to 175°C. On the contrary, the orientation factors by visible dichroism and sonic modulus drop suddenly at about 90°C. This indicates the occurrence of relaxation of the amorphous chain at the glass transition temperature and shows the polymer is not perfect single-phase material. Orientation of crystalline and amorphous phases is stable from 100 to 170°C. in spite of considerable thermal contraction. The stability of orientation can be explained by the growth of a folded structure in the polymer.  相似文献

In this paper, we report the changes in physical properties of polycarbonate caused by absorbed water and supply basic data for the application of this effect. Absorbed water increases monotonously with increase in relative humidity. Along with the increase in absorbed water, the relaxation time of the β process increases, the glass transition temperature rises, the area of the endothermic peak at the glass transition temperature increases, and the dynamic Young's modulus decreases. We conclude that the absorbed water fills holes but does not function as a crosslinking agent.  相似文献

Herein we describe a new test system to produce a standardized partial muscle-tendon junction (MTJ) stretch injury. In anesthetized rabbits the tibialis anterior (TA) muscle-tendon unit is unilaterally shortened using a custom designed clamp roller system. An angular displacement (average velocity of 450 degrees x s[-1]) is applied about the foot to plantarflex the ankle 90 degrees while the lower extremity is fixed. During ankle rotation the TA muscle is tetanically stimulated to generate an eccentric stretch injury at the MTJ. Forty-eight hours after injury, isometric torque deficit (injured/sham) was measured. Two groups of animals (N = 6 in each group) were tested with the only difference between the two groups being the initial tendon shortening. In Group 1 (tendon shortening = 1.2 cm. N = 6) the torque deficit was 36.7+/-5.9% (mean+/-SD). In Group 2 (tendon shortening = 1.5 cm. N = 6) the torque deficit was 58.7+/-7.4% (mean+/-SD). No order effect was suggested by the data (P = 0.6062), but the difference in torque deficit between the two groups was highly significant (P = 0.0001). For all tests in which the tendon was temporarily shortened before muscle stimulation and stretch (N = 12) there was a visible hematoma at the MTJ similar to the injury that is common in athletic injuries. Histological evaluation 48 h after injury revealed both fiber tearing and inflammation at the MTJ. In addition, there was focal fiber damage in the muscle belly for both groups. The damage and inflammatory process, however, were more severe in the group with greater initial tendon shortening.  相似文献

We have developed a simple reprocessing process for spent FBR fuels using N-cyclohexyl-2-pyrrolidone (NCP) which has selective precipitation ability for UO22+ ions. It was confirmed that NCP has sufficient precipitation ability for UO22+ ions, decontamination capability (separation of UO22+ from simulated fission products), and resistance to γ-ray radiation in nitric acid solutions. These findings indicate that NCP is applicable to our reprocessing process. We have also evaluated performances of other precipitants such as N-n-propyl-2-pyrrolidone (NProP), N-n-butyl-2-pyrrolidone (NBP), and N-n-butyl-2-pyridone (NBPyr). It was found that higher decontamination factors (DFs) are obtained by using NProP and NBP. This can be interpreted that the hydrophobicity of NProP and NBP is lower than that of NCP. Furthermore, we have obtained an experimental result that the resistance of NBPyr to γ-ray radiation is superior to that of NCP.  相似文献

To investigate the effects of hydrogen on crack propagation in the extremely low growth rate range, fully reversed bending fatigue tests were performed on low carbon steel (JIS S10C) in hydrogen and in nitrogen gas environments at a low pressure. A crack showed almost the same non-propagation behavior in nitrogen as that in air. However, a crack in hydrogen continued to propagate even near $10^{7}$ cycles in the same testing strain range as that in nitrogen. In hydrogen gas, a crack grew intermittently by coalescing with a new micro-crack generated by slip behavior. This implies that hydrogen could inhibit the action of any factor affecting non-propagation.  相似文献
