A comparison between different PMD compensation techniques

We quantify the benefits of using different techniques for compensation of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in fiber-optic communication systems by means of numerical simulations. This is done both with respect to PMD-induced pulse broadening and in terms of system outage probability for different data formats [nonreturn-to-zero (NRZ) and return-to-zero (RZ)]. Attention is focused on simple and relevant single- and double-stage post-transmission compensators with a few degrees of freedom (DOF). It is generally believed that a PMD compensator with a polarization controller and a variable delay line can only compensate the PMD to the first order. We show, from analytical results, the counterintuitive fact that this scheme can also partially compensate for higher order PMD. We also investigate the benefit of using a polarizer as compensation element where the optical average power can be used as a feedback signal

A robust adaptive pole‐placement controller without strictly positive real condition

This paper considers the adaptive pole‐placement control problem for system (1) with unmodelled dynamics η_n dominated by a small constant ε multiplied by a quantity independent of ε but tending to infinity as the past input, output, and noise grow. Using bounded external excitation and randomly varying truncation techniques, we give a design method of adaptive pole‐placement controller. It is shown that the closed‐loop system is globally stable, the estimation error for the parameter contained in the modelled part is of order ε, and the closed‐loop system under the adaptive pole‐placement control law is suboptimal in the sense of $$\mathop{\lim\sup}\limits_{{n\to\infty }}{1\over n}\mathop{\sum}\limits_{i=0}^n{\left({A^{*}(z)y_{n}‐L(z)C(z)w_{n}‐B(z)R(z)y_{n}^{*}}\right)^{2}{\leq}O({\varepsilon}^{2})+\gamma^{2}\mathop{\sum}\limits_{j=1}^q{b_{j}^{2}}}$$\nopagenumbers\end while the SPR condition used usually in other papers is replaced by a stability condition. 污水处理厂恶臭含硫化合物的研究

分析了污水处理厂各个不同工艺段气、液两相中恶臭有机含硫化合物的分布情况,同时运用气相色谱-质谱联用仪及吹扫-捕集系统对甲硫醇、甲硫醚、羰基硫、二硫化碳和二甲二硫等五种化合物进行了定性准确的和定量分析,并对其产生机制及来源进行了较为详实的解析.其中挥发性气体样品的采集通过动态箱收集,溶解在水体中的目标化合物运用高纯氮气吹脱收集.研究结果表明,在水相和气相中的恶臭化合物的分布在不同的处理单元呈现不同的恶臭浓度,但经过污水处理厂各工艺的深度处理后, 溶解在水体当中的恶臭含硫化合物及挥发到大气中的化合物均有明显下降,去除率均达到90%以上.     

MIMO系统中简单的扩展空时块编码分集技术研究

本文提出一种多输入多输出（MIMO）天线系统中简单的扩展空时块编码（SSTBC）分集技术，采用沃尔什码来区分各天线发送数据子流。采用这种方法，在系统带宽一定时，不降低发送信息速率，同时接收机简单。不同天线的发送信息经过了所有收一发天线对之间的空间子信道，获得了所有路径的部分空间分集增益，仿真结果表明，这种增益的获得不受限于接收分集阶数，并且随发射天线的增加以一定的线性关系增加。     

绍兴市城区河道整治工程若干问题初探

通过对绍兴城区环城河、大环河、古运河、古城河等河道整治工程内容和整治成效的分析，总结了绍兴城区河道整治的5大特点，针对河道建设中存在的有关问题，提出了今后城市河道整治的4条具体措施。
