Mixing of two immiscible liquids can be conveniently achieved in a liquid-jet ejector system which utilizes the kinetic energy of a liquid-jet to simultaneously aspirate and interdisperse the immiscible phases. In such a dispersion process energy dissipation occurs due to friction on the walls of the ejector throat and divergent diffuser, as well as due to mixing and interdispersion of the two phases. The paper deals with the analysis and quantification of these different energy losses. Measurements have also been reported on pressure drop and holdup of two phase liquid-liquid flow in a vertical column fitted to the ejector system. Correlations have been developed for predicting the irreversible pressure drop (in terms of a two-phase friction factor) and the holdup on the basis of the physical and dynamic variables of the system. A term ‘degree of mixing’, defined as the ratio of the actual holdup fraction to the homogeneous holdup fraction, has been used to estimate the extent of mixing.  相似文献

采用κ-ε二方程模型和欧拉多相流模型,对一种单筒单级气升式气液环流反应器内的湍流气液两相流进行了全尺寸的数值模拟研究,考察了采用3种不同气体分布器时反应器内气含率和流速分布的细节.模拟结果表明不同结构的分布器对总体气含率和内筒中的两相速度分布有很大影响,因而对气含率分布和气液两相接触效果有较大影响,从而对反应过程产生影响.单环分布器产生的气液两相接触效果较差,对于反应过程很不利.对于大直径的环流反应器推荐使用多环分布器.计算所得的整体气含率与实测的整体气含率进行了对比,吻合较好.  相似文献

Gas holdup and pressure loss were measured for various gas-liquid systems in a batch, multistage bubble column. Experimental results show that the use of screen plates (α = 0.64) considerably increases the gas holdup but introduces a significant pressure loss for the two-phase mixture. The pressure loss was found to be independent of physical properties of the mixture, and predictable either from the modified separated flow model (Chen et al., 1986) or from the kinetic energy loss based on the liquid circulation velocity.  相似文献

The presence of solid particles at lower contents (up to 6% by volume) caused an increase in the gas holdup in the three-phase reciprocating plate column, compared to that in the two phase (gas-liquid) column of the same type, under the same other operating conditions. The decrease in the gas holdup, which was normally observed in the two-phase column, was not found in the three-phase column as the vibration speed was increased at lower levels.  相似文献

Zero net-liquid flow (ZNLF) is a special case of upward gas-liquid two-phase flow. It is a phenomenon observed as a gas-liquid mixture flows in a conduit but the net liquid flow rate is zero. Investigation on the liquid holdup of ZNLF is conducted in a vertical ten-meter tube with diameter of 76 mm, both for Newtonian and nonNewtonian fluids. The gas phase is air. The Newtonian fluid is water and the non-Newtonian fluids are water-based guar gel solutions. The correlations developed for predicting liquid holdup on the basis of Lockhart-Martinelli parameter are not suitable to ZNLF. A constitutive correlation for the liquid holdup of vertical ZNLF was put forward by using the mass balance. It is found that the liquid holdup in ZNLF is dependent on both the gas flow rate and the flow distribution coefficient.  相似文献

In this study, time-averaged gas holdup distributions were investigated in a 16 cm diameter bubble column for two-phase dispersed system of air–water and air–glycerol solution of 10 wt% by using ultrasonic computed tomography (UCT). A quantitative result of UCT – as a coupling of the ultrasonic transmission method and the iterative filtered backprojection (IFBP) image reconstruction technique – is presented. The UCT results are in a good agreement with those by the bed expansion method. A higher gas holdup in the air–glycerol 10 wt% solution than in the air–water system was observed. The distribution of gas holdup in the column with an attached baffle is also investigated by UCT.  相似文献

为了解浆态床鼓泡反应器中气含率的分布规律,在浆态床鼓泡反应器冷模试验装置中,以空气-液体石蜡-氧化铝微球为试验介质对装置内部的气含率进行研究。利用压差法研究了表观气速、浆液固含量等操作条件对反应器床层总体气含率的影响,利用光纤探针法研究了浆态床反应器不同操作条件对局部气含率的影响,总结了反应器内部气含率的分布规律,并由此对工业浆态床鼓泡反应器的设计进行了研究。结果表明:浆态床反应器的总体气含率随表观气速的增大而增大,固体细颗粒的加入能适当降低总体气含率;在反应器底部,分布器对气体的均布作用明显,但表观气速的增大能够弱化分布器的作用;在反应器的中上部气含率不受分布器的影响,沿反应器径向呈现"中间高,边缘低"的分布趋势;在工业费托浆态床中,表观气速不宜低于0.12 m/s,内过滤系统适宜设置于反应器中上部靠近器壁的位置。  相似文献

In this work, the influence of structured packing on gas holdup in gas-liquid-solid dispersions has been studied. The experiments were carried out in an empty column and in column containing structured packing operating under identical conditions. Glass beads and silicon carbide particles were used as the solid material and the volumetric fraction of solids was varied from 0% to around 10%. The liquid viscosity was strongly modified using water, CMC solution and glycerol. The experimental results obtained with both columns were compared with previous results obtained in two-phase bubble columns. The influence of structured packing on the total gas holdup for different superficial gas velocities was found to be similar with and without suspended solids. Therefore, the results obtained in this work were analysed on the basis of correlations derived earlier for gas-liquid dispersions. Excepting the results obtained with glycerol, these correlations can predict the gas holdup of three-phase bubble columns with reasonable accuracy.  相似文献

炼油工艺原料的重质化,劣质化越来越严重,人们对环境的保护意识增强,对轻质油品质量的要求提高,而环流反应器因具有结构简单、操作方便、能耗低、传质及传热效果好等特点受到越来越多的关注.研究了有分离器带翅片倒流筒的环流反应器气含率.实验在室温、压力0.2 MPa、水-空气两相物系的实验条件下,以有分离器带翅片导流筒的环流反应器(高为1370 mm、直径为100 mm)为主要研究对象.实验研究了表观气速、轴向高度、底部间隙、顶部间隙、翅片导流筒以及气液分离器与上升区局部气含率和整体平均气含率的关系.  相似文献

Counter current bubble columns have the feature that specific gas-liquid interfacial area and gas holdup are larger than those for standard and cocurrent bubble columns. In this study, three different flow regimes, churn-turbulent flow, bubble flow and bubble down-flow, have been observed in a counter-current bubble column and correlations of gas holdup and volumetric liquid-phase mass transfer coefficient have been proposed as functions of operating variables such as the superficial velocities of gas and liquid, the gas-liquid slip velocity and the liquid properties.  相似文献

In this work, mixing experiments and numerical simulations of flow and macro-mixing were carried out in a 0.24 m i.d. gas-liquid stirred tank agitated by a Rushton turbine. The conductivity technique was used to measure the mixing time. A two-phase CFD (computational fluid dynamics) model was developed to calculate the flow field, k and ε distributions and holdup. Comparison between the predictions and the reported experimental data [Lu, W.M., Ju, S.J., 1987. Local gas holdup, mean liquid velocity and turbulence in an aerated stirred tank using hot-film anemometry. Chemical Engineering Journal 35 (1), 9-17] of flow field and holdup at same conditions were investigated and good agreements have been got. As the complexity of gas-liquid systems, there was still no report on the prediction of mixing time through CFD models in a gas-liquid stirred tank. In this paper, the two-phase CFD model was extended for the prediction of the mixing time in the gas-liquid stirred tank for the first time. The effects of operating parameters such as impeller speed, gas flow rate and feed position on the mixing time were compared. Good agreements between the simulations and experimental values of the mixing time have also been achieved.  相似文献

对高气速、高固含率、大塔径条件下的湍动浆态床平均气含率和气含率径向分布进行了实验测定,结合工业实验数据,归纳出可用于工业条件的气含率计算关联式,给出了简化的流体力学模型用于气含率分布的模拟。结果表明,浆态床气含率将随塔径增加而降低,固含率与塔径之间存在交互影响;同时,气含率的径向分布也随气速和塔径的增大而改变,存在明显的放大效应,简化模型能够较好地模拟实验结果。  相似文献

This paper reports measurements of droplet sizes and holdup in liquid—liquid systems in a 2 in. dia. reciprocating plate extraction column, in the absence of mass transfer.The Sauter mean droplet diameter was found to depend on the product of plate amplitude and frequency and on the system properties, but it was not in general affected by the throughput. It could be correlated fairly well using a turbulent dispersion model similar to that which has been applied successfully to dispersions in stirred tanks.A simple hydrodynamic model is proposed for the holdup, assuming the droplet diameter to depend on turbulent energy dissipation. This model is consistent with the experimental data if it is assumed that droplets in kerosene undergo hindered circulation while droplets in methyl isobutyl ketone circulate freely. The model also agrees with some previously published data on holdup in a gas—liquid system in a pulsed column, assuming that the gas bubbles circulate freely.  相似文献

The turbulence behavior of gas-liquid two-phase flow plays an important role in heat transfer and mass transfer in many chemical processes. In this work, a 2D particle image velocimetry (PIV) was used to investigate the turbulent characteristic of fluid induced by a chain of bubbles rising in Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids. The instantaneous flow field, turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) and TKE dissipation rate were measured. The results demonstrated that the TKE profiles were almost symmetrical along the column center and showed higher values in the central region of the column. The TKE was enhanced with the increase of gas flow and decrease of liquid viscosity. The maximum TKE dissipation rate appeared on both sides of the bubble chain, and increased with the increase of gas flow rate or liquid viscosity. These results provide an understanding for gas-liquid mass transfer in non-Newtonian fluids.  相似文献

计算流体力学与群体平衡模型(CFD-PBM)结合可有效地模拟鼓泡塔内流体行为,较准确地预测流场、相含率以及局部气泡尺寸分布。以直径100 mm、高1.3 m的加温加压鼓泡塔为模拟对象,在系统压力为1 MPa、表观气速为0.08~0.24 m/s、温度为30~160℃条件下系统地考察了空气-水体系的表观气速、温度以及固含率对平均气含率、大小气泡气含率、气泡直径和气泡尺寸分布等参数的影响。结果表明,平均气含率的模拟结果和实验值在10%的误差范围内吻合较好;温度的变化主要影响了塔内气泡的聚并和破碎,并用聚并破碎的机理解释了温度对其流体行为的影响。  相似文献

采用欧拉-欧拉双流体模型对圆柱形鼓泡塔内气液两相流动进行了三维数值模拟. 通过UDF自定义程序对气相出口边界进行了速度修正,解决了模拟中自由区域内有漩涡的问题;分别使用单一气泡尺寸模型和群体平衡模型(PBM)计算气泡尺寸,并比较其对气含率分布的预测结果,分别采用Schiller-Naumann, Grace和Tomiyama曳力系数模型进行模拟. 结果表明,在全塔径均匀进气的简化条件下,单一气泡尺寸模型不适用,在合适的Hamaker数下,PBM模型中原用于颗粒计算的Abrahamson模型可计算气泡聚并速率;Tomiyama曳力模型耦合PBM模型可更好地描述塔内流动情况,并与文献值吻合良好. Schiller-Naumann模型所得平均气含率与实验值相差约40%,而Grace模型所得湍动耗散比Tomiyama的结果高14.5%,气含率分布与文献值相差16.3%.  相似文献

倾斜管柱气液两相流持液率的计算方法在石油工业中具有重要地位。采用Beggs-Brill相关式、Mukherjee-Brill相关式、Eaton相关式和杜克勒Ⅱ相关式计算了倾斜管柱的持液率,通过实验手段测量相同气液体积流量下,不同角度的持液率数据,分析了上述4种计算式的准确性,发现Beggs-Brill相关式比较准确。对Beggs-Brill相关式进行了分析,发现当其他条件一定时,其计算的持液率关于管柱倾斜角度具有一定的对称性,对称轴为50°,倾斜角度为90°时和10°时计算的持液率相等,结合所测量的实验数据,做出曲线发现在倾斜角度在45°到60°之间持液率最大,倾斜角度为90°的持液率与为10°的持液率比较接近,同时持液率随角度的变化具有一定的对称性。  相似文献

在考虑雷诺应力的基础上,建立了底吹钢包中气液两相区流体流动的两段模型。这一模型可用于计算近喷嘴处和浮羽流区各截面处两相流的平均速度、速度分布、流股直径和平均含气率等.数值计算表明:理论含气率与实验值符合很好.计算还表明:平均含气率和平均速度随高度的增大而减小,但流股直径随高度的增大而增大.另一方面,平均速度随初始供气量的增大而增大,而抽引比则随供气量增大而减小.通过两段模型可很好地描述喷嘴处气液流的行为.  相似文献
