A series of Ce3+, Tb3+, Eu3+ tri‐doped Ba2Y(BO3)2Cl red‐emitting phosphor have been synthesized by solid‐state method. The Ce3+→Tb3+→Eu3+ energy‐transfer scheme has been proposed to realize the sensitization of Eu3+ ion emission by Ce3+ ions. Following this energy‐transfer model, near‐UV convertible Eu3+‐activated red phosphors have been obtained in Ba2Y(BO3)2Cl: Ce3+, Tb3+, Eu3+ phosphors. Energy transfers from Ce3+ to Tb3+, and Tb3+ to Eu3+, as well as corresponding energy‐transfer efficiencies are investigated. The combination of narrow‐line red emission and near‐UV broadband excitation makes Ba2Y(BO3)2Cl: Ce3+, Tb3+, Eu3+ as a novel and efficient red phosphor for NUV LED applications.  相似文献

Ce3+ and Tb3+ singly doped and co-doped GdAl3(BO3)4 phosphors were synthesized by solid state reaction. The crystal structure, the luminescent properties, the lifetimes and the temperature-dependent luminescence characteristic of the phosphors were investigated. Through an effective energy transfer, the emission spectra of GdAl3(BO3)4:Ce3+, Tb3+ phosphor contains both a broad band in the range of 330–400 nm originated from Ce3+ ions and a series of sharp peaks at 484, 541, 583, and 623 nm due to Tb3+ ions. The energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ in GdAl3(BO3)4 host is demonstrated to be phonon assisted nonradiative energy transfer via a dipole–dipole interaction.  相似文献

This work presents the ultraviolet–visible spectroscopic properties of Ba3Y2(BO3)4:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors prepared by a high‐temperature solid‐state reaction. Under ultraviolet light excitation, tunable emission from the blue to yellowish‐green region was obtained by changing the doping concentration of Tb3+ when the content of Ce3+ is fixed. The efficient energy transfer process between Ce3+ and Tb3+ ions was observed and confirmed in terms of corresponding excitation and emission spectra. In addition, the energy transfer mechanism between Ce3+ and Tb3+ was proved to be dipole–dipole interaction in Ba3Y2(BO3)4:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphor. By utilizing the principle of energy transfer and appropriate tuning of Ce3+/Tb3+ contents, Ba3Y(BO3)4:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors can have potential application as an UV‐convertible phosphor for near‐UV excited white light‐emitting diodes.  相似文献

A series of single-component blue, green and red phosphors have been fabricated based on the Ca3Gd(GaO)3(BO3)4 host through doping of the Ce3+/Tb3+/Eu3+ ions, and their crystal structure and photoluminescence properties have been discussed in detail. A terbium bridge model via Ce3+ → Tb3+ → Eu3+ energy transfer has been studied. The emission colours of the phosphors can be tuned from blue (0.1661, 0.0686) to green (0.3263, 0.4791) and eventually to red (0.5284, 0.4040) under a single 344 nm UV excitation as the result of the Ce3+ → Tb3+ → Eu3+ energy transfer. The energy transfer mechanisms of Ce3+ → Tb3+ and Tb3+ → Eu3+ were found to be dipole-dipole interactions. Importantly, Ca3Gd(GaO)3(BO3)4:Ce3+,Tb3+,Eu3+ phosphors had high internal quantum efficiency. Moreover, the study on the temperature-dependent emission spectra revealed that the Ca3Gd(GaO)3(BO3)4:Ce3+,Tb3+,Eu3+ phosphors possessed good thermal stability. The above results indicate that the phosphors can be applied into white light-emitting diodes as single-component multi-colour phosphors.  相似文献

A series of single-phase white-light-emitting phosphors, Eu2+-activated Ba3GdNa(PO4)3F phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reactions. The crystal structure of Ba3GdNa(PO4)3F was been identified by Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction pattern. The Eu2+-activated Ba3GdNa(PO4)3F phosphors exhibit broad excitation spectra from 250 to 420 nm, which matched well with the n-UV LED chips. Under the excitation of 365 nm, the emission spectrum almost covered the entire visible region including two emission bands peaked at 472 nm and 640 nm. Three different Eu2+ emission centers in Ba3GdNa(PO4)3F:Eu2+ phosphor were confirmed by their fluorescence decay lifetimes. The optimal concentration of Eu2+ in Ba3GdNa(PO4)3F:xEu2+ was 3 mol% and the corresponding concentration quenching mechanism was verified to be exchange coupling interaction. Furthermore, the white light-emitting diode fabricated with Ba3GdNa(PO4)3F:0.05Eu2+ phosphor and a 370 nm UV chip has a CIE of (0.3267, 0.2976) with a color-rendering index of 78.4 at the CCT of 5287 K.  相似文献

Ce3+ and Tb3+ co-doped Sr2B2O5 phosphors were synthesized by the solid-state method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to characterize the phase structure. The luminescent properties of Ce3+ and Tb3+ co-doped Sr2B2O5 phosphors were investigated by using the photoluminescence emission, excitation spectra and reflectance spectra, respectively. The excitation spectra indicate that this phosphor can be effectively excited by near ultraviolet (n-UV) light of 317 nm. Under the excitation of 317 nm, Sr2B2O5:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors exhibited blue emission corresponding to the fd transition of Ce3+ ions and green emission bands corresponding to the ff transition of Tb3+ ions, respectively. The Reflectance spectra of the Sr2B2O5:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors are noted that combine with Ce3+ and Tb3+ ion absorptions. Effective energy transfer occurred from Ce3+ to Tb3+ in Sr2B2O5 host due to the observed spectra overlap between the emission spectrum of Ce3+ ion and the excitation spectrum of Tb3+ ion. The energy transfer efficiency from Ce3+ ion to Tb3+ ion was also calculated to be 90%. The phosphor Sr2B2O5:Ce3+,Tb3+ could be considered as one of double emission phosphor for n-UV excited white light emitting diodes.  相似文献

A series of emission-tunable Ca3SiO4Cl2:Bi3+, Li+, Eun+(n =2, 3) (CSC:Bi3+, Li+, Eun+) phosphors have been synthesized via sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction results indicate that the as-synthesized phosphors crystallize in a low temperature phase with the space group of P21/c. Energy transfer from Bi3+ to Eu3+/Eu2+ exists in CSC:Bi3+, Li+, Eun+ phosphors. Under the excitation of 327 or 365 nm, the Ca2.98−ySiO4Cl2:0.01Bi3+, 0.01Li+, yEun+(y=0.0001–0.002) phosphors show an intense green emission band around 505 nm, while under the excitation of 264 nm, three emission bands centered around 396 nm (Bi3+), 505 nm (Eu2+) and 614 nm (Eu3+) are observed and tunable colors from blue-violet to green or white are achieved in these phosphors by varying the content of Eu. White-light emission with the color coordinate (0.312, 0.328) is obtained in Ca2.978SiO4Cl2:0.01Bi3+, 0.01Li+, 0.002Eun+(n =2, 3). Based on these results, the as-prepared CSC:Bi3+, Li+, Eu2+, Eu3+ phosphors can act as color-tunable and single-phase white emission phosphors for potential applications in UV-excited white LEDs.  相似文献

A new borate phosphor NaBaY(BO3)2: Ce3+, Tb3+ (NBY:Ce3+, Tb3+) was successfully synthesized under low temperature designed to put into application in the fields of ultraviolet (UV)‐excited light emitting diodes (LEDs) and field emission displays (FEDs). The structure distortion between Ce3+, Tb3+ single‐ and co‐doping NBY was discussed by X‐ray powder diffraction Rietveld refinement, high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and spectra. NBY: Ce3+, Tb3+ presents a wide absorption band ranging from 310 to 400 nm and efficient green emission (λmax = 542 nm) with a full‐width at half‐maximum of 3.3 nm. The remarkable thermal stability has also been tested, indicating that the intensity at 200°C is still beyond 70% of the original intensity. In addition, a white LED device was manufactured by connecting a 370 nm UV chip with a blend of BaMaAl10O17: Eu2+ (BAM: Eu2+), NBY: Ce3+, Tb3+ and CaAlSiN3: Eu2+. The color coordinate, correlated color temperature and color rendering index of the manufactured LED device were (0.335, 0.347), 5511 K and 80.16, respectively. Meanwhile, the cathodoluminescence (CL) spectra under the various conditions of probe currents and accelerating voltages were also analyzed. Through successive excitation of low‐voltage electron‐beam, the wonderful performances of degradation property and color stability were obtained. These results suggest that the green‐emitting NBY: Ce3+, Tb3+ phosphor has the prospect of becoming applications in white UV LEDs and FEDs.  相似文献

A series of single-phase Eu3+, Tb3+, Bi3+ co-doped LaPO4 phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction at 800 °C. Crystal structures of the phosphors were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). A monoclinic phase was confirmed. The excitation (PLE) and emission (PL) spectra showed that the phosphors could emit red light centered at 591 nm under the 392 nm excitation, which is in good agreement with the emission wavelength from near-ultraviolet (n-UV) LED chip (370–410 nm). The results of PLE and PL indicated that the co-doped Tb3+ and Bi3+could enhance emission of Eu3+ and the fluorescent intensities of the phosphors excited at 392 nm could reach to a maximum value when the doping molar concentration of Tb3+ and Bi3+ is about 2.0% and 2.0%, respectively. The co-doping Tb3+ and Bi3+ ions can strengthen the absorption of near UV region. They can also be efficient to sensitize the emission of Eu3+, indicating that the energy transfer occurs from Tb3+ and Bi3+ to Eu3+ ions. From further investigation it can be found that co-doping Tb3+ and Bi3+ ions can also induce excitation energy reassignment between 5D07F1 and 5D07F2 in these phosphors, and result in more energy assignment to 5D07F2 emission in LaPO4:Eu3+, Tb3+, Bi3+. Our research results displayed that La0.94PO4:Eu3+0.02, Tb3+0.02, Bi3+0.02 could be a new one and could provide a potential red-emitting phosphor for UV-based white LED.  相似文献

A novel green phosphor composed of Ca4LaO(BO3)3:Tb3+ (CLBO:Tb) has been synthesized by a combustion method with urea. Its crystal structure, temperature-dependent luminescence, and quantum yield (QY) have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) spectra with heating device and integrate sphere. No concentration quenching has been observed when all of La3+ ions are substituted with Tb3+ ions. Green phosphor Ca4TbO(BO3)3 (CTBO) has 200% luminescence intensity of commercially available phosphor LaPO4:Ce, Tb (LPO:Ce, Tb) under 378 nm excitation. The QY of CTBO is as high as 98%. Through a Dexter energy transfer mechanism, Eu3+ ions are efficiently sensitized by Tb3+, resulting in an emission with color tunable from green to red under ultraviolet excitation. A possible mechanism of energy transfer from Tb3+ to Eu3+ has been investigated by PL spectra and decay measurements. The energy transfer efficiency from Tb3+ to Eu3+ increases linearly with concentration of Eu3+ increasing.  相似文献

CdSiO3: Mn2+, Tb3+ long-lasting phosphor was prepared by the conventional high temperature solid-state method. Effects of the content of Mn2+ and Tb3+ on the luminescent properties of phosphor CdSiO3: Mn2+, Tb3+ were investigated by means of photoluminescence (PL) spectra, the afterglow intensity decay curves and the thermoluminescence (TL) spectra. It was found that when the Mn2+ and Tb3+ dopant-concentrations were 0.4 mol% and 0.8 mol% of Cd2+ ions in CdSiO3, respectively, the luminescence of phosphor prepared had better luminescent property and longer afterglow time. Role of Tb3+ co-doped into CdSiO3: Mn2+ matrix was discussed in this paper.  相似文献

This paper reports the preparation of Eu3+ doped Gadolinium oxyorthosilicate (Gd2SiO5:Eu3+) phosphor with different concentration of Eu3+(0.1–2.5 mol%) using the modified solid state reaction method. The synthesis procedure of the Gd2SiO5:Eu3+phosphor using inorganic materials such as Gd2O3, silicon dioxide (SiO2), europium oxide (Eu2O3) and boric acid (H3BO3) as flux is discussed in detail. The prepared phosphor samples were characterized by using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Gun Scanning Electron Microscopy (FEGSEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Photoluminescence (PL) and Thermoluminescence (TL). The Commission Internationale de l′Eclairage(CIE) coordinates were also calculated. The PL emission was observed in the 350–630 nm range for the Gd2SiO5:Eu3+ phosphor. PL excitation peaks were observed at 266, 275, 312 and 395 nm while the emission peaks were observed at 380, 416, 437, 545, 579, 589, 607, 615 and 628 nm. The emission peak at 615 nm was the most intense peak for all the different Eu3+ concentration samples. From the XRD data, using the Scherrer's formula, the average crystallite size of the Gd2SiO5:Eu3+ phosphor was calculated to be 33 nm. TL was carried out for the phosphor after both UV and gamma irradiation. The TL response of the Gd2SiO5:Eu3+ phosphor for the two different radiations was compared and studied in detail. It was found that the present phosphor can acts as a single host for red emission (1.5 mol%) for display devices and light emitting diode (LED) and white light emission for Eu3+(0.1 mol%) and it might be used as a TL dosimetric material for gamma dose detection.  相似文献

Yellow emitting Ca2BO3Cl:Eu2+ phosphor was prepared by solid state reaction at 900 °C. The particle was monoclinic crystal structure, and showed broad band emission at around 540–590 nm due to the 5d–4f transition. Single Ca2BO3Cl:Eu2+ phosphor converted white LED exhibited the CIE coordinates of (0.3441, 0.2675) with low CRI of 67.4. Hybridization of Ca2BO3Cl:Eu2+ with 535 and 610 nm emitting CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals contributed to increasing white spectrum and generated the warm color temperature (4055 K) with high CRI (83.9) of white light. The acceptable color stability was also observed from (0.3687, 0.3051) at 20 mA to (0.3645, 0.3101) at 80 mA.  相似文献

K+ ions incorporated perovskite Ba(1−x)TiO3:x Eu3+ red emitting phosphors synthesized via facile solid -state reaction method has been investigated in the current study. The photoluminescence and decay time behavior of Ba(1−x−y)TiO3:x Eu3+,yK+ phosphors are investigated as a function of Eu3+, K+ concentration and temperature. An intense and sharp emission peak at 615 nm was exhibited by the phosphors upon excitation at 397 nm (7F05L6). It can be credited to the hypersensitive electric dipole transition 5D07F2, which confirms that Eu3+ ions are located at non-centrosymmetric site of the host. The incorporation of K+ ions in optimized Ba0.95TiO3:0.05 Eu3+ phosphor resulted in a remarkable enhancement of photoluminescence intensity by 2.33 times as compared to bare one. The Ba0.89TiO3:0.05 Eu3+, 0.06 K+ phosphors were found to observe good temperature sensing along with adequate thermal stability even at 427 K. Furthermore, the photometric parameters have been also studied which are strongly facilitate the prepared ceramic samples as suitable for potential application in lighting.  相似文献

A series of green-to-red color-tunable Sr3La(PO4)3:Tb3+, Eu3+ phosphors were prepared by high temperature solid-state method. The crystal structures, photoluminescence properties, fluorescence lifetimes, and energy transfer of Sr3La(PO4)3:Tb3+, Eu3+ were systematically investigated in detail. The obtained phosphors show both a green emission from Tb3+ and a red emission from Eu3+ with considerable intensity under ultraviolet (UV) excitation (~377 nm). The emission colors of the phosphors can be tuned from green (0.304, 0.589) through yellow (0.401, 0.505) and eventually to red (0.557, 0.392) due to efficient Tb3+-Eu3+ energy transfer (ET). The Tb3+→Eu3+ energy transfer process was demonstrated to be quadrupole-quadrupole mechanism by Inokuti-Hirayama model, with maximum ET efficiency of 86.3%. The results indicate that the Sr3La(PO4)3:Tb3+, Eu3+ phosphors might find potential applications in the field of lighting and displays.  相似文献

A series of Ba2B2O5: RE (RE=Ce3+/Tb3+/Sm3+) phosphors were synthesized using high‐temperature solid‐state reaction. The X‐ray diffraction (XRD), luminescent properties, and decay lifetimes are utilized to characterize the properties of the phosphors. The obtained phosphors can emit blue, green, and orange‐red light when single‐doped Ce3+, Tb3+, and Sm3+. The energy can transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ and Tb3+ to Sm3+ in Ba2B2O5, but not from Ce3+ to Sm3+ in Ce3+ and Sm3+ codoped in Ba2B2O5. However, the energy can transfer from Ce3+ to Sm3+ through the bridge role of Tb3+. We obtain white emission based on energy transfer of Ce3+→Tb3+→Sm3+ ions. These results reveal that Ce3+/Tb3+/Sm3+ can interact with each other in Ba2B2O5, and Ba2B2O5 may be a potential candidate host for white‐light‐emitting phosphors.  相似文献

To obtain warm white-light emission, a series of Ca9MgNa(PO4)7:Sr2+, Mn2+, Ln (Ln=Eu2+, Yb3+, Er3+, Ho3+, and Tm3+) phosphors were designed and their photoluminescence properties under near-ultraviolet and near-infrared excitation were studied. For near-ultraviolet excitation, blue-white emission is produced initially in the Eu2+ single-doped Ca9MgNa(PO4)7, whose excitation band can well match with the near ultraviolet LED chip. By introducing Sr2+ ions into Ca9MgNa(PO4)7:Eu2+, the Eu2+ emission band beyond 500 nm is enhanced obviously. Correspondingly, the emitting light color is tuned to nearly white. To generate warm white light further, Mn2+ is doped into the Ca8.055MgNa(PO4)7:0.045Eu2+, 0.9Sr2+ and the correlated color temperature is decreased largely. For near-infrared excitation, the green, red, and blue emissions have been obtained in the Yb3+-Er3+, Yb3+-Er3+, and Yb3+-Er3+ co-doped Ca9MgNa(PO4)7 phosphors, respectively. And warm white light is also produced in the Ca9MgNa(PO4)7:Yb3+, Er3+, Ho3+, Tm3+ under 980 nm excitation.  相似文献

To enhance the display quality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), it is of great significance to exploit green/yellow-emitting phosphors with narrow emission band, high quantum yield, and excellent color purity to satisfy the application. Herein, orthophosphate-based green/yellow-emitting Na3Tb(PO4)2:Ce3+/Eu2+ (NTPO:Ce3+/Eu2+) phosphors have been successfully synthesized by a facile solid-state reaction method. The absorption band of NTPO samples was extended to the near-ultraviolet region and the absorption efficiency was significantly improved owing to a highly efficient energy transfer from Ce3+/Eu2+ ion to Tb3+ ion in NTPO host certified by time-resolved PL spectra. Upon 300 nm excitation, the NTPO:Ce3+ is characterized by ultra-narrow-band green emission of Tb3+ with an absolute quantum yield of 94.5%. Unexpectedly, NTPO:Eu2+ emits bright yellow light with a color purity of 73% as a result of the blending of green light emission from Tb3+ and red light emission from Eu3+. The thermal stability has been improved by controlling the stoichiometric ratio of Na+. The prototype white LED used yellow-emitting NTPO:Eu2+ phosphor has higher color-rendering index (Ra = 83.5), lower correlated color temperature (CCT = 5206 K), and closer CIE color coordinates (0.338, 0.3187) to the standard white point at (0.333, 0.333) than that used green-emitting NTPO:Ce3+ phosphor, indicating the addition of the yellow light component improved the Ra of the trichromatic (RGB) materials.  相似文献

In this work, we prepared CaSr1-xAl2SiO7:xCe3+ (0.03 ≤ x ≤ 0.12) and CaSr0.94Al2SiO7:0.03Ce3+,0.03 M+ (M+ = Li+ and Na+) phosphors via solid-state reaction method. Structural and photoluminescence (PL) properties of the phosphors were also investigated. The prepared phosphors formed an orthorhombic crystal structure with the P212121 space group. CaSr1-xAl2SiO7:xCe3+ phosphors were effectively excited by near-ultraviolet (UV) light (345 nm), which is suitable with the emission of near-UV light emitting diode chips. A broad blue emission (402 nm) was detected in CaSr1-xAl2SiO7:xCe3+ and CaSr0.94Al2SiO7:0.03Ce3+,0.03 M+ phosphors; this was attributed to the 4f05d1 → 4f1 transition of Ce3+. To maintain charge equilibrium, charge compensators, such as monovalent Li+ and Na+ ions, were doped into the CaSr0.97Al2SiO7:0.03Ce3+ phosphor, significantly improving its PL properties. The strongest emission intensity was achieved in CaSr0.94Al2SiO7:0.03Ce3+,0.03Li+ phosphor. Addition of Li+ charge compensator was highly effective in improving PL properties of CaSr0.97Al2SiO7:0.03Ce3+ phosphors.  相似文献
