随着存储系统的访问速度与处理器运算速度的差距越来越显著,访存性能已成为提高处理器性能的瓶颈.通过对程序的访存行为进行分析,提出快速地址计算的自适应栈高速缓存方案.该方案将栈访问从数据高速缓存的访问中分离出来,充分利用栈空间数据访问的特点,提高指令级并行度,减少数据高速缓存污染,降低数据高速缓存失效率,并采用快速地址计算策略,减少栈访问的命中时间.该栈高速缓存在发生栈溢出时能够自适应地关闭,以避免栈切换对处理器性能的影响.栈高速缓存标志中增加进程标识,进程切换时不需要将数据写到低层存储系统中,适用于多进程环境.SPEC CPU2000程序运行结果表明,采用快速地址计算的自适应栈高速缓存方案,25.8%的访存指令可以并行执行,数据高速缓存失效率平均降低9.4%,IPC值平均提高6.9%.  相似文献

非易失性存储器具有能耗低、可扩展性强和存储密度大等优势,可替代传统静态随机存取存储器作为片上缓存,但其写操作的能耗及延迟较高,在大规模应用前需优化写性能。提出一种基于缓存块重用信息的动态旁路策略,用于优化非易失性存储器的缓存性能。分析测试程序访问最后一级缓存(LLC)时的重用特征,根据缓存块的重用信息动态预测相应的写操作是否绕过非易失性缓存,利用预测表进行旁路操作完成LLC缺失时的填充,同时采用动态路径选择进行上级缓存写回操作,通过监控模块为旁路的缓存块选择合适的上级缓存,并将重用计数较高的缓存块填充其中以减少LLC写操作次数。实验结果表明,与未采用旁路策略的缓存设计相比,该策略使4核处理器中所有SPLASH-2程序的运行时间平均减少6.6%,缓存能耗平均降低22.5%,有效提高了整体缓存性能。  相似文献

针对超标量处理器中长周期执行指令延迟退休及持续译码导致的重排序缓存(ROB)阻塞问题,提出一种指令乱序提交机制。通过设计容量可配置的多缓存指令提交结构,实现存储器操作指令和ALU类型指令的分类退休,根据超标量处理器架构及性能需求对目标缓存和存储缓存容量进行参数化配置降低流水线阻塞风险,同时利用指令目的寄存器编码提交模式加快指令提交速率。实验结果表明,该机制提高了单次指令提交数量,基于该机制的超标量处理器相比传统基于ROB顺序提交机制的超标量处理器在减少硬件开销的情况下平均IPC指数提升46%,相比基于值预测、乱序退休和组提交的超标量处理器平均IPC指数增益为19%,综合性能更优。  相似文献

嵌入式多核系统性能提高的关键在于灵活的存储体系.文中提出并设计实现了一种可共享多通道便签存储器,所设计存储器可作为嵌入式多核系统中的共享存储器使用.该存储器采用模块化设计方法,利用多体交又的连接方式提高存储器带宽并提供两种访问模式.其中私有访问模式对非本地SPM通道的写禁止降低了存储一致性的维护开销.实验结果表明,与Cache存储器相比,该存储器应用于嵌入式多核系统可以提高程序运行性能约6%,节省约48%的功耗.  相似文献

片上多处理器中二级cache的设计面临着延迟和容量不能同时满足的矛盾,私有结构有较小的命中延迟但是减少了cache的有效容量,共享结构能增加cache的有效容量但是有较长的命中延迟.提出了一种适用于CMP的cache结构--延迟和容量权衡的cache结构(TCLC).该结构是一种混合私有结构和共享结构的设计,核心思想是动态识别cache块的共享类型,根据不同共享类型分别对其进行优化,对私有cache块采用迁移的优化策略,对共享只读cache块采用复制的优化策略,对共享读写cache块采用中心放置的优化策略,以期达到访问延迟接近私有结构,有效容量接近共享结构的目的,从而缓解线延迟的影响,减少平均内存访问延迟.全系统模拟的实验结果表明,采用TCLC结构,相对于私有结构性能平均提高13.7%.相对于共享结构性能平均提高12%.  相似文献

当前,大数据及人工智能技术向嵌入式系统发展,对嵌入式系统的存储访问能力提出了更高要求.磁畴壁存储器凭借其高读写速度、高密度以及低功耗等优点,可以用于嵌入式系统以满足数据密集型应用对访问速度、容量及能耗的需求.但是磁畴壁存储器在进行数据访问之前需要进行移动操作,这将极大的影响其存储访问性能.而减少移动操作可以有效提升磁畴壁存储器的性能.本文面向运行数据密集型应用的多读/写头磁畴壁存储器系统,研究减少移动操作的最优指令调度与数据放置技术.本文首先提出了可获得最小移动次数的ILP模型.由于ILP模型不能在多项式时间内求得最优解,所以提出了多项式时间的启发式算法——生成指令调度和数据放置(GISDP)算法.实验结果表明ILP模型和GISDP算法可以有效的减少移动操作次数.在配备8个读/写头的磁畴壁存储器上,GISDP算法生成的指令调度与数据放置方案相较其他算法可以平均减少89.7%的移动操作,并且GISDP算法的结果接近ILP模型的最优解.  相似文献

为解决大量工业远程监控数据在通用分组无线服务(GPRS)网络上的传输延迟问题,提出了基于改进科学计算浮点数压缩(FPC)算法的工业远程监控数据无损压缩方法.首先,根据工业监控数据中浮点数部分的特点对原FPC算法中的预测器结构进行改进,并将该改进算法作为浮点数部分的压缩算法; 然后,与区间编码相结合作为整个数据域的压缩方法.改进前后的浮点数部分压缩实验结果表明改进的FPC算法提高了预测器的预测精度,且在保持较高压缩效率的同时提高了压缩率.与通用无损压缩算法相比,所提算法提高了12%以上的平均压缩率,减少了38.5%以上的平均压缩时间,使得传输时间降低了23.7%以上,在传输数据量大且传输速率不高的情况下大大提高了监控的实时性.  相似文献

动态随机存取存储器DRAM一直以来以其低功耗、高性价比和良好的扩展性等优点作为计算机内存的最佳选择。为了提高内存的访问速度,DRAM中的每个Bank都有一个行缓冲区,它可以有效地提升局部性良好的应用程序的性能。然而在多核系统中,DRAM被系统中的所有Core共享,因此对内存的并发访问会导致Bank行缓冲区冲突问题的产生,从而导致内存访问延迟的增大。共享库作为一种共享资源,使Bank行缓冲区冲突问题更加严重。虽然目前有一些基于DRAM Bank分区技术的解决方案可以有效缓解由进程访问私有内存导致的Bank行缓冲区冲突问题,但是这些解决方案无法解决访问共享库引起的Bank行缓冲区冲突问题。该文提出了一种在多核系统中利用Bank分区实现共享库隔离的方案(ISMB)。ISMB使运行在同一个Core上的进程只能访问属于该Core的共享库的副本,因此ISMB消除了共享库导致的Bank行缓冲区冲突问题。对比实验结果表明,ISMB能够有效地提升系统隔离性能,在使用ISMB的情况下,SPEC CPU2006基准测试程序的减速率最大可降低26.3%。  相似文献

为了设计一种具有低成本、低功耗、易操作、功能强且可靠性高的煤矿井下安全分站,针对煤矿安全生产实际,文章提出了采用MCS-51系列单片机为核心、具有CAN总线通信接口的煤矿井下安全监控分站的设计方案;首先给出煤矿井下安全监控分站的整体构架设计,然后着重阐述模拟量输入信号处理系统的设计过程,最后说明单片机最小系统及其键盘、显示、报警、通信等各个组成部分的设计;为验证设计方案的可行性与有效性,使用Proteus软件对设计内容进行仿真验证,设计的煤矿井下安全监控分站具有瓦斯、温度等模拟量参数超标报警功能和电机开停、风门开闭等开关量指示功能;仿真结果表明:设计的煤矿井下安全监控分站具有一定的实际应用价值.  相似文献

Development of software intensive systems (systems) in practice involves a series of self-contained phases for the lifecycle of a system. Semantic and temporal gaps, which occur among phases and among developer disciplines within and across phases, hinder the ongoing development of a system because of the interdependencies among phases and among disciplines. Such gaps are magnified among systems that are developed at different times by different development teams, which may limit reuse of artifacts of systems development and interoperability among the systems. This paper presents control charts models and the necessary simulation software for the location of economic values of the control parameters. The simulation program is written in FORTRAN, requires only 10K of main storage, and can run on most mini and micro computers. Two models are presented - one describes the process when it is operating at full capacity and the other when the process is operating under capacity. The models allow the product quality to deteriorate to a further level before an existing out-of-control state is detected, and they can also be used in situations where no prior knowledge exists of the out-of-control causes and the resulting proportion defectives.  相似文献

Going through a few examples of robot artists who are recognized worldwide, we try to analyze the deepest meaning of what is called “robot art” and the related art field definition. We also try to highlight its well-marked borders, such as kinetic sculptures, kinetic art, cyber art, and cyberpunk. A brief excursion into the importance of the context, the message, and its semiotics is also provided, case by case, together with a few hints on the history of this discipline in the light of an artistic perspective. Therefore, the aim of this article is to try to summarize the main characteristics that might classify robot art as a unique and innovative discipline, and to track down some of the principles by which a robotic artifact can or cannot be considered an art piece in terms of social, cultural, and strictly artistic interest. In modern service-oriented architectures, database access is done by a special type of services, the so-called data access services (DAS). Though, particularly in data-intensive applications, using and developing DAS are very common today, the link between the DAS and their implementation, e.g. a layer of data access objects (DAOs) encapsulating the database queries, still is not sufficiently elaborated, yet. As a result, as the number of DAS grows, finding the desired DAS for reuse and/or associated documentation can become an impossible task. In this paper we focus on bridging this gap between the DAS and their implementation by presenting a view-based, model-driven data access architecture (VMDA) managing models of the DAS, DAOs and database queries in a queryable manner. Our models support tailored views of different stakeholders and are scalable with all types of DAS implementations. In this paper we show that our view-based and model driven architecture approach can enhance software development productivity and maintainability by improving DAS documentation. Moreover, our VMDA opens a wide range of applications such as evaluating DAS usage for DAS performance optimization. Furthermore, we provide tool support and illustrate the applicability of our VMDA in a large-scale case study. Finally, we quantitatively prove that our approach performs with acceptable response times.  相似文献

Although there are many arguments that logic is an appropriate tool for artificial intelligence, there has been a perceived problem with the monotonicity of classical logic. This paper elaborates on the idea that reasoning should be viewed as theory formation where logic tells us the consequences of our assumptions. The two activities of predicting what is expected to be true and explaining observations are considered in a simple theory formation framework. Properties of each activity are discussed, along with a number of proposals as to what should be predicted or accepted as reasonable explanations. An architecture is proposed to combine explanation and prediction into one coherent framework. Discrepant technological events or situations that entail a problem, a misunderstanding or a difficulty with the Information Technology (IT) being employed, are common in the workplace, and can lead to frustration and avoidance behaviors. Little is known, however, about how individuals cope with these events. This paper examines these events by using a multi-method pragmatic approach informed by coping theory. The results of two studies – a critical incident study and an experiment – serve to build and test, respectively, a theoretical model that posits that individuals use a variety of strategies when dealing with these events: they experience negative emotions, make external attributions, and adopt engagement coping strategies directed at solving the event, eventually switching to a disengagement coping strategy when they feel they have no control over the situation. Furthermore, users’ efforts may result in ‘accidental’ learning as they try to overcome the discrepant IT events through engagement coping. The paper ends with a discussion of the results in light of existing literature, future opportunities for research, and implications for practice.  相似文献
