制作了一种以光纤光栅作为外反馈的半导体激光器。光纤光栅用紫外曝光法制作 ,反射率为 5 0 %。器件在5 0mA注入电流时 ,出纤功率高于 1mW ,主边模抑制比为 42dB。使用对光纤光栅施加应变和改变光栅温度的方法实现了输出激光波长的调谐 ,利用施加应变方法得到了 2nm范围的输出波长变化。  相似文献

提出了一种实用可行的控制光纤光栅波长的电磁调谐技术。实验表明 ,此调谐方法在 30 0mA电流下可达到 1 38nm的调谐范围 ,且具有较好的恢复性。可以应用于可动态配置全光分 /插复用器OADM系统中 ,也可用来对光纤光栅外腔激光器进行调谐和波长锁定 ,并可用于波长调制型传感器。  相似文献

光纤光栅调谐特性的实验研究和分析   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
对光纤光栅的调谐特性进行了简单的理论分析和具体的实验研究,利用徽位移器(精度0.1μm)对光纤光栅进行纵向拉伸实验,实验中采用了先进的高分辨率光谱仪(分辨率为0.004nm)进行测试,实现了高精度的机械调谐和测试。实验结果比较理想,验证了理论分析的结果,两根光纤光栅分别实现调谐范围6.320nm和5.762nm,光纤光栅每拉伸约0.117%,Bragg波长位移1nm。同时发现,调谐前后的中心Bragg波长、反射率、透射谱几乎不变。  相似文献

在分析了光纤光栅外腔半导体激光器(FBG-ECL)基本特性的基础上,调研了适用于该类型激光器的频率调谐方法,包括温度调谐法和应力调谐法,选取轴向应力调谐法改变光纤光栅的布拉格中心波长,进而实现频率调谐。利用压电陶瓷(PZT)来对光纤光栅施加轴向应力,通过调整PZT驱动电压值的大小来控制光纤光栅布拉格中心波长的变化量。实验结果表明,对于波长1550 nm的光纤光栅激光器,当PZT的驱动电压增加到126 V时,可实现 0.8 nm,即100 GHz的调谐范围以及每周期2 ms的调谐速度。  相似文献

分析了基于弹性梁的光纤光栅调谐原理,引入了轴向直变传递系数的概念,提出利用部分纯弯曲调谐方法,可实现光纤光栅宽带无啁嗽调谐。在实验中,利用部分纯弯曲调谐法,获得了20.1nm的光纤光栅无啁嗽调谐范围,调谐线性拟合度为0.9996,调谐过程中光栅反射谱的3dB带宽变化小于0.07nm,峰值反射率变化小于0.2dB,基本无啁嗽现象产生,实验结果和理论分析一致。  相似文献

提出了一种基于两端固定压杆的光纤光栅(FBG)啁啾度调谐的新方法,在FBG中引入线性应变,实现中心波长无移动啁啾度调谐。结合材料力学分析了FBG啁啾度调谐的原理,仿真分析了啁啾度调谐过程中的光栅反射谱和时延特性。带宽展宽调谐的实验实现了啁啾光纤光栅(CFBG)的带宽从6.52nm增加到12.78nm;而带宽压缩调谐实现了CFBG的带宽从6.57nm压缩到0.95nm。该啁啾度调谐方法在CFBG动态色散补偿以及利用CFBG的带宽信息实现温度无补偿的压力、位移等物理量的传感有着重要应用。  相似文献

利用均质、等厚及等腰梯形的悬臂梁,对刚性粘贴其表面的光纤光栅的布喇格反射中心波长在1557.68~1564.2nm范围内进行了线性调谐,同时带宽为外0.52nm的均匀周期的光纤光栅被调谐成带宽为2.52nm的啁啾光栅,且啁啾量可调。随着带宽的增加,反射谱的峰值功率呈减弱的趋势。  相似文献

报道了一种基于光纤光栅和环形器的高温度稳定性OADM。下载中心波长 15 5 2 .5 2nm ,邻道串扰小于 -2 5dB。采用负热膨胀系数的材料对光纤光栅进行封装 ,在环境温度范围为 -2 0℃~ 60℃时 ,中心波长变化 0 .0 0 2 2nm/℃ ,温度稳定性远高于未补偿光栅指标 0 .0 1nm/℃。  相似文献

研制了一种新型的高性能环形可调谐光纤光栅激光器。该激光器使用980nm LD作为泵浦源,使用长度为10. 8m的新型增益平坦掺铒光纤作为增益介质,采用可调谐光纤光栅滤波器进行波长调谐,调谐范围可达41nm (1528nm~1569nm) ,中心波长可精确调谐到C波段指定的ITU - T标准中心波长处, 3dB 带宽< 0. 08nm, 25dB带宽< 0. 2nm,波长稳定性优于0. 01nm,边模抑制比> 60dB。最大输出功率46. 94mW,功率稳定性优于±0. 02dB,阈值泵浦功率7. 3mW,斜率效率为39. 75%。并分析了不同腔长、不同输出耦合比对输出功率的影响。  相似文献

报道了一种新型全光纤离散可调谐分布反射(DBR)光纤激光器。光纤激光器为短腔结构,其有源区采用Er-Yb共掺单模光纤,有源光纤长度为6 cm。激光器采用两组级联光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)为反射腔镜,前腔镜各级联光纤布拉格光栅的布拉格波长间隔为1 nm,后腔镜为0.8 nm,利用游标原理,通过对前腔镜级联光纤布拉格光栅进行机械调谐,使前后腔镜各反射波长分别对准,实现了四个固定波长间隔为0.8 nm的离散调谐。这种光纤激光器具有波长调节准确,调谐速度快,成本低的优点,可用于作为多波长光纤传输系统的发射光源或系统检测光源,进一步增加级联光栅的组数可实现更大调谐范围。  相似文献

This paper proposes a new bidirectional optical cross connect (BOXC) using fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) and optical circulators for bidirectional wavelength-division-multiplexing ring networks. Dynamic and independent wavelength routing is achieved by employing cascaded tunable FBGs. The proposed BOXC requires a small tuning range equal to wavelength channel spacing for tunable FBGs. Therefore, the wavelength count of the proposed BOXC could be increased easily without imposing constraint on the tuning range of FBGs. Coherent and incoherent crosstalk arising in the proposed BOXC and their impact on the power penalty are studied in detail. The Monte Carlo simulation is used to characterize the probability distribution of the power penalty due to both coherent and incoherent crosstalk under various conditions. The specification requirements are then obtained for the FBGs used in BOXC nodes with a different number of wavelengths. The study in this paper reveals that the requirement for the isolation of FBGs is more stringent than that for the reflectivity of FBGs at the Bragg wavelength. It is also shown that a large BOXC can be built based on the Benes network structure, and a method to reduce the complexity is also presented.  相似文献

We demonstrate a 750-Hz linewidth single-mode erbium-doped fiber (EDF) ring laser with wide tunability using a widely tunable fiber Bragg grating (FBG). The stable single-mode operation is realized by using the FBG as a narrow wavelength-selective element and 4 m of unpumped EDF as a saturable absorber in the cavity. The 40-nm continuous tuning range of 1522-1562 nm is achieved using a highly stretchable FBG that exhibits a filter tuning range of over 52 nm. The grating is prepared with chemically stripped deuterium-loaded fiber to eliminate degrading factors for the grating strength, thereby achieving the wide tunability. A new mechanism to tune an erbium-doped fiber laser in the L-band is presented. The technique is based on the dual-wavelength bistability in overlapping linear cavities, which allows two lasing lines to be switched from one to another by a triggering pulse superimposed to the dc bias current applied to the pump source. The two wavelengths can be independently tuned to give the laser a total tuning range of 33 nm that covers the whole L-band, while the tuning range of either of the tunable fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) used is only half of that range. An output dynamic range of 7 dB, and a maximum output power of up to 11 dBm with high optical signal-to-noise ratios are obtained. A study of the switching transient responses shows that the typical switching time is about 4 to 12 ms, depending on the dc bias current applied to the pump source. Moreover, our wide tuning technique is implemented by only applying ordinary commercial tunable FBGs which normally would have given rise to only about half of the tuning range; no additional filtering mechanisms are required to achieve almost uniform outputs.  相似文献

提出了一种用单片机控制光介质薄膜干涉滤波器探测光纤光栅波长偏移量的方法,并 构建了对外界应力实时检测的光纤光栅应力传感系统。实验中采用了一种超磁致伸缩材料(GMM) ,使光纤布拉格光栅( FBG)产生有效的B ragg波长偏移,用控制电流来调控FBG的应变和Bragg波长偏移;电流加到1A~5A之间时,反射峰的中心波长的偏移量随所加电流呈线性增加的趋势,偏移量达到1. 10nm ( 1551. 94nm~1553. 04nm) 。该系统具有对应力测量结果分辨率高、精度高等优点。  相似文献

We demonstrate an all-fiber wavelength-division-multiplexed optical crossconnect using ultrastrong fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) with wide tunability. These FBGs have 0.2-nm bandwidths and can be tuned over ~52 nm due to a novel grating preparation technique to reduce mechanical strength degradation. There is negligible distortion in the transmission spectra while tuning the grating, and the crossconnect architecture uses cascades of these gratings for WDM operation. The ability to tune these >98% reflectivity gratings completely out of the entire WDM signal band minimizes the leakage of unwanted signal power and leads to the improvements of >10-dB crosstalk and >0.6-dB power penalty compared with conventional gratings  相似文献

A novel method for fabricating dual-wavelength fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) by using one phase mask is developed. The method is based on a double-exposure technique. Our technique lends itself to writing gratings with controllable reflectivity and separation of two Bragg wavelengths. A grating with two equal transmission peaks of 20.25 dB is obtained by this method and the separation of the two Bragg wavelengths is about 0.8 nm. With the grating, we demonstrate a dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber ring laser whose interval of the two peaks is 0.8 nm. The laser's peak powers can get 3.1 mW above and have a good stability.  相似文献
