Independent design of robust partially decentralized controllers   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
An independent design method for robust partially decentralized controllers is developed. In the proposed design method, the partially decentralized control system is first expanded to the nonsquare decentralized structure. Using the Internal Model Control parametrization, the independent design procedure for robust nonsquare decentralized controllers can then be applied directly to the expanded system. Two examples, including a nonlinear stirred mixing tank, are used to illustrate the developed design method and a comparison to a decentralized controller is made.  相似文献

The focus of this paper is on complex systems, and it presents a theoretical study of the design of complex engineering systems. More particularly, this paper studies the stability of equilibria in decentralized design environments. Indeed, the decentralization of decisions is often recommended in the design of complex systems, and the decomposition and coordination of decisions are a great challenge. The mechanisms behind this network of decentralized design decisions create difficult management and coordination issues. However, developing efficient design processes is paramount, especially with market pressures and customer expectations. Standard techniques to modelling and solving decentralized design problems typically fail to understand the underlying dynamics of the decentralized processes and therefore result in suboptimal solutions. This paper aims to model and understand the mechanisms and dynamics behind a decentralized set of decisions within a complex design process. Complex systems that are multidisciplinary and highly nonlinear in nature are the primary focus of this paper. Therefore, techniques such as response surface approximations and Game Theory are used to discuss and solve the issues related to multidisciplinary optimization. Nonlinear control theory is used in this paper as a new approach to study the stability of equilibrium points of the design space. Illustrations of the results are provided in the form of the study of the decentralized design of a pressure vessel.  相似文献

The notion of sequential stability in the synthesis of decentralized control for large scale systems is introduced in this paper. This notion is concerned with the property of a synthesis technique which allows the decentralized controllers of a large scale system to be connected to the systems one at a time (in a sequential way) such that the controlled system remains stable at all times. The motivation for introducing this constraint is that in practical terms, it is generally impossible to connect all decentralized controllers to a system simultaneously (due to the difficulties of communication etc.). A practical design procedure for the synthesis of a decentralized robust regulator for the servomechanism problem, based on a sequential approach to system design, is then given. The design procedure proceeds in two stages: (1) decentralized controllers are initially connected to the system in a sequential way to guarantee stability; (2) the parameters of the decentralized controllers are then sequentially adjusted, in a way to guarantee stability, so as to optimize a given performance index for the system. Applications of the above procedure are then made to the synthesis of centralized multivariable controllers and to the decentralized robust control of unknown systems.A simple example is given to illustrate the design synthesis.  相似文献

讨论一类不确定广义系统分散容错控制器设计问题.首先利用线性矩阵不等式(LMI)设计分散状态反馈控制器,使得广义系统执行器未出现故障时渐近稳定;接着针对广义系统的部分执行器出现故障的情况设计分散状态反馈控制器,使得闭环广义系统渐近稳定;进而利用LMI设计广义系统在分散状态反馈作用下具有完整性的容错控制器;同时对传感器故障情形设计了广义系统在分散输出反馈作用下具有完整性的容错控制器,得到了不确定广义系统关于执行器和传感器的分散容错控制器设计的方法.将所设计的控制器用于实际电子网络系统,验证了所提出方法的有效性.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a new system theoretic concept, decentralized blocking zeros, and its applications in the design of decentralized controllers for linear time-invariant finite-dimensional systems. The concept of decentralized blocking zeros is a generalization of its centralized counterpart to multichannel systems under decentralized control. Decentralized blocking zeros are defined as the common blocking zeros of the main diagonal transfer matrices and various complementary transfer matrices of a given plant. As an application of this concept, we consider the decentralized strong stabilization problem (DSSP) where the objective is to stabilize a plant using a stable decentralized controller. It is shown that a parity interlacing property should be satisfied among the real unstable poles and real unstable decentralized blocking zeros of the plant for the DSSP to be solvable. That parity interlacing property is also sufficient for the solution of the DSSP for a large class of plants satisfying a certain connectivity condition. The DSSP is exploited in the solution of a special decentralized simultaneous stabilization problem, called the decentralized concurrent stabilization problem (DCSP). Various applications of the DCSP in the design of controllers for large-scale systems are also discussed  相似文献

Decentralized control is a practical control methodology for large-scale multivariable systems. This paper presents a LQR design methodology to design a state-feedback decentralized high-gain analog controller, which gives the desired decentralized performance of the controlled analog system. Then, a prediction-based decentralized low-gain digital controller is developed from the decentralized high-gain analog controller for the hybrid controlled system. As a result, the complexity and cost of hardware implementation of the controller can be significantly reduced. In order to improve the performance of the decentralized hybrid system, the evolutionary programming (EP) is employed to tune the observer-based decentralized tracker. Some examples are presented to illustrate the developed design methodology.  相似文献

In this paper, the decentralized control of generalized systems is considered via a frequency domain approach. Firstly, based on the design of generalized decentralized observer‐based controllers, a state‐space representation of the decentralized Bezout identity is developed for generalized decentralized control systems with two control channels. Secondly, all the stabilizing decentralized controllers are parameterized. Thirdly, a design procedure is proposed, and an example is given to illustrate the design procedure.  相似文献

Supervisory controller design to enforce boundedness, liveness, and reversibility in Petri nets is considered. The Petri nets considered may have non-unity weight arcs and both controllable and uncontrollable transitions. Algorithms for a centralized controller design approach are first developed. The developed algorithms always find a controller whenever it exists. This controller enforces boundedness, liveness, and reversibility; it also avoids deadlock. Furthermore, it is shown that the controller obtained is the least restrictive controller among all controllers which enforce desired properties. A decentralized controller design approach, based on overlapping decompositions, is then introduced. Algorithms to design decentralized controllers based on this approach are also developed. These controllers, when they exist, also guarantees boundedness, liveness, reversibility and deadlock freeness. The decentralized controllers have two main advantages over the centralized ones. First, they have reduced on-line computation and communication requirements. Second, the computational time required to design decentralized controllers is considerably less than that required for centralized controllers.  相似文献

针对大系统分散控制中的全局稳定性问题,将分散控制问题与优化问题相结合.提出了一种新的分散控制方法。该方法利用参数特征结构配置方法将分散控制转化为最优问题.通过求解最优问题得到子系统特征结构的参数,从而得到子系统的局域控制器。该控制器不但使子系统具有鲁棒性,而且保证了大系统的全局稳定性。由于分散控制还可以进行并行计算,因此可以提高计算速度。最后对空间站的数值进行了仿真,仿真结果表明,此算法是可行的。  相似文献

This paper presents a new tool for decentralized output-feedback control design of large-scale nonlinear systems in the presence of non-smooth sensor noise. Through a recursive control design approach, the closed-loop decentralized system is transformed into a network of input-to-state stable (ISS) systems and the influences of the sensor noise are represented by ISS gains. The decentralized control objective is achieved by applying the cyclic-small-gain theorem to the closed-loop decentralized system. Moreover, the outputs of the closed-loop decentralized system can be driven arbitrarily close to the levels of their corresponding sensor noise.  相似文献

In general, due to the interactions among subsystems, it is difficult to design an H decentralized controller for nonlinear interconnected systems. The model reference tracking control problem of nonlinear interconnected systems is studied via H decentralized fuzzy control method. First, the nonlinear interconnected system is represented by an equivalent Takagi-Sugeno type fuzzy model. A state feedback decentralized fuzzy control scheme is developed to override the external disturbances such that the H∞ model reference tracking performance is achieved. Furthermore, the stability of the nonlinear interconnected systems is also guaranteed. If states are not all available, a decentralized fuzzy observer is proposed to estimate the states of each subsystem for decentralized control. Consequently, a fuzzy observer-based state feedback decentralized fuzzy controller is proposed to solve the H tracking control design problem for nonlinear interconnected systems. The problem of H decentralized fuzzy tracking control design for nonlinear interconnected systems is characterized in terms of solving an eigenvalue problem (EVP). The EVP can be solved very efficiently using convex optimization techniques. Finally, simulation examples are given to illustrate the tracking performance of the proposed methods  相似文献

This paper presents a new optimized decentralized controller design method for solving the tracking and disturbance rejection problems for large-scale linear time-invariant systems, using only low-order decentralized controllers. To illustrate the type of results which can be obtained using the new optimized decentralized control design method, the control of a large flexible space structure is studied and compared with the standard centralized LQR-observer controller. The order of the resultant decentralized controller is much smaller than that of the standard centralized LQR-observer controller. The proposed controller also has certain fail-safe properties and, in addition, it can be five orders of magnitude more robust than the standard LQR-observer controller based on their real stability radii. The new decentralized controller design method is applied to a large flexible space structure system with 5 inputs and 5 outputs and of order 24.  相似文献

A novel decentralized PID controller design procedure based on backstepping principles is presented to operate multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)dynamic processes.The first key feature of the design procedure is that a whole MIMO control system is decomposed into multiple control loops,therefore the sub-controllers can be efficiently flexibly designed in parallel prototype. The second key feature is that the decentralized controller has equivalency to those designed by backstepping approach.As a complementary support to the design procedure,the sufficient condition of the whole closed-loop system stability is analyzed via the small gain theorem and it can be proven that the process tracking performance is improved.The simulation results of the Shell benchmark control problem are provided to verify the effectiveness and practicality of the proposed decentralized PID control.  相似文献

This paper deals with the decentralized overlapping control of interconnected systems. The notion of a quotient overlapping fixed mode (QOFM) is first introduced and it is shown that a mode of an interconnected linear time-invariant system can be shifted by means of a general decentralized overlapping controller if and only if it is not a QOFM. It is then asserted that any interconnected system with no unstable QOFM can be stabilized by using an appropriate finite-dimensional linear time-varying controller. It is also shown how the existing results aiming at designing a decentralized controller of a certain type such as generalized sampled-data hold function, finite-dimensional linear time-varying, and sampled-data can be utilized to design a decentralized overlapping controller of a desired form, in order to achieve any design specification. The efficacy of the results is elucidated through two numerical examples.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the problem of robust decentralized Hinfinity control design for nonlinear interconnected systems with uncertainty. It presents, respectively, a state feedback control design and an output feedback control design, which will stabilize the plant and guarantee an Hinfinity-norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation for all admissible uncertainties. The interconnection between the robust decentralized Hinfinity control problem and the nonlinear decentralized Hinfinity control for systems without uncertainty is established. Based on this interconnection, the solvable conditions of robust decentralized Hinfinity control is proposed in terms of Hamilton-Jacobi inequality.  相似文献

This paper studies the problem of global robust disturbance attenuation via decentralized state feedback for a class of large-scale nonlinear systems with parameter and interconnection uncertainties. The parameter uncertainty is from a compact set and the uncertain interconnections are bounded by higher-order polynomials of state variables. The problem that we address is to design a robust decentralized controller such that the closed-loop large-scale nonlinear system is input-to-state stable and the L2 gain from the disturbance input to the controlled output is below a prescribed value for all admissible uncertain parameters and interconnections. A Lyapunov-based recursive design approach is developed to construct the decentralized controller explicitly. As a special case, the problem of almost disturbance decoupling via decentralized state feedback is also solved.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with decentralized control problems. There are two typical procedures to design decentralized controllers, ‘independent’ and ‘sequential’ design procedures. As the concepts and the techniques in these two approaches are too different from each other, there have been no attempts to unify these approaches.
