A novel indirect evaporative chiller driven by outdoor dry air to produce cold water as the cooling source for air conditioning
systems is introduced, and the principle and the structure of the chiller is presented. The cold water can be produced almost
reversibly under ideal working conditions, with its temperature infinitely close to the dew point temperature of the inlet
air. The key components of the chiller are an air cooler and a padding tower. To improve the heat transfer performance inside
the chiller, a quasi-countercurrent air cooler was designed; a subsection linear method was used for the mathematical model
of the padding tower. The first indirect evaporative chiller, designed and developed in 2005, has been in use in Kairui Building,
a big hotel in Shihezi, Xinjiang Autonomous Region. The tested temperature of the water produced is below the wet bulb temperature
of outdoor air and reached the average value of the dew point temperature and the wet bulb temperature of outdoor air. As
the running components are only pumps and fans, the COP (cooling energy for room divided by power cost) of this chiller is
high, and the drier the outdoor air, the higher COP the chiller obtained. Since no CFCs are used in this chiller, it would
not cause any pollution to the aerosphere. Finally, the application prospect of the indirect evaporative chiller in the world

Cooling water systems and refrigeration systems are required to provide cold utility to chemical processes. Little attention has been placed on the structure and system interactions between cooling systems and processes. In this article, an integrated design and retrofit method for cooling systems is reviewed. For cooling water system design, a new design methodology has been developed for debottlenecking of cooling water systems. Reuse of cooling water between different cooling duties enables cooling water networks to be designed with series arrangements. This allows better cooling tower performance and increased cooling tower capacity. The interactions between the performance of the cooling tower and the design of cooling water networks are explored systematically. For refrigeration system design, a systematic design and retrofit method has been proposed for refrigeration systems using pure or mixed refrigerants. A graphical exergy analysis method, the z -H diagram, is introduced to help engineers obtain understanding and insights into complex refrigeration systems. The systematic synthesis method proposed in this article can greatly improve operating efficiency for refrigerant systems. 相似文献

在冷却塔内气流流场特性试验分析的基础上,针对淮北国安电力有限公司2号机冷却塔存在的增容后循环水冷却不够、冷却塔内水流不均的问题,实施了增容改造方案,重新布置了配水系统和淋水装置。淋水区填料采取不等高布置,且不同区域采用不同出水口径达到不同的淋水密度,使配水、配风更趋合理均匀。改造后的应用效果表明,冷却塔的冷却效率大为提高,满足了机组增容改造要求且节能降耗明显。 相似文献

在传统电冰箱的基础上,另独立设置2个保温箱贮存冷热饮用水。冷水制取是在冷水箱中设置蒸发器,将冷水箱中的水制冷。热水制取是在热水箱中设置逆流套管式冷凝器,利用制冷系统的排热量将饮水机中的水加热到一定温度,如温度不够则再通过电加热器,可将饮用水加热至沸腾,冷凝管通热水箱后可采用风冷式和水冷却两种方式相结合。根据设计和理论计算,多功能电冰箱的冷凝器可将饮用水加热到65℃左右,再用电加热器,可将饮用水加热至沸腾,比市场上纯粹用电加热的饮水机可节电22.31W;利用制冷系统将冷水箱中的水制冷,每产生4℃冷饮用水2L比市场上一般的压缩式制冷饮水机可节约大约2.3×105J的能量。 相似文献

A computer simulation of solar powered absorption air conditioning systems is discussed. The results of simulations of various systems composed of conventional flat plate or evacuated tube collectors, wet or dry cooling towers, lithium bromide-water or aqua-ammonia working fluids and hot water, chilled water or refrigerant storage alternatives are obtained over a common operating cycle. Performance of the lithium bromide-water working fluid is shown to be superior to aqua-ammonia. Relative performance gains realized with the evacuated tube collector and relative performance losses associated with the dry cooling tower are presented. Chilled water storage is shown to be advantageous for an evacuated collector, dry cooling tower, lithium bromide-water system. 相似文献
