Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation is one of the important methods to study the performance and in-fluencing factors of turbine flow sensors. According to the working characteristics of the turbine flow sensor, the passive simulation method based on the six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) model and dynamic mesh is proposed in this paper. The reliability of the simulation method is verified by steady-state experiments and unsteady-state experiments. The results show that the trend of meter factor with flow rate acquired from the simulation is close to the experimental results, and the deviation between the simulation result and the experiment result is low with a maximum deviation of 2.88%. In the unsteady simulation study, the impeller speed changes with the inlet velocity of the turbine flow sensor, which has a good follow-up. The passive simulation method can be used to predict the dynamic performance of the turbine flow sensor. 相似文献

潮汐双向贯流式水轮机与常规贯流式水轮机的重要区别在于其需要兼顾正向和反向来流工况。为了均衡提升双向贯流式水轮机正反向运行条件下的性能,针对某潮汐双向贯流式水轮机,本文采用商业软件ANSYS CFX,研究了不同后置导叶位置和数量对双向贯流式水轮机性能及内部流动特性的影响。对比结果可知,后置导叶位置和后置导叶数量对机组反向发电时的性能影响较大,后置导叶安放位置系数为0.5和后置导叶数量为8时,机组总体性能较好。随着后置导叶数量增加,正向工况时尾水管水力损失减小,后置导叶通道水力损失反而增大;反向工况时转轮水力损失不断减小,转轮效率逐渐增大。研究成果为潮汐双向贯流式水轮机关键过流部件的优化设计提供技术参考。 相似文献

The multiphase flow in the solid-liquid tank stirred with a new structure of Intermig impeller was analyzed by computational fluid dynamics(CFD).The Eulerian multiphase model and standard k-ε turbulence model were adopted to simulate the fluid flow,turbulent kinetic energy distribution,mixing performance and power consumption in a stirred tank.The simulation results were also verified by the water model experiments,and good agreement was achieved.The solid-liquid mixing performances of Intermig impeller with different blade structures were compared in detail.The results show that the improved Intermig impeller not only enhances the solid mixing and suspension,but also saves more than 20% power compared with the standard one.The inner blades have relatively little influence on power and the best angle of inner blades is 45°,while the outer blades affect greatly the power consumption and the optimized value is 45°. 相似文献

Due to the high salt content of coal chemical wastewater, pipeline fouling often occurs during wastewater treatment. Fouling will cause the diameter of the pipe to shrink or even block, which is not conducive to the safe and stable operation of the wastewater treatment process. In this paper, the experimental device was designed by using FLUENT software and the fouling deposition mechanisms at different flow velocities and different positions in a 90 deg bend were studied. The experimental results show that when the flow velocity is between 0.2 m·s~(-1) and 0.3 m·s~(-1), the thickness of fouling layer was positively correlated with the flow velocity; when the flow velocity is equal to 0.4 m·s~(-1), the formation of fouling is the most serious; when the flow velocity is between 0.4 m·s~(-1) and 0.7 m·s~(-1), the thickness of fouling layer was negative correlation with the flow velocity; with the increase of inlet velocity, the time for sediment point to develop into sediment surface is shortened. The fouling layer is easy to fall off because of the large shear force on the wall surface of the inner bend of the 90° elbow, so the density of sediment at this position is high. 相似文献

The hydrodynamics of a two-dimensional gas–solid fluidized bed reactor were studied experimentally and computationally. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation results from a commercial CFD software package, Fluent, were compared to those obtained by experiments conducted in a fluidized bed containing spherical glass beads of 250– in diameter. A multifluid Eulerian model incorporating the kinetic theory for solid particles was applied in order to simulate the gas–solid flow. Momentum exchange coefficients were calculated using the Syamlal–O’Brien, Gidaspow, and Wen–Yu drag functions. The solid-phase kinetic energy fluctuation was characterized by varying the restitution coefficient values from 0.9 to 0.99. The modeling predictions compared reasonably well with experimental bed expansion ratio measurements and qualitative gas–solid flow patterns. Pressure drops predicted by the simulations were in relatively close agreement with experimental measurements at superficial gas velocities higher than the minimum fluidization velocity, Umf. Furthermore, the predicted instantaneous and time-average local voidage profiles showed similarities with the experimental results. Further experimental and modeling efforts are required in a comparable time and space resolutions for the validation of CFD models for fluidized bed reactors. 相似文献

The steady gas-particle flow in risers under variant operating conditions was predicted based on a k-ε-kp-εp-Θ two-fluid model, which describes the dense turbulent gas-particle flow by the Eulerian method, considering the turbulence of both gas and particles as well as the particles' collisional effects. Much information on the macro flow behavior in risers, such as the profiles of local particle axial velocity, solids volume fraction, and solids mass flux in different operating regimes was obtained, and the predicted results show satisfactory agreement with experimental data. Turbulent flow field comparison and related suitability for fish passage of a standard and a simplified low‐gradient vertical slot fishway 下载免费PDF全文
Fishways are hydraulic structures that allow passage of fish across obstructions in rivers. Vertical slot fishways—VSFs—are considered the most efficient and least selective type of technical fishway solutions, especially due to their ability to remain effective even when significant upstream and/or downstream water level fluctuations occur. The scope of the present study is to perform numerical simulations in order to investigate and compare the hydraulic turbulent flow field in a standard and a simplified version of the most common VSF design. Implications in relation to fish swimming behaviour and fish passage performance are discussed. Different water depths (as well as discharges) were investigated, using a bed slope of 5%, as a reference for low‐gradient VSFs with a very limited selectivity that can be used in multispecies rivers in grayling‐barbel regions. Results show that maximum values of velocity, turbulent kinetic energy, and Reynolds stresses are higher in the standard design. However, corresponding to slot geometry and orientation, the direction of the main jet in the simplified design is more inclined towards the left side of the pool. This causes the eddy to split into 2 smaller ones; the minimum eddy dimension is reduced from 0.4–0.5 to 0.2–0.3 m. These dimensions are detrimental for fish passage efficiency, being more comparable with fish length (0.15–0.40 m), thus affecting migrating fish stability and orientation. Furthermore, the standard design provides a more straightforward upstream path and wider areas of low flow velocities and turbulence, useful for fish resting. Therefore, it is recommended that the standard design should be preferred over its simplified version, even if its construction costs are around 10–15% higher than the simplified one. 相似文献

The non-isothermal gas-solid flow through a U-bend of a pneumatic conveying dryer system is calculated using the commercial CFD program Fluent 6.1. Steady-state, incompressible and non-isothermal gas-solid flows are employed to simulate the cases. Variables studied include: particle diameter, particle density, solid loading ratio, feed gas temperature, heat flux through the wall, gas velocity and bend radius ratio on heat transfer phenomena between gas and solid particles. Validation is done by comparing calculation results with the available experimental data provided by Baughn et al. [J.W. Baughn, H. Iacovides, D.C. Jackson, B.E. Launder, Local heat transfer measurements in turbulent flow around a 180° pipe bend, Journal of Heat Transfer 109 (1) (1987) 43-48] and Depew and Farbar [C.A. Depew, L. Farbar, Heat transfer to pneumatically conveyed glass particles of fixed size, Journal of Heat Transfer 85 (1963) 164-172].In general, data validations of both cases show good agreement. The gas temperature decreases and the solid temperature increases along the axial direction of the pipe due to transfer of heat from the gas phase to the solid phase. The gas temperature decreases significantly at the outer bend wall due to an accumulation of particles, which causes much more energy to be transferred from the gas to solid phases. At the inner bend wall, the gas temperature decreases slightly but the solid temperature increases significantly due to a low concentration of particles. A U-bend significantly increases the local and area average Nu numbers, but not the mass average Nu number. The slip velocity and particle distribution are the major factors influencing the value of the mass average Nu number. 相似文献
